After they were done with Nathan, Jones and Marie were on their way back to their desks when they heard their names being called on the intercom and they headed towards the chief's office. When they got there, King was furious and he shouted, "Jones! Marconi's lawyers have filed a restraining order against you claiming you have a maniacal obsession with him!"

Jones got shocked after hearing this and he pleaded, "What?! But I didn't even do anything! Don't you see that this means Marconi's guilty, chief! He's scared of getting caught!"

King then shouted out that he's heard enough and he explained to Jones that Marconi's legally allowed to do so and King understands. King then scolded, "You've let your personal hatred for Marconi dictate your actions and you've pushed it too far! From now on Jones you stay away from Marconi and his club or you'll be put on leave do you hear?" King then looked over to Marie and he thought, even though she doesn't like this either she knows how to keep a cool head.

King then assigned them to check the toolboxes at the garage and he also asked them if they check the sewers since they were right to the crime scene, but both of the officers shook their heads no. King then shouted, "You didn't?! For god sake, go sweep those damn sewers and this time Jones you'll do the diving!" And both saluted King and he dismissed them from his office.

Jones and Marie decided to check out the toolbox at the garage first. On their way there, Jones said, "I can't believe Marconi put a restraining order on me. I was just doing my job."

"Well, you do get a little arrogant time to time when you're meeting with him. I'm not saying Marconi is arrogant as well, but sometimes you let him get in your head a little and that can cause some problems," Marie explained and Jones sighed in frustration thinking that she was right.

Soon, they arrived at the garage and once they got inside, they started searching through the toolboxes. Suddenly, Marie found three things in her toolbox. She bagged an oil stained rag for the lab to analyze, a torn map which she knew she can piece together and a dog tag with the Viper logo and the name Ash written on it. The two of them then knew that the tag belonged to Ash Bison. They decided to give the oil rag to the lab, then put the map back together and then talk to Ash.

Once they dropped the rag off at the lab, Marie got to work putting the map together and soon she was finished. Jones then began wondering what it was doing in the Vipers' Pit. The two officers then saw it was a map of the district and they saw that it was broken with red and blue colors and they thought that they could be the gang colors of The Skulls and The Vipers. Marie then said, "I think they were trying to divide the district into gang territories, but it seems that it didn't go too well."

"And both of their leaders would've been here for this which proves that Troy met with Salvador recently even if he told us otherwise," Jones added in and they thought that it gives The Skulls' leader a good motive for murder and they decided to go and talk to him to see if he tells them the truth.

After looking around they city for a while, Jones and Marie found Ash in an alleyway and when they approached him and showed him the dog tag, he smirked and said sarcastically, "Thanks for finding my dog tag. Really great police work, I'm impressed."

Jones then laughed sarcastically and said, "Don't you think you should at least try and pretend you're saddened by Salvador's death?"

Ash then smirked and told the officers that Salvador was an idiot and he kept on doing dumb shit to try and trigger his asthma for laughs. Jones then began thought, if this guy has asthma and if I look closely he's chewing a piece of gum in his mouth. Then this makes him the perfect suspect. Ash then clenched his teeth in anger and said, "I'm flattered that I'm high on your suspect list but you better beat it before you become the perfect punching ball!"

After they were done talking with Ash, Jones and Marie headed out to speak with Troy Cassidy. As he was driving, Jones thought, that Ash can be quite arrogant as well and he went through all that trouble to save Marie and me when Salvador scrubbed us down. Soon, they found Troy where they left him and Jones approached him taking out a pair of handcuffs and he told the gangster he was under arrest for breaking into Salvador's garage.

Shocked at that announcement, Troy said, "What?! You can't arrest me just because I was at Salvador's garage! So yeah, I was there for a bit but that's all!"

Marie then showed him the map they found that showed the gang's colors and when Troy looked at it, he said that he managed to talk to Salvador out of a the gang war in exchange for a bit of him land. But Salvador just kept on asking for more and more. Jones then went cross and he said, "You know what Troy? It actually sounds like you had a whole lot to gain from his death and it doesn't help that it seems your meeting ended with a fight!"

"Okay, yeah. I kind of lost my temper with Salvador but I didn't kill him! I'm always on the edge these days cause I'm trying to quit smoking; it's not good for my asthma. So I chew gum instead, but it doesn't beat nicotine," Troy told them while taking out a stick of gum and popping it in his mouth.

Once they were done talking with Troy, Jones and Marie headed towards the sewers and Jones began cracking up. Curious Marie asked what was so funny and he said, "That guy is a gullible idiot! Chews gum and has asthma? You just realized that Troy delivered us all that information on a silver platter!"

After they got to the sewers, Marie put on a pair of boots while Jones donned on a wet suit. Once they were underneath the city, Jones sighed in frustration and he thought, I'm going to have this image in my dreams tonight. Soon, Jones dived in the water and started swimming around looking for clues while Marie stood on the platform watching. Marie then called, "Anything I can do?"

Jones then poked his head up and he said, "You just do what you always do when we find evidence Marie. Right now, just leave the finding to me." And he went back to swimming around looking for clues.

While Jones was swimming, Marie looked around and saw two things that caught her eye. One was a discarded shoe and the other was a bottle of hand sanitizer covered in blood. She then called to her partner and told him to stop searching and he showed him what she found. Surprised at what she found, Jones thought, I had to swim through poo water while she stayed on dry land and found all that?! Once Jones was out of water, Jones looked over the shoe and saw it had traces of car oil on the sole.

He also saw that the bottle of hand sanitizer was covered in blood and soon, both clues were bagged and Jones was dressed again and the two of them headed back to the station to get samples from both of them. After they got back, Marie collected a sample of blood from the hand sanitizer and she then collected a soil sample from the shoe and she sent both samples to Grace to get analyzed.

After a few hours, the blood sample, the soil sample and the oil rag were done being analyzed and Grace called Jones and Marie to the forensics lab. First, Grace explained to them that the rag they found was covered in car oil; seeing as it's no surprise since it was found in a garage. But what is surprising are the small glass fragments that were found in it, which matched the glass found in Salvador's wounds; it also proved that the rag was used by the killer post-murder. Their were also traces of fibers on the rag which meant it was rubbed against clothing. Grace then told them that the killer tried to remove an oil stain from their clothes.

She then smiled at them and said, "What your killer didn't know is this type of car oil is impossible to get rid of. Which means the killer is wearing oil-stained clothes."

Jones then looked down and mumbled good work to her and Marie then pulled him out quickly before she could tell them the results of the blood and soil. Marie then placed her hands on her hips and said, "What's your problem now David?!"

Jones then placed his hands on Marie's shoulders and he said, "I didn't want to say anything in front of Grace, but did you realize Ginger has a big oil stain on her clothes!"

Marie then turned shocked and she said, "If that's true then that means she was at the Vipers' Pit even though she promised us she wasn't! I can't believe she lied to us like that!" And then Jones broke out in a sweat and calmly told her not to jump to conclusions and began wondering that maybe she had a good reason for going to Salvador's garage

Marie then calmed down and agreed that they should ask her. Before the two officers left to talk with Ginger, they went back to the forensics lab to hear the rest of the results from the samples they turned in. Once they were in front of Grace again, she explained to them that the blood they found on the hand sanitizer was Salvador's. Jones then got surprised and he began wondering that it doesn't make any sense, but Grace smiled kindly at them and told them it makes perfect sense.

She then said to Jones and Marie, "By trying to erase all the evidence, they actually preserved some vital information; your killer uses hand sanitizer."

Marie then began remembering their case with the Russian mafia and how it was a vital piece of evidence. She then began remembering looking through the files and some of the suspects who used hand sanitizer and Tony Marconi was included on the list of suspects. Jones then declared that Marconi must be the killer, but Marie gave him a look and he remembered the restraining order and he decided to leave Marconi alone. But Marie put a note in her mind that Marconi uses hand sanitizer.

After the blood was out of the way, Grace then told Jones and Marie about the soil sample. She explained that she found traces of car oil which is exactly the same oil that was found in the Vipers' Pit; which meant the shoe's owner was there. Jones then looked down and said, "That's interesting Grace, but it doesn't help us much."

"This next bit will, the soil traces can only be found in Cooperville. That should narrow down your suspects a little bit," Grace said while smiling brightly.

Jones and Marie then thanked Grace for the information and as soon as they left the lab, Jones began thinking about who they know in Cooperville. Marie then jogged his memory and said, "One-Tooth Sam lives in Cooperville! We haven't seen him since the butcher case."

Jones then smiled brightly and said, "It would be nice to see Sam again and besides, he knows everything that goes on in Cooperville so we should definitely go and talk to him." And soon the two officers left the station to talk to Ginger and Sam.

Once they found Ginger and brought her back to the station, they took her to the interrogation room and Marie asked her, "Ginger, we noticed that you have a big stain on your clothes. Care to explain how you got it? Maybe from Salvador's garage?"

Shocked at what she was asking, Ginger wondered how she found out and she looked and saw the oil stain. She then told them, "I tried wiping it the damn thing off with hand sanitizer, but I think it just made it worse. To answer your question, yes I was at the Vipers' Pit, but I didn't choose to go there. Salvador dragged me there by force and he kept on ranting that I had to start working for him or I pay the price."

Ginger then began sobbing that she would never work for that slimebag, so she spat in his face and soon he slapped her. She then calmed down a little and said to the two officers, "You know, just because I'm a hooker, I'm still allowed to say no, right?"

Jones then began to break out in a sweat and he asked her if Cordero raped her, but she shook her head and she told them that he stopped dead in tracks and Ginger then wished she could thank whoever killed him. After Ginger was gone, Jones turned red in the face and he shouted out angrily, "Salvador's evil knew no bounds! If he was still alive, you can be sure I'd kill him all over again!"

"If you ask me Jones, the story Ginger told us gives her a very good reason to kill him," Marie said as her partner was calming down a little.

Jones then began breaking out in a sweat once he got a thought in his head that shocked him. He then looked towards Marie and said, "This is terrible! All the elements are really pointing to Ginger as our prime suspect!" And Marie then rubbed his back in soothing circles and he placed his head in his hands while thinking he couldn't bear seeing someone else he knows go to jail again.

After Jones calmed down, the two of them headed towards Cooperville to talk to One-Tooth Sam. Once they were in front of him, Marie showed him the shoe they found and she asked him if it belonged to anybody. Sam then told them that it belonged to him and he was at the Vipers' pit quite recently. He then explained that he went there to try and convince Salvador to stop vandalizing Cooperville but it was pointless and Salvador then Sam out and into a puddle of oil.

Jones then squinted his eyes at the homeless man and he told him, "I'm sorry to hear that Sam, but you do understand that this makes you a suspect now. You'll have to stick around for a while until the case is over."

Sam then gave the two of them a big grin and said, "Don't worry, I wasn't planning on going anywhere. Plus, it'll be early nice seeing the both of you a bit more. Also, you wouldn't happen to have any chewing gum on you? Cause I've eaten way too much garlic for lunch and the smell is driving me crazy." And as soon as Marie gave him a piece of gum they headed back to the station.

Once they got back, Jones and Marie were at their desks and Jones had his head in his desk and he said oh loud, "First Ginger and now Sam?! I'm not believing this Marie, but I just can't believe our friends are now suspects for a dirtbag's murder!"

Marie then patted him on the shoulder and said to him in a comforting tone, "We're getting closer David. Just hang on for a little while longer."
