*Phils mums point of view*
I sat down and watched Phil stand up at alter. I was tearing up, my boy was finally going to marry Dan. I really didn't like Dan at first. I didn't care he was gay, but it seemed like Phil was getting distracted by him, and when I heard that he was moving out to live with Dan... I wasn't very happy.
He claimed that he was in love with him. I on the other hand, thought either he had no idea what love really was, or the love would run out within a month, but I couldn't have been farther from the truth.
I figured that out a year later when the love still hadn't run out. I just thought, he doesn't know what love really is. He came over to my house on Valentines Day. We have a big land area and and he was wondering if he could bring Dan there. I of course was very against it, that's a very romantic place where people do very romantic... things.
*past 2012*
"Mum please!" He begged me, this was the twentieth time.
"No! Not yet." I thought they were going to break up anyway, so 'not yet' meant not ever.
"Why not?!" He was starting to get mad at me. I would too, Dan really is great once you get to know him, but I was clueless at the time.
"Because, I'm your mother and I said no!" I fought him, he huffed.
"Please mum?" He asked quietly.
"Why do you like this guy so much anyway?!" I shouted at him, I have had enough, I watched his face drop.
"You don't like him. Do you?"
"Well... I-"
"Do you?" He repeated himself, he looked more mad now. I shook my head, I didn't like him.
"Why?! How don't like him?!" He threw his hands up in the air, his face was turning a little red too.
"He's a distraction." I crossed my arms.
"A distraction?!" He look astounded at me. "I can't believe you! Have you even met Dan, like really met him? Dan is amazing, alright? You can't talk crap about him until you know him. I love him! He makes me happier then I've ever been in my life. We go on dates and he's just the sweetest person in the world mum. He asks me out! I had to do all the work in my old relationships! If I'm talking to him, he'll block everyone out and listen to me. He always stands up for me and is always smiling at me. And he gives me this look. This amazing look, like I'm the only person in the world." He had the dreamiest look on his face. "So if you don't like him so be it, I like him and that's all that matters." He stopped pacing in front of me.
That's when I realized, Phil really was in love with Dan. Phil has never argued with me like that. The second I said I didn't really like his other boyfriends, he accepted it, but not this time.
"You can go." I said smiling.
"Really?" He asked also smiling.
"You two obviously love each other so yes."
*present 2022*
I held up the camera, Phil asked if I could talk to it. Someone else is recording the wedding.
"Hello!" I said to the camera. "Do you think the red light means it's on?" I asked my husband, I was hoping it was on.
"Yeah I think so..." He didn't round too sure.
"Well I'm at my sons wedding! He asked me to record myself and to say some words, I have no idea what to say. What do you think I should say?" I asked him.
"I don't know, tell a story." He shrugged, I thought for a moment.
"Oh I got one! I remember one time..." I told the story about how I didn't like Dan at first.
"Ok bye! The weddings starting!" I said. "How do I turn this off?" I asked.
*Zoes point of view*
"Hello everybody!" I smiled at the camera. I was sitting next to Alfie, Joe and a few others waiting for the wedding to start.
"Hi guys!" Alfie said next to me.
"Dan and Phil asks us to say some things for you guys, so here we are." I smiled.
"Yeah, and I gotta say it's beautiful." Alfie smirked over at me, I gave a small smile back.
"He's just saying that because Louise and I decorated it." He put his hands up in surrender.
"Hey Joe." I said bringing the camera to him.
"Oh hey." He jumped at the camera.
"Are you enjoying the wedding so far?" I asked him.
"Yeah, I skipped breakfast though, so I'm a little hungry." He said, I rolled my eyes.
"You are always thinking about food I swear." I was a little hungry too, I wasn't going to admit that though.
"It's great though." He nodded and looked ahead.
"The wedding's starting any minute now, I'm so excited. I've never been this excited for a wedding." I said happily.
"Yeah, I feel like everyone's like that with Dan and Phil." Alfie responded. I nodded, everyone's going to be crying because they are so happy.
We heard the music start.
"Ok bye guys, it's starting!" I whispered and shut off the camera.
*Phils point of view*
"Are you positive that everything will be recorded?" I asked the cameraman for the fortieth time, I just wanted everything to be perfect.
"As I said before, everything is going great, so you get up there and wait for your groom." He grinned at me and I smiled back at him. I had cameras recording the wedding so I could post everything. I was really hoping that the people I asked to record themselves, would record themselves.
The wedding was starting in five minutes, I was finally going to marry Dan. Not only am I marrying the love of my life, but Dan making videos will be much easier too. You have no idea how many times Dan has had to redo a video because he forgot to take the engagement ring off.
"Hey guys." I took the camera out from my pocket. "I just wanted to say a quick hello before I had to walk to the alter. Which is in four minutes." I said looking at my phone. I released a breath I didn't realize I was holding in. "Well, the next time I'll talk to you, I'll be a married man. Goodbye for now!" I smiled and turned off the camera.
I walked up to the alter and looked around. Everyone I loved was there. I saw my family, my mum, dad, my soon-to-be-brother-in-law, my grandparents, Dan's grandparents, and so many more people. I saw an empty spot next to Dan's brother, that was for his mum after walking him down the aisle. He wasn't in the wedding though because he didn't want any attention on him, he hated it.
I looked some more and saw all my friends too, Zoe, Alfie, Joe, Marcus, Oli, Joey, Daniel, Troye, Felix (PewDiePie), Marzia, Sean (Jacksepticeye), Mark (Markiplier), and so many others. Everyone I was close to, in one room, at our wedding.
Then everyone stayed to walk down the aisle starting with Louise's daughter, Darcy. She walked down the aisle and pulled white rose petals out of the basket and threw them all over. Then she was up but me with a smile. I giggled and gently pushed her to were she'd sit during the ceremony. She sat down and looked back with wide eyes.
Next was my best man and Dan's maid of honor, Martin and Cornelia. They both would look around smiling, I looked over at my mom who had tears in her eyes and smiled. Cornelia went to the right where she and everyone else Dan picked would stand.
Then Pj and Chris walked down. I don't know why but they looked like they were formally messing around, if that was possible. They were smiling and whispering through their teeth. Every once and a while one of them would nod there head in a direction and then they'd both look over there. I'm guessing they were having a "secret" conversation. Then Pj walked over by Martyn and I, and Chris walked over by Cornelia.
Next was Louise and Cat. I watched as they both had bright smiles. Cat was laughing as she walked down and Louise was crying, but laughing threw it... or at least trying to. Louise walked over by my line and Cat walked over to Dans.
Once they finished Connor and Tyler were walking down, I could see they both had tears in their eyes and they were both whispering a little and laughing quietly. Connor walked over by me and Tayler went by Cat, Louise and Cornelia.
Last was Anthony and Caspar. They were just walking down with smiles on their faces and would wave "subtly" at everyone in he crowd. Caspar walked over by me and Anthony walked in Dans line.
Then everyone stood and I knew it was time, Dan was going to walk down the aisle. He walked down and he looked amazing.
His curly brown locks were poofed up and looked more curled than ever. His skin looked like the most perfect tan and his eyes were chocolate brown with golden specks, a color that was my new favorite. His nose fit on his face perfectly and his smile. His smile was beautiful, his bright white teeth were showing and his dimple was on the side of his mouth. He looked amazing in that suit too. It was the same as mine but he looked so much better. It fit his curves and went against his skin color perfectly.
His eyes were scanning the crowd until they stopped at me. The second we made eye contact we both started to tear up and out smiles got even wider. We both started giggling, we were getting married. We've been planning this wedding for years, it's crazy to think that if was actually happening.
People always say that your wedding day it is nerve-racking, being with one person for the rest of your life. To me it was soothing, I was going to be with Dan for the rest of my life. I wasn't nervous at all, I was more excited I've ever been in my life.
I was going to marry my best friend since 2009. He's the one that knows everything about me, and loves everything too. He's the one I want to wake up to every morning. He's the one who would do anything for me. He's the one who'd die so I'd live. He's the the one I'd call if I could only call one person. He's the one that makes everything fun. He's just... the one.
He walked up the steps and took my hands in his. We were both tearing up as we stared into each other's eyes. I wanted this more than anything.
"We are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Daniel Howell and Philip Lester. They have written their own vows, to which they will say now." He looked at me, I was going first, it was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop, I took a deep breath and started.
"One of my favorite stories is how we met. I think it's hilarious that you started as a fan of mine, and then we became friends... and then more than friends." Dan and everyone else laughed a little. "People have talked to me about it before and they always wonder if it's weird dating a fan of mine, though I don't really see you as just a fan. Sometimes you do have that look of a fan meeting their idol, and it makes me love you even more. Especially when one of us do videos. We made this rule a long time ago that we couldn't be in the same room as the other when making videos, otherwise we'll be to distracted and giggly." I paused looking Dan in the eyes. "But I know that when I kick you out of the room to make one, you sit outside my door listening to your favorite YouTuber make videos." A guilty smile popped on his face along with a blush. "But little do you know that I sit outside your door when you make videos, and I listen to my favorite YouTuber make his videos. Because I'm your biggest fan." I said with a smile, tearing up a little along with everyone at the wedding and Dan. "And I vow to love you and be your biggest fan forever."
The officiator smiled and then turned to Dan, it was his turn. He cleared his throat.
"Hold on, I can do this." The whole crowd, including me laughed. He wiped the tears out of his eyes and then took a breath. "Well I love our story too, but for a different reason. I, of course, love that I started out as just a fan. My favorite part of our story though is the fact that I didn't have a best friend for the first eighteen years of my life. Even though that sounds really sad." Everyone laughed quietly. "I definitely didn't think I'd fall in love either. Then you came along, and all that changed." I gave him a loving look. "I started to believe that not only would I have a best friend, but I'd be in love with my best friend. I do still have that moment of, "Oh my god, I'm marrying the AmazingPhil!" but it's not because I'm such a big fan of your YouTube self, it's because I'm a fan of you. Because you really are amazing." He and I both started to tear up. "I vow to love you as much as you love me, to make you feel just like I felt when you saved me: loved." I almost started completely crying at that.
After getting our rings, we said the traditional vows while looking each other in the eyes the whole time. Then I heard the five best words.
"You may kiss your groom."
We both leaned in and it was the most perfect kiss we've ever had. It was short and sweet but magical. It wasn't just a peck, but it wasn't making out either. It was the perfect middle. Everyone cheered and then we ran down the aisle hand in hand.
We got to the room in the back and immediately kissed and hugged. Dan's head was on my shoulder when I heard him start to cry.
"Dan are you ok? You don't regret it do you?!" I asked worriedly. He was sobbing, but shaking his head.
"I'm sorry, I'm just so happy to be married to you, the love of my life." He cried, I started to cry a little too.
"Aw, now you made me cry." I laughed wiping my tears.
"I'm sorry." He laughed and cried at the same time and wrapped his arms around me.
We sat there whispering, crying and laughing as we waited to go out to all of our friends and family.
