After they were done with Grace, Jones and Marie were back at their desks and Jones said, "This case is one big riddle and nothing adds up! But I refuse to believe that our killer is that smart. They're not smart like you Marie."

Marie then turned red after Jones made that comment and she shook it off and said, "Well, anyway the Stock Exchange Center needs to open back up for business so we should hurry up and finish our work down there."

Just as they were about to leave, Ramirez called out to Marie and said, "Corporal, I just arrested Kate Murphy for breaking into the Gecko Street Station. She's asking to speak with you."

Marie thanked Ramirez and she began thinking about whether she and Jones should go to the stock exchange first or talk to Kate first. After thinking for a little while, Marie decided to check the stock exchange first before talking to Kate. Soon, the two officers left the station and headed towards their destination. Once they got there, Marie and Jones started searching around for clues. Suddenly, Marie found two items that seem useful; one was a smartphone that could've been the victim's and the other was a torn up contract.

As soon as Marie picked up the smartphone, she began pressing the numbers on the lock screen until it she found the right numbers and it unlocked showing her the home screen. Once that was done, she bagged the phone for Alex to analyze when they got back. After the phone was done, Marie picked up the torn contract and she began to put it back together. Once it was taped, Marie and Jones saw the contract was unsigned for Samuel Rye and Alden Greene. When Jones saw Alden's name he a surprised look on his face.

Marie then looked over the contract and said, "From the look of this contract, it seems like Sam was on the cusp if signing Mr. Greene as his client."

Jones then scrunched his teeth and said, "Marie, remember when Alden met with us because of the casino. Bullshit! He just wanted to keep track of the case to protect himself!" And soon they left the stock exchange to go talk to Alden Greene about his business relations with the victim.

When Jones and Marie arrived at Alden Greene's office, Jones approached the man and showed him the contract and he said to him, "Mr. Greene, we would have appreciated you telling us you that you were planning on going into business with the late Samuel Rye."

"I apologize for not telling you, but these kind of deals need to stay secret or I could risk losing big money," Alden said to the officers.

Alden then told them that he needed a new stock trader to help manage his money and it was between Harry Krane, Samuel Rye and Jack Ryan. In the end, he chose Sam because he was by far the best. They were going to sign the contract on this day, but things didn't go according to plan with Sam. After they were done talking with Alden Greene, Marie and Jones were heading back to the station when Jones said, "Sam getting that contract, sounds like the kind of thing stock traders could kill for."

Suddenly, Marie's phone rang and when she answered it, Ramirez was on the other end and he said, "Corporal, I've got information you asked me for concerning which of your suspects use face cream. And it turns out they all do except Alden Greene."

Marie then told him good job and when she hung up, she looked towards her partner and asked, "So Jones, where does that leave use?"

As soon as they got back and headed into the station, Jones said to his partner, "We talk to Kate Murphy and see what she has to spill."

Once they entered the interrogation room, Marie looked the girl in the eyes and she asked her what she was doing at the station and she explained, "Okay I confess! I sell barbiturates to the stock traders at their parties and I was scared you would find out. So, I went back to the station to cover my tracks. It was the last time I promise! It's just that I really needed the extra money and I want to stop working for the casino. I can't stand it any longer!"

Curious, Jones asked, "Is it really that bad? What's Brooke Chase like as a boss?"

Kate then told them that she's a complete hygiene freak and she forces the workers to floss every hour and they have to use the same face cream as her. After they let Kate go, Marie mentioned to Jones that when they were talking with Kate she noticed that Kate was wearing a Sagittarius brooch on her vest. Jones then said, "Well, I think she's acting highly suspicious. Let's return to the subway station quickly and see if she left any clues."

Soon, the two officers left the police station and headed towards the subway station. When they got there, Marie noticed a notebook with a page torn out and she showed it to Jones. When he saw the notebook, Jones said, "There are still some words slightly visible on the other page. Maybe sprinkling some carbon powder will reveal what was previously written."

Marie then gave a smile and thought that it just might work and she started to get a little eager to start trying it. Once Jones got a fingerprint kit from the cat and gave it to his partner. Marie took a deep breath and tried to remember what she learned at the academy. First she took a brush and dabbed it with a little powder. Then she brushed the powder over page until words were revealed. After the words were revealed, they saw the note was a bet for $10000 at the stock exchange and it was signed by Sam and Harry.

Marie then said, "This could mean that Harry went with Sam to the stock exchange on the night of the murder!"

"And don't even tell me Harry might've killed him because of some stupid bet," Jones said with a surprised tone.

After they left the station, Jones and Marie confronted Harry and took him back to the police station. Once the three of them were in the interrogation room, Marie told him about the bet he made with their victim and he chuckled and said, "You think we would leave a party just for a meaningless bet?! You officers have no idea how stock traders work!"

Jones then rolled his eyes and thought, I'm staring to get the idea. He then asked what the bet was for and the man said it was work related. Harry then looked closely at Jones teeth and he handed him a pack of floss and said, "I'm sorry to butt in, but you've got a little seed stuck in your teeth. Use some of my floss for it."

Jones then snatched the floss packet and placed it in his pants pocket and said, "You keep up this attitude of yours Mr. Krane and you'll be stuck behind bars!"

After they left the interrogation room, Jones and Marie were sitting at their desks while Jones was looking at his mouth with a hand mirror. He then said, "I don't know how he saw it Marie. I only had a poppy seed bagel this morning and
I didn't even notice it."

"Some people have a good eye for some things Jones," Marie said while shining a harmonica.

Curious, Jones asked where the harmonica came from and Marie told him that her grandmother gave it to her and she remembered her grandma saying to her that if she plays a little tune it'll help her think. Marie then played a little riff and Jones smiled and said, "That sounds pretty good."

"Well, if Sherlock Holmes played the violin to help him think and Matlock played the banjo to help him think, I thought maybe this will help me think when we're stumped on a case," Marie said and she played a little tune and Jones leaned back thinking the music sounded quite soothing and he then thought, I wonder what else she plays.

Suddenly, Marie stopped playing and Jones sat upright when they heard their names being called telling them that Alex wanted to see them. So, they left their desks and headed towards the tech lab to hear the results from the smartphone. When Jones and Marie got there, Alex explained that the victim's smartphone they found in the stock exchange has an app on it that takes a picture anytime someone tries to hack into the phone. He then told them that the killer punched in the wrong code and got their picture taken. But the picture was taken at an odd angle, so it only got their tie.

Alex then showed them an SMS that Sam sent to Jack Ryan, that told Jack that Sam can't keep covering for him and he either wants Jack to come clean or he will cause Sam refuses to get fired because of him. Marie then said, "No wonder Jack wasn't sad after Sam's death. Well, I think Jones and I should talk to him again and give him a reason to be sad! And Jones agreed to that plan and two officers set out to get Jack Ryan.

After they brought him back and Jones shoved him in the interrogation room, he said to Jack, "Okay Jack, time's up! We know Sam was threatening to stop covering for you!"

"I had a bad day, lost a few million in trading and Sam found out and I asked him to keep it a secret until I won it back; it's no big deal," Jack said with a smug grin.

Jack then told them that he was really confused and that he and Harry Krane were supposed to be really lucky that day; like the horoscope said. Marie asked, "What star sign are you both?" And Jack told the two officers that they were a Sagittarius; like all the other powerful men in the world.

Back at their desks, Jones had his head on his desk while Marie was sitting at hers and Jones said, "Jack loses a few million in a day and he doesn't even seem to care?! What the hell is wrong with these stock traders?!"

Suddenly, Brooke Chase ran into the office and she approached Marie and said to her in an excited tone, "Thank god you're here corporal! There's something I must tell you! When I opened the casino this morning, I noticed blood dripping from the samurai and that's when I noticed the Samurai sword was now back in its place but now it's covered in blood!"

Jones then got a surprised look on his face and exclaimed, "The killer returned the murder weapon?!"

"Wow! They're definitely getting cocky enough to think they'll never get caught," Marie said and Brooke handed them the sword wrapped in a bloody cloth.

After they thanked her, Marie carefully unwrapped the sword and she soon took some hair samples off of the sword's blade and she sent them to Grace to get them analyzed. Meanwhile, two men walked into Alden Greene's office and one of them said, "We have their neck measurements like you requested Mr. Greene." And he handed the man a paper and Alden gave a big and thanked them for their help.

Alden then said to himself, "I paid big money for those two. I hope they're worth it." And he looked at his computer screen looking at the pictures of both Marie and Jones.

Back at the station, Grace was finished analyzing the hair sample and she called Marie and Jones to the forensics lab to tell them the results. She then explained to them that the hair that was found on the sword belongs to the killer and after she calculated the damage and decomposition of the hair's follicles to determine the age, she came to the conclusion that the killer is 30 years old.

After they thanked Grace, Marie gathered the files of the suspects from the archives and she started to look through them to find the killer. She first excluded Alden Greene cause he doesn't have any of the killer's attributes. She also excluded Brooke Chase cause even though she uses floss and face cream, she's over 30, she's not a Sagittarius and she wasn't wearing a tie. Marie then excluded Jack Ryan cause even though he is 30, he uses face cream, he's a Sagittarius and he's wearing a tie, he doesn't use floss. Marie then excluded Kate Murphy cause even though she uses floss and face cream, she's a Sagittarius and she wear a tie, she's a couple years younger than 30.

Soon, Marie looked through Harry Krane's file and she saw he matched all the attributes; he's 30 years old, he uses floss and face cream, he's a Sagittarius and he wears a toe. Marie then smirked and thought, I gotcha! Soon, she showed Jones and the two of them left to arrest Harry Krane. Once they confronted him in the interrogation room, Marie said to him, "Harry Krane, you're under arrest for the murder of Samuel Rye!"

"What a surprise doll face! You're actually not as dumb as you look," Harry said while rolling his eyes and Jones looked down disgusted and thought, traders, they're ever so charming; they think they can get away with anything, don't they?

Marie then repeated the last thing Jones said and said to the man, "You're lot thinks you can away with anything, don't you?"

Harry then put on a smug face and told them, "Because we are smarter than the rest, but I guess even we make mistakes. Like Sam did when he bragged about his desk with Alden Greene. So I got Sam high and took him for one last night out; to celebrate."

"What I don't get is how come no one saw you at the casino?" Jones asked curiously.

Harry then smiled brightly and explained that they all saw his face, he just gave them the wrong name; Jack Ryan. Cause he knew the actual Jack would be too drunk to remember what he did that night. Jones looked down sadly while Marie cuffed Harry and he thought, I'll never get how some people can talk about committing such gruesome crimes with smiles on their faces. The following day, Judge Hall announced to Harry Krane that the court sentences him to life imprisonment with no chance of parole.

Harry then put a smug look on his face and said, "It's a shame you're arresting me so soon cause I had something beautiful planned for Alden Greene."

Jones then made a disgusted face at Harry and he said to the man, "I don't think your sense of "beautiful" is the same as ours."

After the trial, Jones thought, this case was intense! And if this is a taste of what's come, I hope I'll be able to take it! Still, I doubt everybody in this district is a raging psychopath, right? On the other hand, with Marie by my side it won't be long before they're all behind bars. Soon, they were back at the station and when they entered the office Ramirez congratulated Marie on another solved case.

He then told her that Brooke Chase, Kate Murphy and Jack Ryan wanted to see after they witnessed her detective skills. Jones then thought, she sure is becoming quite popular around here. The first person Jones and Marie decided to help first was Jack Ryan and when they confronted him in one of the interrogation rooms, he said, "There you are corporal, something awful has happened! I list my club card!"

"Why can't you just buy another one?" Marie asked and Jack told her he could but he can't cause it's an extremely rare gold-plated edition.

Jones then said to him, "You know I'm curious? When it comes to murder, you're cool as a cucumber but when it comes to a stupid card then you freak out?!" And Jack explained that he heard Marie is the best at what she does and he's willing to pay accordingly.

Marie then shook her head in dismay and said to the man, "Mr. Ryan, it's not about the money for me; it's about the challenge! But, we'll search the stock exchange for your club card." And soon the two officers left the room and headed towards the stock exchange to search for the missing club card.

Once they got there, Marie and Jones started looking and asking around for the card, but no one has seen it. Suddenly, Marie found it in a wastebasket but it was all torn up and when Jones saw it he thought, good Jack deserves it. Marie then took some tape and she started to put the card back to together. Soon, the card was put back together and when Jones looked it over, he saw that there was no name on it and he scoffed in his mind and thought, what genius made these?! I just want us to forget about it! Marie then snatched it away and she reminded him that she can look for the missing numbers back at the station.

After they returned, Marie sat and her desk and scanned the card until it showed up on her computer. Once it on there, Marie started searching for the hidden numbers until she found the right ones and she sent them to Alex to get analyzed so she and Jones will know if the card belongs to Jack or not. Soon, Alex was done analyzing and when he called Jones and Marie to the tech lab he told them that the card does belong to Jack Ryan and that people are prepared pay millions for a membership.

Jones rolled his eyes in disgust and he thought, paying a million dollars to just to be a part of some club?! Jack could do with a wake-up call. Once they thanked Alex, the two officers headed back towards the interrogation room to give Jack his card back. Once they were inside, Jones said, "Challenge completed Mr. Ryan! Though, how you could spend so much money on a card is beyond me."

"Whatever, you obviously don't appreciate expensive things," Jack said with a smile and he pushed a few bills towards Jones and told him to treat themselves to something nice.

Just as Jack grabbed his coat and was about to leave, he stopped and looked at Marie and said to her, "By the way Ms. Holmes, if you're ever free I would love to treat you to dinner."

Marie smiled at the man and told him, "I'll keep that in mind." And Jack waved and told her it's date and soon he was gone.

After they were done with Jack, Marie and Jones were on their way to their desks to help Kate Murphy. Marie looked over to Jones and she said with a smug grin, "Admit it! Not all stock traders are soulless if they ask somebody to dinner like that."

"I don't care, I just don't like people who come up to you like that; it makes me worry," Jones said in a concerned tone and Marie thought every person I meet and become friends with makes him worry.

As soon as they arrived back at their office, Kate ran up to Marie and said in a panicked voice, "Corporal Marie, I don't who else to turn to; I'm in such deep trouble!"

Marie asked Kate what the problem is and she told her she lost the key to the casino and if Mrs. Chase found out she'll be as good as dead. Jones smiled kindly at the girl and he told her in a calm voice, "Don't worry Kate, we'll help you find it. Now do you have any idea where you might've lost it?"

"I'm pretty sure I lost the key on the platforms of Gecko Street Station," Kate said to them and soon the two officers left the station and headed towards the subway station to look for the missing key.

Once they arrived, Jones and Marie started looking around for the casino key. Marie then began searching through a garbage bag until she found a key. But as she looked it over, Marie began to wonder if it's Kate's key and when she showed it to Jones he said to her, "We have a database of all casino keys. So, we compare this key to them we'll be able to determine if it really came from the casino Kate works at."

After they left the subway station and returned to the police station, Marie placed the key on the scanner and scanned it until it showed up on her computer and she began to compare it to other keys. After searching, Marie found a match to the key that Kate lost. Soon, the two officers were in front of her and Marie told her, "Here's your key Kate."

Kate got a surprised look on her face and she thanked Marie for her help. Jones smiled at the girl and said, "It was our pleasure Kate. Now you take care of yourself, you hear?" And gave a big grin and told them she will and soon she was gone.

After they were done with Kate, Jones and Marie went to help Brooke Chase and see what she wants. Once they arrived at the casino, Marie went up to the woman and asked her, "How are things going for you Ms. Chase?"

"Well, because the killer stole the samurai sword I checked to see if anything else was missing. And that's when I noticed Samuel's blood on the samurai," Brooked explained to the two officers.

Jones then got confused and said, "But that's impossible. Sam wasn't even killed here."

Brooke told them that she wants it to be true and she asked them if they could check if it's actually blood from the victim. Marie told her that they'll get right on it. Once they approached the samurai suit, the two officers saw that there were specks of blood on the samurai's helmet. Soon, Marie took out a cotton swab and collected some of the blood off of the helmet. She then bagged it and the two of them left the casino to give the sample to Grace so she can analyze it.

After a while Grace was done analyzing the blood sample and she called Jones and Marie to the forensics lab to tell them the results. When they were in front of her, Grace told them that the blood they took from the samurai wasn't the victim's and Jones got shocked and he thought, don't tell me it's another murder we have to investigate?! Grace then giggled at the the look on Jones' face and she said, "Relax David, cause I don't even think Marie can solve this murder. Cause it happened 500 years ago when the samurai died."

"Sweet Shinsengumi," Marie whispered out when she heard how long ago it was and Jones calmed down and soon they left to tell Brooke the news about the samurai.

After they arrived at the casino, Jones and Marie approached Brooke and Jones told her, "Ms. Chase there was blood on the samurai, but it actually belonged to the samurai who died hundreds of years ago."

The woman's face looked surprised when she heard him say samurai, but she thought he said Samuel Rye, but Marie told her to calm down and corrected what she said. Brooke then breathed a sigh of relief and thanked them for their help. She then took the samurai helmet off the samurai and gave it to Marie and told her, "As a token of my gratitude and you're welcome at my casino anytime."

As they were walking out of the casino, with Jones holding the samurai helmet, he looked to Marie and said, "Let's hope our next case won't be so gruesome, but I highly doubt it."

"Well, something tells me that while the people here are richer than the ones in the Industrial Area, their killers are just as twisted if not more," Marie said while thinking deeply and Jones added in until their next case they should just relax a little and get some hot dogs and Marie thought that hot dogs sounded good.

Soon, they headed towards the park so Jones can introduce Marie to a hot dog vendor he knows. But little do Jones and Marie know that at the park is a case that will have a big outlook on Marie and Jones will also know a little bit more of Marie's past.
