After Jones got back from the chief's office, Marie asked, "Well, what did King say?"

"He said he'll look into it and he'll let us know what he finds," Jones said and he soon sat at his desk.

Hours later, the two of them were still waiting to hear from the chief. Marie then said in a bored tone, "If Henry's killer intends to detonate another bomb, they're sure taking..."

Suddenly, Ramirez ran into the room and said to Jones and Marie, "You guys! We got a situation here! I just received an anonymous call about an imminent bomb attack on Main Street!"

Jones then stood up quickly and said, "I guess the saying be careful what you wish for us right. Let's go Marie!" And Marie nodded in determination and the two of them left the station quickly.

Once they got to their location, the two officers started searching around for anything that resembles a bomb. Before they got there, Jones informed Marie to act casually so they wouldn't panic anyone around them and Marie agreed to that idea. Cause if a bomb does explode, with a lot of office buildings around, it'll be more than murder; it'll be a massacre. After searching, Marie found the bomb underneath one of the cabs.

Jones saw her find it and he started to break out in a sweat after he saw that the bomb could blow any minute. It then started counting down from three and Jones grabbed Marie and the two of them soon hit the dirt waiting for the impact. But when they didn't feel anything, Jones and Marie saw that it hit an error and the two officers breathed a sigh of relief glad that they're alive. Marie then bagged the faulty bomb for Alex to analyze so he can tell them who built it. Marie then looked on a hot dog cart and found an old picture on it.

She then looked closely at it and saw it was a picture of their victim and another man. Jones saw that the text on the picture was illegible and Marie decided to use fingerprint powder to reveal the pen's tracks. After brushing the powder over the picture, Marie and Jones saw that the man standing next to Henry was named Donald and there was also a date on the picture with the year 1975 on it. Jones asks Marie where she found it and she said, "I found it on that hot dog stall."

"Well that doesn't make sense? As far as I know, Alfred the vendor has been blind since birth," Jones said curiously and he suggested that they talk to him and ask what he was doing with a picture of the victim.

Jones also suggested that they talk with Harriet Meadows since Henry had a beef with Greene Banking she may know more about it. The first person they decided to talk to was the hot dog vendor Alfred Ziegler. Jones introduced him to Marie and the two of them shook hands with each other and Jones told Marie that Alfred makes the best hot dogs in the city. Alfred smiled brightly and said, "You're going make me blush! So, what brings you back here so soon?"

"We found a picture of our latest victim on your stall Mr. Ziegler. His name was Henry Crosby, did you know him?" Marie asked the man and as soon as he heard the name Alfred's face fell.

He then said, "Did I know him? You're telling me Henry's dead?! I knew something was wrong the last time we talked; he sounded a bit agitated!"

"The picture shows him with a man named Donald. Does it also ring any bells?" Jones asked curiously and Alfred just shook his head and told them that Henry just gave him that picture and told him to hold onto it.

Alfred explained that Henry mentioned some "ghost from the war" and he left. After they thanked Alfred for his information, Jones and Marie headed towards the bank to talk to Harriet Meadows. While they were walking towards it, Marie said, "It seems like Henry acted as if he knew something was going to happen. I wonder if he gave Alfred this photo as a trail to follow and this man named Donald might've played a role in his death."

"Well we can't waste anytime guessing. There might be other bombs out there and we can't risk anymore deaths," Jones said just as they entered the bank and asked the receptionist for Harriet Meadows.

As soon as the woman was in front of them and Jones asked her if she knew Henry Crosby, she told them that she did and his soon almost smashed the bank's window with a garbage bin once. Jones then showed her the file of documents and said to her while she was reading them, "I guess Shaun didn't take the pressure you were putting on his father too well after all."

"Hey, business is tough for everyone these days! You can't just behave like that because you struggle," Harriet said to them and explained that Greene Holding's offer to the Eastfield stall owners was very generous and there are important projects regarding the area that can't be put on hold because of some stubborn people.

After Harriet excused herself, Jones and Marie headed back to the station to hear the results of the faulty bomb. Jones The said, "Ms. Meadows doesn't seem to have any feelings left. I guess that's what banking does to a person."

"Even so, attacking the bank sounds a little extreme. Do you think Shaun might've gone even farther? He did sound pretty angry," Marie said curiously and Jones suggested they check out Henry's stall since Shaun said he'd help run it and might've left a clue for them.

Marie agreed to that idea and the two of them turned around and headed back to the market place. Once they got there, Jones and Marie started searching the stall's counter until Marie found a torn letter. Marie then put it back together and the two officers saw that it was a threat note telling Henry to leave the market or it'll get blown up. Once the letter was bagged, Jones and Marie headed back to the station to give it to Alex so he can figure out who wrote it.

Soon, Alex was done analyzing the letter and he called Jones and Marie to the tech lab to tell them the results. First, he told them about the bomb and he explained that the reason the bomb didn't blow up was it was made not to blow up. Alex then said to them, "The bomber is playing with you guys. If you even tried to disarm it, let's just say you wouldn't be in much better shape than your victim." And that left Jones staring in shock and disbelief after hearing Alex say those words.

Alex then told them that the bomb was a good piece of stellar work and whoever built it knew what they were doing. Marie then made a note in her mind that the killer is also an explosives expert. Jones then began thinking that he remembered reading in Shaun Crosby's army records that he worked in the bomb squad so he matches the profile. Jones then looked at Marie and asked, "Hey Marie, do you think this could've been a tragic accident instead of a murder? Maybe Shaun's father tried to stop him?"

"We won't know for certain until we find out," Marie said to her partner and she looked to Alex and asked him about the letter.

Alex then explained that the letter had no fingerprints on it, so he compared the handwriting with Henry's and Shaun's and Alex smirked and said to them, "Let's just say, Shaun should've used newspaper clippings instead."

"So Shaun was the one who wrote it! Let's go show it to him and see if it'll make him spill the beans," Marie said as she took the letter and bagged it and soon the two officers left to talk to Shaun Crosby.

Once they got back to the market stall, Marie showed Shaun the letter and said to him, "Mr. Crosby, you do realize by writing this, you're committing an act of terrorism."

"I came back from war having to wear those blasted orthopedic shoes and I got this partial deafness from an explosion and you're telling me I'm a terrorist?! Let me tell you something sister, I fought terrorists," the man said with a red face.

Jones then told Shaun to calm down and said to him, "We've got a testimony saying you attacked Greene Banking and a letter of threats. How do you explain all of this?"

Shaun then told them that he didn't send the letter and the bank had it coming to them, but he doesn't remember doing it and that he just snapped. He then said to them that he would never hurt his own father. Jones and Marie then looked at him sadly and Marie pulled her handcuffs from her belt and said to him sadly, "I'm sorry Mr. Crosby, but we're going to have to put you under arrest until we're sure not a threat. We can't take any chances." And she turned him around and cuffed his wrists.

After they dropped Shaun off at the station, Jones and Marie headed back to the place where they found the first bomb and Jones broke out in a sweat and said, "Well Marie I'm out of ideas. There may be another bomb somewhere in the city right now and I have no clue where to look!"

Suddenly, Marie saw Ramirez running up to them and when he caught up, he asked Marie, "I was kind of wondering what kind of person you're looking for again?"

"We kind of already briefed about this Ramirez. Our suspect wears a camo outfit and orthopedic shoes," Marie told him and Ramirez pointed to a man across the street and when Jones and Marie saw him they went wide-eyed when they saw he matched a little bit of their suspect.

Jones then shouted, "Hey you! Police don't move!" And he ran across the street towards the man avoiding the cars that drove by and almost ran him over.

Marie then called out to him, "You idiot! Look both ways before running across the street!" And she thanked Ramirez and ran to catch up to him.

Once she caught up with her partner, Marie saw that the man was elderly and he smiled at them and said, "Is there a problem officers? I was just taking a walk..."

"In an area sealed off by the police department?!" Jones said in shock and Marie thought that this man looked familiar and after thinking hard enough the face came to her and she saw that the man in front of them was the same man in the picture they found; he was the Donald they were looking for.

Marie then showed the man the picture and asked him, "Sir, is your name by any chance Donald?"

"Donald Byrd to be precise young lady. Did Henry give that picture you? That's not very nice of him and we were such good friends too," Donald said with a smug smile.

Marie and Jones then looked down sadly and told him that Henry died in a bomb blast in the park. The man then chuckled heartedly and said, "Oh my, how perfectly tragic. But at least he went out with a bang right?" And Jones thought curiously, were those two really friends?

Donald then told them that he and Henry were friends a long time ago, but now it's all water under the bridge. Soon, he waved at them and walked away from the two officers. After Donald was gone, Marie said, "I bet you big money that this creep and Henry's "ghost from the war" are related. Also, Ramirez was right, Mr. Byrd is wearing orthopedic shoes."

Just as Marie said that, Ramirez ran up to Marie and said in a panicked voice, "Marie! I just heard back from the station! They got another call from the bomber!"

Jones and Marie went wide-eyed and Marie asked the flustered officer, "What did he say Ramirez?!"

Ramirez then broke out in a sweat and told her that the bomber said that the next bomb is for real and that Marie will have to find it on her own this time. Jones then said, "Damn it! We need new leads and quick! I think it's time we take that journalist up on her offer!"

Soon, the two officers left quickly and Marie called Rachel Priest and told her where to meet them. As soon as they arrived at the alley where they would meet her, Jones told Rachel to dismiss her cameraman so they can talk in private and Rachel did as Jones asked. Marie then showed her the picture and Rachel said, "So, if you guys want more info on the guy in this picture, you'll have to give more than a name."

"Well we do know that Henry Crosby was a Vietnam veteran. So if you have any contact with the military at all Ms. Priest, we'll give you a copy of Crosby's documents if you do that for us," Marie said to the reporter and Rachel smiled and told them she'll take the deal and she soon ran off in a hurry to get them their info.

Meanwhile, the two officers went back to the bomb sight and Jones said, "Let's just hope Rachel can find something useful for us. In the meantime, we must figure out our next move."

Suddenly, Marie heard her name being called and she saw Ramirez running towards her and when he caught up, Marie asked, "What's the matter now Ramirez? More bad news we should know about?"

Ramirez nodded frantically and told her that Shaun Crosby escaped from their watch and he's on the loose. Jones then shouted out in surprise, "WHAT?! That's a disaster! Now we have two lunatics running around the city freely and we have no clue on the bomb's location!"

Marie then bit her thumbnail and she thought, this is bad. Jones and I are running out time and fast.
