Decisions

  Decisions,
Something I have never been good at.

To miss someone or not miss someone?
Miss them and admit a part of you wants them desperately in your life,
Or not miss them and try and forget a past that defines most of recent years.

Make new goals or scrape to meet the old ones?
The new goals mean starting from scratch and hoping for the best,
The old mean refiguring them into your present,
Versus the Past.

  Choose heart or choose mind?
The heart still broken and trying to fix itself,
Or the mind that is so foggy that the travel is almost treacherous.

Grey area has never been my strong suit,
And by the end of the day I like being either in the white or black area,
No shuffling about,
No dodging from one to the other,
Just one spot where the mind and heart can both be at ease,

But is that place even in existence anymore?

I fear it was never really there to begin with,
Just a sad falsification to make the world easier to bear.

So I stand in the labyrinth of Decisions,
Paths unmarked and undecided,
So many to Choose,
So little Time.

  Or so it feels.

Author's note:
It's been rough, to say the least. But peddling on I suppose. More to come hopefully. Feedback on my poetry/stories would be appreciate :) till next time, ~J
