zion, jay and nick run out from backstage while no hook was blasting. everyone was screaming and yelling while i stood there watching.
i watched nick touch some of the hands of his fans while they started freaking out like he was jesus himself.
jay extra ass took off his shirt and glizzy threw water at the crowd. i don't see why people do that at their shows but anyways.
no hook faded out & bounce out played. he grabbed fans, who were super excited when they got chose, to dance with him. that made me smile a little for some reason.
nick spotted me in the crowd. our eye contact got cut short when someone walked by in front of me. still looking at each other, he smiled meaning he was gonna do something.
while this song also faded out he put his hand up, signaling for the dj to stop. everyone quieted down as he put the microphone to his lips.
"i'm finna stop the show right quick. because i have something to say to someone special. she don't like me so much right now but it don't matter," he said walking over to where i was at.
i mouthed 'no' but he still reached for my hand and pulled me on stage. he pulled me into a side hug then spoke into the microphone again.
"if i apologize to her right now, y'all think she gone accept my apology?" everyone started screaming yes.
i tried to hide my smile. "y'all look she already smiling." he laughed.
then he did something that surprised me all the way. he was on one knee holding my hand.
"you know i love you right?"
i nodded.
"aye but look, i don't want you to be mad at me anymore. i never meant to lead you into thinking that i didn't trust you. and i'm sorry for what i said to you that day. now ion do this apology shit, and you the first and last person i'd ever kneel down for. but if it means you forgiving me then i'm all for it. so what you say ?"
the smile on my face spread even more. i nodded and said yes and pulled him up into a hug.
everyone cheered at us, many pulled out their
phones to record and take pictures.
"come here," he grabbed my face & kissed me. i kissed him back making everyone go wild.

one month later
"happy birthday genesis!"
i smiled and hugged everybody who was around me.
"thanks guys."
a lot of people showed up for my birthday today, some that i've never even seen. it was nick's idea to throw the party.
surprisingly, amaria also showed up. i didn't she would come since we didn't talk anymore. i spotted a few other familiar faces from school too.
nick went out his way to get everything in a blue colored theme since that was my favorite color.
nick's mom and his aunt cocoe got everyone's attention so that we could take pictures. cocoe handed me two balloons which were supposed to make the number 18.
i held the balloons with one in each hand. nick got behind me holding me from the back with his hands wrapped around my lower stomach. we stayed like that for a minute or two while everyone was taking pictures.
when that was over , everyone went back to what they were doing.
"happy birthday genesis," amaria walked up to me. i gave her the smallest smile. "thank you."
the tension between the two of us was real. everything was kinda awkward, & i could see she was trying to break the tension by making small talk.
"how's everything been?" she asked. "everything's fine i guess."
from there, the few sentences we were exchanging turned into a full blown conversation. it was as if nothing happened between us.
while in the midst of my sentence, devin pulled me over to where he was at because i was needed for more pictures. right after that we decided i should open presents.

"turn that music off & come help me take this stuff out. and stop eating up all the cake," nick said with a garbage bag in his hand. meanwhile i was in the bathroom wiping off the makeup i had on.
"can we take all this down tomorrow? ion feel like it."
"no. i do not i want this house looking like a mess, so getcho ass over here and help me clean up."
i turned the music up a little bit, putting another piece in my mouth.
i ignored what he said cause i was not going to do all this work in one night.
"you gone dance my kid out onto the floor," he said walking inside the bathroom to throw something away.
"i'm not even dancing i'm just singing along," i lied. he came out the bathroom continuing to pick things up.
"nick," i called. "nick."
"i said, nick."
"nicholas alexander sant—" "what?"
"why you wanna answer now , stupid. anyways. what you think the gender's gone be?"
he thought for a second. "probably a girl."
"i'm thinking it's a boy," i said changing the song after it finished. "but wouldn't you wanna be dressing her up and allat ?"
"no, i always said if i ever had a kid it was gone be a boy. it's gone be momma's boy."
"no it's gone be daddy's girl."
"let me get this ultrasound done and we gone see who right ," i said grabbing my towel so i could take a shower.
"aye lemme hop innea with you," he said with a corny ass smile on his face. "no, cause you gone try to do sum."
"and who said you can't have sex while you pregnant?" "nahmir, that's weird bye." "but it's on google."
"and google ain't finna be the reason i let you dislocate my son's body parts."
"i'm sure you meant 'my daughter' " "no i mean son."
"i'm not going to wait nine months before i can get back to rearranging your insides genesis."
i ignored him and close the door. i turned on the shower, took my clothes off and got in.
while i was washing my face i heard the bathroom door close. "nahmir you better not even try it."
for the next few seconds i didn't hear nothing so i figured he left. just as i was about to look through the curtain to see he stepped inside.
