I watched Jenny drive away from me, the truck getting smaller and smaller as she disappeared. I cringed as I stretched my leg out. I rolled my pant leg up and checked out the bullet wound. It was just above my right leg, bloody streamed down my thigh and I quickly ripped a piece of my tank top off. I tied it around the bullet and pulled the pant leg down. I cringed and stood up.
I took a step and held my hands out so I could keep my balance. A sharp pain went through my leg and I gritted my teeth. I was going to have to suck it up and bare through the pain. Step by step I made my way back to the farm.
I neared the one hour mark and it was probably around noon. It was around seven when we left so I figured that I've been walking for a good three hours.
My feet ached and my leg was burning from agony, but I had to keep moving. I couldn't let Jenny ruin my life.
I bit down on my lip and kept walking. My hunger and thirst started to get to me when I started to hallucinate. I thought I saw a giant coke, dancing with a mcdonalds hamburger. I rubbed my forehead and shook my head.
It was just a hallucination, food doesn't dance. I groaned and looked around the surrounding woods. Lucky for me I haven't seen any walkers, otherwise I'd be screwed. I reached down into my hoot and pulled out Daryl's knife.
I felt safer with the pointy object in my hands, knowing that if I was attacked I would be okay. I walked for another hour, darkness started to settle in around me as the sun began to set.
I felt as if I was loosing my mind, I was filled with exhaustion, pain, sadness and hate.
When I got back to camp, Jenny would wish that she would have shot me in the head. I got so lost in my thoughts I didn't even notice the walker that was stumbling towards me.
I quickly readied my knife but missed when I went to stab the walker. It knocked me to the ground, its weight overpowering me. The knife was so close but yet so far, the tips of my fingers touching it as I tried to kick the walker off.
I made a sound of frustration and stretched my arm to the outermost limit, the tips of my fingers barely wrapping around the knife handle.
I pulled my arm towards me, thankfully bringing the knife with me. I quickly stabbed the walker in the head, it's blood squirting all over my face.
I groaned and pushed the giant walker off of me. I rolled out from underneath it and stood up to be attacked by another walker.
I didn't hesitate to stab the walker in the head, I wasn't going to give up like that.
I pushed on, my body aching, my leg spilling blood whenever I moved. My head started to ache and I felt dizzy.
No keep pushing, you have to keep going. For Daryl, Tayler and Jason. Mom and Dad, everyone else. That's what kept me moving.
I got to the town in complete darkness. The moon was my only source of light. I felt so dizzy, my head started to spin and I couldn't tell where I was. I shook my head and pushed into the nearest building.
I glanced around for any walkers, empty shelves of pharmacy items covered the floor.
As I looked out the window, I couldn't figure out how to move my limbs. I toppled to the ground, falling on top of a shelf.
I landed heard against the shelf, my vision going black around the edges. The last thing I saw before I blacked out was a tall figure, stumbling towards me with its arm extended.
