Min Suga liked to say that he was passionate. Passionate about everything he did. Passionate about his work, his studies, his friendships, relationships, family...
His dream was to get into a good entertainment company, sit in a big chair with headphones on and produce music that would turn into big hits.
Somewhat he did that, only half way though. Instead of a studio he was sitting in a office, behind a desk and computer screen, files spread everywhere around him, probably drinking his fifth coffee of the day.
This was what his life was now and beyond the good pay he didn't say much pluses to the position he was on. He was the secretary for the CEO of the biggest entertainment company, saw singers, songwriters and producers come in and out every day and yet never worked with them.
It was hell made out especially for him to suffer.
The sound of his bosses door opening made him snap out of his depressing thoughts and he gathered up a few papers from his desk and pass them to the figure that stopped to look down at him.
He met her eyes as he spoke "A few requests came in for collaborations, they specified who they wanna work with and I checked how many of them can fit the schedule. These are only the ones that actually could be done if you approve them." he said and the woman nodded curtly.
"Thanks. Do you wanna grab coffee with me, the break is gonna start soon." she asked and Yoongi looked over at the pile of papers he should really start working on and sighed.
Did the papers stop him from going to get his sixth coffee of the day? The answer is no. No it didn't. So he was currently sitting in a coffee shop while Y/N, his boss, got them both coffee. The plastic cup was placed in front of him and then she slid into the seat opposite of him.
"You look like you really needed to get out of there." she said and Yoongi nodded.
"What's wrong Min? You've been working here for two months and you look more worn out than the people that are ready for retirement." she twisted the lid of the cup around "Am I being to harsh on you?" his eyes grew in size at the statement.
"No, no, no! Of course not!" he panicked "It's just that...I guess this isn't the life I planned out for myself."
"Well I didn't think I'd be running a company either and look at me now. We all do things we don't like. Yea the money is nice, and I buy myself a new bike every two years but..."
"You? On a bike?" was the only thing he could take out of that conversation.
"Why? Is that hard to believe?" she raised an eyebrow and he nodded bluntly "Yea...it is. Can't imagine you sitting on a bike in that skirt and blazer. Not to be rude but you seem to prim for it." he said and she scoffed and grabbed her coffee.
"Breaks over Min. Time to get to that paperwork you're so slow on." she teased and he followed after her rolling his eyes at her childish act.
A few days later when she walked out of her office, Yoongi was blasting music on his headphones and clicking away on his personal laptop.
She tapped his shoulder and he turned around only to see her with crossed arms and raised eyebrows already questioning what he was doing at work.
"Shit." he cursed quietly and she looked at his screen only to see that he was producing on his laptop.
"I see you're busy." she commented sarcastically and he rubbed his palms against his thighs as he turned to her "Sorry...I just thought I'd use my break differently." a light blush spread across his face.
"What are you even working on?" she asked as she grabbed the headphones he just took off and listened to the light melody and beat flowing along with lyrics that were sung in two contrasting but beautiful voices.
"This your work?" she asked, not showing any actual reaction to it, making the man besides her sweat "Yea...mine, with help from friends here and there."
"It's good."
"Really?"
"Yea."
"Thanks." he smiled before she put the headphones down on his desk.
"Put that away at work, it's unprofessional." she said, immediately killing his mood and moving towards the door that lead to the main hallways.
"Oh by the way..." she stopped when her hand was on the doorknob "I'm going to that cafe, want me to bring you anything?" she asked to which he just shook his head "I'm good."
"Okay. Come meet me before you make your leave today, I'll be in the meeting room if I'm not in the office."
Hours later Yoongi peaked into his bosses office and noticed that she indeed wasn't there so he made his way to the floor above them to see if she was in a meeting. He looked through the glass windows that showed him a clear view of her walking around the room, holding a presentation of the next project.
She was so confident, talking about all of the plans and steps that the company needs to take, from listing down producers to defining what genre they will be working on, answered every question off the bat and argued against any criticizing that she didn't approve of.
She was really owning it for someone that didn't like her job.
A few minutes later, bodies began rushing out of the room, all ready to go home after a long day, and in the end she was the last one to leave.
"Oh...you're here. I'll just go grab my stuff from the office and we'll meet at the front desk." Yoongi could only gave a small nod before she was spinning around and walking off down to the elevator.
Something about her whole look and attitude these days has had him on edge non stop.
It gave a thrill to the boring job he was working.
Minutes later she was down with him and walking out of the building to get a cab.
"Come on, I don't have a lot of time on my hands." she said and he followed after her.
"Where are we going?" he asked after a few minutes of silent driving and then the car stopped in front of a old building, no bigger than the smallest convenience store you could imagine.
"You're not gonna kill me here are you?" he asked, not as much as a joke as he wanted to and she breathed out a short laugh as she unlocked the door that lead down to the basement.
"No...Come on. I wanna show you something." she said and walked down into the basement.
It was a studio. Full of different equipment that he could only ever dream of.
"Woah..." he passed his hands over the work space, and viewed the box on the other side of the glass panel just waiting for someone to sing their hearts out into the mics.
"I didn't invest much in making it look presentable on the outside, but made sure it was best where it counts."
"So you produce music too?"
"Yea...this is where I started off. It's always been a studio, but not as good."
"This is amazing." he whispered, still looking around, stunned by everything.
"Hello??" another voice interrupted them and both turned to the stairs.
"Oh hey, it's just you." Y/N spoke "Yoongi this is Kim Namjoon, he works for the company, but produces here with me." she said and the two guys shook hands.
"This is my secretary Joon, he likes to produce music on the side so I thought I'd bring him in here to see him work if he's up for it?"
She stared at Yoongi, waiting for an answer and when the male gleefully nodded his head.
She might have just earned a position of the best boss in the whole entire world with this.
Okay so it's gonna be in two parts, cuz it would be too long in one part and too short to make it like my first Jungkook WAR!AU oneshot. I mostly only have two formats on this site. Either stories that are cut into pieces up to 2K words or long ass stories with 10K words in only one part.
ALSOOOO!!! QUICK NOTE! But I was thinking of starting to post these on AO3, I noticed that the it's a really easy to read view of the stories, and I read a lot of stuff there too. What are your thoughts on the idea? Stay only on wattpad or spread on AO3 too (Archive of out own, for those who don't know what it is).
