Fire,
A thing most people use for warmth,
For light in darker time,
As a beacon of hope.
But what if the fire blazes too bright?
The heat too much to handle?
A source of pain.
For him my love pierced his heart like an arrow caught fire,
Through the center with the splash of a million colors,
Touching every part of his heart,
His being.
But a long like that burns too quickly,
Too fiercely for a person not strong enough for the heat,
The color only gasoline,
Adding to the destruction of the flames.
And by the end?
When the cinders turn to ash,
With nothing to rekindle her fires?
She will move on,
Tears evaporating off her cheeks as she walks away.
