As they were sitting at their desks, Jones picked his head up, looked at his partner and said, "Corporal, this case is so mind-boggling and everyone we've talked to all had a motive for wanting Salvador dead. Well, everyone except Marconi. I'm telling you that guy is hiding something from us and we could go and find out if he hadn't put that stupid restraining order on me!"

Suddenly, Jones got a thought in his head and he said to Marie that since the order was on him, she and Ramirez can go to Marconi's club and talk to him. As if he was listening in on their conversation, Ramirez thought, they're letting me in on their investigation?! Wow! Jones then winked at him and said, "I'm sure you'll do a good job Ramirez. Just don't act too nervous. And Marie, when you get the chance meet me in the sewers; there's something I'd like to check." And after she agreed to Jones' plan the three of them went their separate ways with Jones heading to the sewers and Ramirez and Marie heading to the Blue Flamingo.

Once Ramirez and Marie got to the club, Marconi saw the two of them enter and he got a shocked look on his face and thought, you've got to be kidding me?! Do I have to restrain the whole police department?! Ramirez then broke out into a sweat and he said to the gangster, "We only want to ask you a few questions Mr. Linguini."

Getting furious, Marconi shouted, "It's Marconi you idiot! And why don't you go and talk to someone else like that oversized buffoon Ash Bison? Rumor has it he just became the gang leader for The Vipers!"

Ramirez then thanked Marconi for the lead and mistakenly called him Mr. Tortellini, but Marconi got so fed up with Ramirez flubbing his name that the gangster spat out his gum. Marconi then stomped away in a huff towards his office and once the door was slammed, Ramirez then gave Marie a small smile and said to her, "I bet you noticed that Marconi had a big oil stain on his clothes? It kept distracting me."

"And knowing that Ash became the new leader is information I should follow up on. Plus, since we're here, let's check the club out for any clues that me and Jones missed," Marie said with a little confidence.

Ramirez then backed away and told her that she would do the searching and she just shrugged and got to it. While Marie was looking for clues, Ramirez broke out into a sweat thinking he shouldn't talk to Marconi anymore cause he makes him nervous. After looking around, Marie found an asthma inhaler and she bagged it hoping she can lift off a couple fingerprints off of it. Before they could return to the station, Ramirez dropped Marie off in the alley where Ash was and when she approached him, he smirked and said, "Well hello there little lady. Where's your thick-headed partner?"

"He's not with me at the moment, but I would like to speak with you Ash. Rumor has it that you became the new leader of The Vipers," Marie said to the new gang leader.

Ash then smirked and said, "Wow travels fast and to answer your question, yes I'm the new head of the gang. Am I happy about it? You can say that, I just hope whoever killed Salvador would get a big thank you card from me. However, I know I'm no idiot and I know Marconi will always be the true boss of this district. Those who do forget, they die."

Marie then turned and was about to leave when she asked Ash about the big oil stain he has on his jacket and he told her he spends most of his time in the Vipers' Pit and of course he's going to get stained. Back at the station, Ramirez watched as Marie pulled a fingerprint off the inhaler and he thought, she's really good at that. I'm glad I get to watch her work. Soon, she sent the print to Alex to get it analyzed and after that was done, Ramirez drove her to the sewers where Jones was waiting.

Once she donned on a pair of boots and climbed down, she joined up with Jones and the two of them got to work. After looking around for a while, Jones in the water and Marie on the land, Marie found an old knife and she thought, this could be important and she bagged it so she can decipher the serial number once she got back to the station. Once they got back, Jones headed towards the showers to get cleaned up while Marie placed the knife on the scanner and scanned it until it showed up on her computer.

After Jones got back all fresh and clean, Marie finished decoding the number and turned it in to Alex to get it analyzed so she can find out who the knife's owner is. Soon, the knife and fingerprint were done being analyzed and Alex called Marie to the tech lab to tell her the results. First, Alex explained to her that he ran the fingerprint through the database and he also cross-examined it and isolated it's patterns and he soon found out that the print belonged to Tony Marconi.

Hearing this news, Marie got shocked when she now knew that Marconi has asthma. She then asked, "What about the knife Alex? What did you get from that?"

"The knife belongs to a certain Samuel Bennett. As it was military issued, it was easy enough to trace. However, the only thing I managed to find on Samuel Bennett was old military photo; I'm sorry I couldn't find out more," Alex explained and then he looked down in disappointment.

Marie then looked down at the picture and she began to wonder where she saw this man recently. Alex then told her that Samuel Bennett disappeared from the system a long time ago; like he completely vanished. Suddenly, it hit Marie like a brick and she thanked Alex and she took the photo to show Jones. Once she was near her partner and explained everything that Alex explained to her, Jones looked at the photo and he soon realized who the man in the photo reminds him of. The face in the photo may have changed a lot since the photo was taken but the smile remains the same; the man in the photo is One-Tooth Sam.

Jones then began to panic and he said, "Marie, this isn't good! I don't think Sam just happened to lose his knife. More likely, he wanted it to be lost for good!"

Marie then hugged Jones from behind to calm him down and when he did, he began to sweat and she said to him, "Sam may be acting like a guilty man, but I suggest we talk to him and hope he has a perfectly innocent explanation for all of this." And Jones took Marie's hand and squeezed it and told her he agrees.

Once they got to the homeless camp and showed Sam the knife, Marie asked him if it was his and he said to the two officers, "Yes, it's my knife but you got to understand, already the Vipers make our lives a living hell! Then Salvador himself comes by and terrorizes one of the girls here at the camp. I had to do something, I'm an old man and my asthma's getting worse so I thought even if I got caught it wouldn't matter. All I knew is that Salvador had to die! But when I got to the Vipers' Pit, I chickened out when I saw him and no matter how much I hated him I just couldn't bring myself to kill a man.

"Truth is, I'm just a weak, pathetic old man and I couldn't do anything right in my life." And soon tears began to swell up in Sam's eyes and he started to cry a little.

Seeing the poor man cry made Marie's heart tighten. She then went over to Sam and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder and said, "You're not weak Sam; you're actually the pillar of your community. These people in the camp depend on you!"

Jones was soon right next to her and added in, "And besides, it's our job to take of monsters like Salvador." And Sam wiped his eyes and thanked them for their comfort.

Soon, they were heading back to the station and Jones looked down sadly while driving and he said, "Poor Sam and I thought I knew him well, but there are a lot of elements that incriminate him."

"I just hope he's telling the truth; I would hate to see such a kind-hearted person such as Sam locked up for trying to save his community," Marie put in.

Once they got back to the station they were in the office when Jones began to panic. When Marie asked him what the problem is this time, he said to her, "I just can't believe this Marie, but this might be our first unsolved case! It looks like it's going to be back to car patrolling for me!"

Suddenly, Sam showed up in their office and came over to them. He then said, "I've been looking all over for you two! There's something I gave to tell you! You see, me and the boys, we often go looking around the garbage cans for things we can use. Well, while we were looking inside one of them, we found what looked like blood-stained glass. Now, normally we wouldn't pay it no mind, but as it was near the Vipers' Pit, I thought it might be best to bring this information to you."

Sam then handed them a plastic bag filled with bloodied, broken glass and the two officers both looked at each other and thought the same thing. Once they thanked Sam, Marie soon put on a pair of gloves and started to reassemble the broken glass hoping this one clue will be the last piece to their puzzle. Afterwards, she was done assembling the glass pieces it looked like the neck of a glass bottle and she saw it was covered in blood. Soon, he sent it to the lab and told a Grace to have it analyzed as soon as possible.

After a while, Grace was done analyzing the bottle and she called Jones and Marie to the lab to tell them the results. Grace then explained to them that the glass from the bottle matched the glass shards found in Salvador's skull. Also, the blood that was on the bottle also matches the victim's blood. It was then that Jones and Marie knew they found their murder weapon. Grace then told them that there was also a different type of blood that didn't match their victim but their killer and she told them that the killer's blood type is AB positive.

As soon as they got all the attributes they needed, Jones collected the suspects' files and looked over to Marie and said, "It looks like we're finally ready to catch our killer Marie. But we can't afford to be wrong about this, so be extra careful." And Marie nodded in determination showing him she won't be wrong and she started flipping through each of the suspects' files.

As Marie looked through the files, she excluded Troy Cassidy cause even though he has asthma, he chews gum, he has an oil stain and his blood is AB positive, he doesn't use hand sanitizer. Marie then excluded Ash Bison cause he also has asthma, he has an oil stain, he chews gum and his blood is AB positive, he doesn't use hand sanitizer. She then excluded Sam from the killer list cause even though he has asthma, he chews gum and he has an oil stain, he has AB negative blood and he doesn't use hand sanitizer.

Marie then held her breath when she looked through Ginger's file, but then she let it out when she saw that Ginger does use hand sanitizer, she does chew gum, she does have an oil stain and she does have asthma, her blood is A negative not AB positive. Soon, Ginger was excluded and that left only one man. When Marie looked through Marconi's file she could almost do a backflip off the wall when she saw that he matched everything; he has asthma, he chews gum, he uses hand sanitizer, he has an oil stain and his blood is AB positive.

Marie then closed the file and slammed it down which made Jones jump up in surprise. He then gave a small smirk at her and said, "Since I'm "restrained" from seeing Marconi, do you want to take Ramirez and make the arrest?"

Marie then looked at him with a burning fire in her eyes and she said, "Do you have to ask Davey boy? Cause I only have one answer to that. HELL YES!!!!" And as she shouted that Jones thought happily, that's my girl.

Soon, Marie took Ramirez and she burst into the Blue Flamingo and approached Marconi and announced to him, "You're busted Tony! You're under arrest for the murder of Salvador Cordero!"

Marconi then smirked and said, "You may have found me, but let's see you can catch me!" And soon, he pushed Marie aside and ran out of the club in a mad dash.

As soon as he did that, Marie stared chasing after him while Ramirez followed behind at a turtle's pace. Suddenly, they reached an alleyway and Marconi climbed over a chain link fence and dropped to the other side and Marie followed in suit. Once she was on the other side, she told Ramirez to go back to the club and get the car and she'll meet with him once she catches him and Ramirez saluted saying he'll do that. Marie then began running and as she was catching up to the gangster, she saw he was starting to slow down and she heard he started to breathe heavily.

Marie then smirked and thought, that's one quirk to having asthma you asshole; you always have to take your medicine. Soon, Marconi collapsed outside the alley on the sidewalk and he felt Marie put his hands behind his back as she cuffed him and forced him to stand up. Soon, the car showed up and Ramirez exited it along with Jones and the gangster looked at the three officers and he said, "I was wondering whether you would manage to get me for this. I guess I made it too easy for you."

"To tell you the truth Tony, I was thinking the same thing. How can a man like you who's been so careful so far can suddenly make one lousy mistake," Jones said curiously.

Marconi then explained that it was Salvador who made the mistake not him. He was going to pay him a visit to remind him who the true boss is around the district, but when he got there he caught Salvador hurting Ginger and he was also trying to have his way with her. Marie then tightened her hold on him and said in anger, "And forcing yourself on me was no different?!"

Marconi then turned his head to Marie and said to her, "Believe me when I say this sweetheart, I did fall for you too when I first saw you and I got all excited when I was looking at your picture. But then that e-mail came and I..."

Jones then grabbed his shirt collar and shouted, "What e-mail you asshole?!"

Marconi then shook his head and said it was an anonymous e-mail and he didn't know who sent it. All he knew is that whoever sent that e-mail sold him Marie for a lot of money and he had to pay it. Jones then let go of him and he then got back on subject with the case when he heard that Marconi killed Cordero to protect Ginger. Marconi then looked down sadly and said, "Like my father always told me, you don't hit women. You just don't."

Marie then sighed sadly and said to the cuffed gangster, "I'm glad you were there for a friend Tony, but you didn't have to kill him. Offenders like Cordero belong behind bars, not six feet underground."

Marconi then looked at Jones and said to him, "You know Jones, you and I are a lot alike. We both do what it takes to protect our community and the person we love deeply."

Jone then looked at him sternly and said, "You've got one thing wrong there Marconi. I would go to hell and back to protect the one person I love the most. But, you think you're above the law and I'm here to remind you that he law is above EVERYBODY!" And they placed him in the car and drove off.

The following day, Judge Hall looked at Marconi and asked if he has anything to add in his defense and he stated that putting him behind bars fir what he did would be the real crime. Shocked at what he said, the judge stated, "You do realize you killed a man Mr. Marconi! A human being!"

Marconi then clenched his teeth and said, "I'm sorry, but by assaulting Ginger, Salvador lost his right to be called a human. Which in my book also means giving up the right to live!"

The judge then told him that in her book, the rules are simple; a life is a life. And Salvador's life was not his to give or take. Marconi then just shrugged and gave her look that said let's agree to disagree. Judge Hall then saw that Marconi is deluded and a menace to society and she sentenced him 20 to life in prison. Soon, the bailiffs lead Tony away and as they were doing that, Ginger stood up and cried, "I'll never forget what you did for me Tony!"

Marconi then stopped in the doorway, walked over to Ginger with a small smile and said, "Don't worry about it doll face. With the lawyers I have, I'll be out before you can even blink." And he kissed her deeply before the bailiffs pried him away and soon he was gone.

After the trial was over, Jones and Marie stepped out like a pair of happy clams knowing that their troubles with Marconi are over. Jones then began thinking in annoyance that they only caught him for this crime, but not for his other countless dirty crimes. Suddenly, Ramirez ran up to Marie and said, "Corporal, the chief wants to see you in his office immediately!"

As soon as they got back to the station, Jones and Marie headed towards King's office and once they entered, King greeted Marie with a big smile and when she looked next to him she saw that he was next to someone she'd never seen before. The man next to the chief looked important cause he was wearing a spiffed up suit and he had an aura around him that showed he was. He then held out his hand to her and introduced himself as Howard Johnson the mayor of Grimsborough.

Once she shook his hand, the mayor said to her with a smile, "It's an absolute honor to finally meet you Ms. Holmes. I've heard so many excellent things about you! The citizens of this town are lucky to have you around! Lord knows that they all need you. Keep up the good work, Officer."

Marie smiled brightly and said, "Thank you so much Mr. Mayor! It's an honor to meet you too and to hear your praise!"

King then clapped his hand on her shoulder and said with a big grin, "It must feel good being congratulated by the mayor himself doesn't it?! I've got to say Marie, I'm extremely proud of you and what you've done and been through in these last few months. Even if you were my own granddaughter, I would always be proud."

Marie then smiled to the chief and thanked him as well for his praise. He then told her that as long as there are criminals in Grimsborough, they'll always have a need for people like Marie. She then looked to the chief, The to the mayor and then to Jones who gave her a big thumbs up and then her eyes began to well up in joyous tears and she thanked them all.

Soon, the chief sat back down at his desk with the mayor at his side and he said to the female officer, "Marie, you've proven more then proven yourself and you've climbed the ranks quickly to be one of our best elements. There are a few things I'd like you to do and if you complete them, you're going to be in for a big reward." And Marie nodded her head and told him that she's ready.

King then told her that Ginger has phoned for her and she's waiting at the Blue Flamingo. He also wanted her to go and check on Sam and thank him for his help in putting Marconi behind bars. Jones then said brightly that they all sound good and he looked to Marie and asked her if she's ready to hit the streets again and she looked at him like he gave a trick question. As they were leaving, Marie was approached by Ramirez and he told her that Troy Cassidy called requesting for her help and she agreed to do that.

Jones then crossed his eyes and said in a smug tone, "As if we'd help that thug." And Marie grabbed her partner's ear and gave it a hard yank and after he yelled for her to let go and that they'll help Troy she did leaving the top of Jones' ear all red.

The first person Jones and Marie decided to help was Sam. While they were heading towards the homeless camp, Jones said, "I just can't heft what Marconi said off of my mind."

Marie then asked him what he was thinking about and he told her he got curious about the anonymous e-mail Marconi got and he was wondering who would be dumb enough to sell a police officer like that. Marie then said to him, "Me too. I mean human trafficking is illegal." And Jones then gripped the steering wheel hard and thought, when I found out who did I'm going to kick their fucking ass from here to Mars.

Soon, they arrived at the homeless camp and they were soon greeted by Sam. Once he was in front of them, Sam said took Marie's hands in his and said, "I've been wanting to thank you Ms. Holmes. You've made me realize that it's time to dig my last back up."

He then let go of her hands and explained that when he decided to give up his identity, he hid the last of his treasure in a metal box in the sewer. But it was so long ago, he couldn't even remember where he put it. Marie then smiled and winked at Sam and told him, "Don't worry about a thing Sam, we'll find it for you. We owe you that much anyway." And soon the two officers headed towards the sewers.

Once they got there, Marie put on her boots while Jones put on his wetsuit and went underground to look for Sam's box. After they got underground, Marie looked on the dry land and Jones looked in the water until Marie saw a box floating in it and she told Jone, who also saw it. Soon, Jones was back on land and in his uniform and he looked the box over and thought that it didn't look exactly like a treasure box but it does look old. Soon, Jones winked at Marie and said to her, "I've got a little challenge for you partner. Do you think you can pick this lock before I finish reciting the alphabet?" And Marie smiled at him and told him he was on and soon she started fiddling with the lock while Jones started saying alphabet letters.

(AN: You guys can try that too. Take an old combo lock and then have a friend by you recite the alphabet while you try and solve it. Make it a game if you must and have fun doing it😉 Or make a video and send it to YouTube for people to see and see if others will take the challenge😉Give it a try😉)

Soon, she got the box open and Jones was surprised she did before he could even get to F and Marie rolled her eyes knowing he was just stalling. Marie then dumped out the box's contents and started to sift through them looking for Sam's so called "treasures." After searching, Marie pulled out a necklace with a stunning heart-shaped jewel and once she saw it Marie thought that this jewel can't be real otherwise it wouldn't even make sense for a homeless man to keep it for so long and not sell it.

Jones then got curious and said, "I think Sam has finally gone cuckoo. Well, the only way to find out is to take it to Grace and see if this jewel is genuine or not." And Marie highly agreed to that idea and soon she bagged it and the two officers set off for the station.

As soon as they got back, Jones and Marie gave the jewel to Grace to get it analyzed. Once they dropped off the jewel, the two officers decided to go and see Ginger and see what she wants. Once they were in front of her, Marie asked her, "What seems to be the trouble Ginger?"

"Well, I knew it was too good to be true, but before he sent to prison, Tony appointed me as the new manager of the Blue Flamingo. And I had the legal document to prove and everything, but Curtis Newman snatched it away and called me a liar," Ginger said to them.

She then told them that Biff is holding him in custody in the back of the club, but they can't get him to give the document back. Jones then said to her, "Let us handle this Ginger! We'll give Curtis thorough talking to and get your document back in no time." And Ginger smiled brightly knowing that Marie will always help and she couldn't imagine what she would do without her and Jones saw the look on Ginger's face and smiled thought, she has the same thought as me; Marie is like a guardian angel.

Soon, Jones and Marie were in the back and Marie said sternly, "Alright Curtis give Ginger her document back!"

"The document is obviously a fake! Maybe the others will believe her lies, but I'm not going to let this club be taken over by a whore," Curtis said angrily.

Jones then furrowed his eyes at the man and told him that he'd better watch his mouth. Jones then said, "Just give us the document and we'll get it authenticated in no time."

Curtis then got a surprised look on his face and he thought, I can't believe they're defending that fucking liar. He then told them that he hasn't touched the document, but Biff told them that he was lying and he saw Curtis enter the club with a briefcase and he thinks Ginger's document is in it. Jones and Marie thanked Biff for the tip and they started to search the club for the briefcase. Soon, they found the briefcase and Marie then dumped out the contents and she started to search through them until she found the document they were looking for.

They soon left the club and headed straight for the station to give the document to Alex so he can verify Marconi's signature. After they dropped off the document, Grace called them to the forensics lab to tell the, the results of the jewel. After they were in front of her, Grace told them that the jewel they brought her will make Sam one of the richest men in Grimsborough. Surprised when he heard the outcome, Jones thought, Sam's a millionaire?! Talk about going from rags to riches! He then got curious and he asked, "But I don't get it? Why didn't he sell this jewel earlier?"

"Why don't we ask him ourselves," Marie said and Jones agreed to that idea.

After they thanked Grace and exited the forensics lab, Alex called them to the tech lab to tell them the results of the document. Once they were in front of Alex, he told them that the signature on the document is Marconi's which makes it legit. Jones then smiled brightly and thanked Alex for the info and as they were heading out to tell Ginger the good news, Jones got all giddy in his mind thinking about how he'll shove the truth right in Curtis's face. The first thing Jones and Marie did when they left the station was go to Cooperville to talk to Sam.

After they arrived at the homeless camp, Marie showed Sam the jewel and asked him where he got it. The old man looked down sadly and explained that he bought it for his wife a long time ago and when she got sick, no money in the world could save her life. When she died, the sight of money suddenly made him sick so he got rid of it all and the jewel was the only thing he couldn't bring himself to throw away. Sam then told them that when he started out homeless, he didn't care about money and he was happy that way. But now he has a community to help out.

Sam then smiled brightly and took the jewel from Marie and said, "I'm going to spend every last cent on Cooperville and this district and I'm going to try and bring it back to its former glory. It's what my wife would've wanted. Even if money failed me, I know it can save others!" And Sam then picked Marie up in a big bear hug and thanked her for helping him realize that and she smiled knowing she changed another one in this district.

After they were done with Sam, Jones and Marie headed towards the Blue Flamingo to give Ginger her document. Once they got there, Jones approached the woman with a smile and said, "Ginger, I'd like to congratulate you on your latest position as the Blue Flamingo's newest manager!"

Marie then showed Ginger the document and her eyes went wide like saucers when she saw it. Ginger then hugged Marie and thanked her for finding it. She then pulled away and said, "I still can't believe things are turning out so well for me! Well, it looks we're all moving on in the world, but I'll be sure to miss you guys. Who knows, I might be tempted to get in trouble just to see you again."

Marie then gave Ginger a small smile and said to her, "You deserve all of this Ginger, I'm sure you'll do a great job. And don't worry about Curtis, we'll make sure he never bothers you again."

As soon as they said their goodbyes to Ginger, Jones and Marie left the club for the last time hoping they'll return someday to visit an old friend. The last person the went to was Troy Cassidy and Marie got curious and wondered what he wanted. Once they got to the lot where he was waiting, Troy approached Jones and Marie and said to the female officer, "I was pretty impressed by how you solved Salvador's death little lady; you always seem to find what you're looking for. So, I thought that maybe you could help me out."

"What seems to be the problem Mr. Cassidy?" Marie asked and Troy explained that some time ago someone stole a blueprint of his and he was pretty sure it was on of the Vipers; he looked all around for it, but he didn't find it.

Marie was about to say that they'll take the job when Jones intervened and said, "And why should we even help you Troy? It's not like you ever helped us."

Troy then puffed out his chest with pride and said to him, "That blueprint was my ticket to a better life. If you help me find it, I'll quit gang life and become a full-time inventor. I'll never trouble you for anything again!"

Jones then told him that they'll do it with a smirk and the two of them headed towards the Vipers' Pit to find Troy's missing blueprint. When they got there, Jones and Marie started searching for the blueprint. After looking around for a few minutes, Marie found it, but she saw that the Vipers tore it up for the heck of it. Soon, she laid the pieces out and the she started to tape them back together.

Once the blueprint was put back together, Jones and Marie saw it was actually a blueprint for a new kind of motorbike. Jones then thought, if Troy lied to us, it would make us his accomplices in theft. Jones then suggested to Marie that they take it back to the station and collect a fingerprint to see if this print is really Troy's and Marie nodded in agreement hoping that they don't end on the wrong side of the law. Soon, Marie collected a print off the blueprint (AN: LOL😂) and the two officers headed back to the station to give it to Alex to be analyzed.

Soon, they dropped off the fingerprint with Alex and he told them he'll have to results in no time. After a while, Alex was finished analyzing and he called the two officers back to the tech lab. Once they were there, he told Jones and Marie that the fingerprints on the blueprint were Troy Cassidy's and he then complimented that the bike on the blueprint is cool looking and he digs it. Jones then stood there dumbfounded after hearing what Alex said and he thought, who New that Troy was a genius. Soon, they thanked Alex and they left the station to give Troy his blueprint.

After they got back to the lot where Troy was, Marie approached him and gave him back the blueprint he was looking for. Troy then smiled brightly and said, "Thanks a lot man, fame now awaits me. I'm telling you this is going to revolutionize the world of motorbiking!"

Jones then came over and wished him the best of luck and he then asked him, "You do remember what you promised right?" And Troy nodded remembering what he said about cashing in his second chance at life and quitting the life of a gangster.

Troy then said, "You're going to be lucky, The Vipers will be quiet now that Ash is in control. He's less stupid than Salvador and less destructive too." And Troy gave Marie a fist bumped and then he gave her a biker helmet he designed himself.

She looked at the black helmet covered in flames and she thanked Troy. As soon as the two officers were leaving the lot, they were approached by Ash, Big Baby and a few other members of The Vipers and when Ash stepped forward he looked at Marie and said, "I know we haven't met much during you're time here Ms. Holmes, but me and some of the boys decided that if you need our assistance at all we'll be there for you. Now we don't care much for the police department, but we do care for the one person who changed a lot of people in this district. So, from here on out, The Vipers are on your side Marie Holmes!" And soon The Vipers all chanted and raised their fists and Marie got tears of joy in her eyes and thanked them in her mind.

Back at the station, Jones and Marie headed towards the chief's office and when they got there King said to them, "With Salvador and Marconi out of the picture, this district finally has a chance of picking itself up. You and your partner did a remarkable job in cleaning up this area Marie. Which is why I'm promoting you both to the Financial Center!" And Marie smiled in amazement and shook the chief's hand thanking him.

As she was about to turn and leave, King stopped her and said that there was someone else who would like to congratulate her personally and Marie looked and her eyes went wide when she saw who it was. Even though he lost the beard and the oily clothes and he had his gray hair slicked back and he's now wearing a suit, Marie and Jones noticed it was One-Tooth Sam. Sam then gave them a smile and said to Marie, "You've given hope to a lot of people here Ms. Holmes and I'm sure you'll do the same in the next district."

Jones' face looked surprised when he saw Sam looking like a whole different person. Sam then showed them his one tooth and told them he feels like a different person and he wished Marie luck and told them to keep in touch. After all the excitement, Marie went up to the station's roof, let her hair loose and she went over to the railing to feel the wind blowing on her. She then began thinking that about the next district she'll explore and what mysteries are waiting for her.

Suddenly, she felt something cold on her neck and she saw Jones standing behind her holding two sodas. Once she received an orange soda from him and opened it, the two officers stood by each other and looked out at the city's nightlife. Jones then took a swig from his soda and said to her, "Do you remember the dockyard case we were on? I found out from Grace and Nathan that the car that was chasing us belonged to Marconi as well as the gun that shot me in the arm. And the man who chased us was one of Marconi's henchmen and he shot him after he failed his job."

"I'm just glad there's some closure for this district. It was a real roller coaster when I got here, but now I'm ready for more adventures no matter how scary they might be," Marie said.

Jones then looked at his partner with soft eyes and watched as the wind blew in her hair that looked wavy after it was taken down. Soon, he felt the urge coming to him and he leaned forward and kissed Marie on the cheek which made her stand up straight like a plank. She then placed her hand on the spot where he kissed her and looked behind her seeing him walk away and he called out, "We're just getting started kid. It's not over yet." And Marie looked forward all red in the face and she smiled and thought, I love you too you big moron!

Meanwhile, in a high-rise office, a phone began to ring and soon someone answered it. The person on the other end said, "It's me, I just met them. Check your e-mail and you'll see what I have to offer." And the person then began clicking around with his mouse until he opened the e-mail sent to him and what he read on it he smirked while puffing out smoke from his cigar.

The person on the phone said, "So what do you say Alden? Who do you want to try out first?"

Alden Greene then said to the person, "Let's give the girl a try and then I can take them both. I'm glad you called me, I've been looking for a couple new pets." And he inhaled his cigar and puffed out smoke on his computer that showed pictures of not just Marie but Jones too and the prices that were underneath them.

Marie POV:

A few days after we were done with the Industrial Area, Jones and I start in the Financial Center and once we get there we begin to tackle the district's first murder case. We soon get called to the stock exchange where we find a stock broker hung up on one of the monitors and his insides emptied out of him. It was during this case that I start to use fingerprint dust and the comparison database. It's also during this case that Jones and I meet a new enemy. What could've happened to this man and why? With the start of a new district and new cases, we'll just have to find out.
