ICIS AND LUKE WERE BOTH SUICIDAL. They only spoke about death when they weren't talking about sex. That's why they loved each other so much. They always planned to kill themselves together, but everyone always stopped them. Then they found this tree.
They sat together on the highest branch, far from people who would stop them. They wore their necklaces of rope and were watching the sun set.
Luke kissed her,"You ready?"
"Always have been." said Icis.
Slowly, they fell and that was it, sweet release. All you could hear was the sound of the ropes groaning from the weight of their burdens.
And if you listen closer you can hear the insane laughter of a teenage boy and a teenage girl. The insane, happy laughter of finally being dead.
