Five More Hours- Deorro f/ Chris Brown
U & I- Galantis

"Good afternoon, Mr. And Mrs. Pedrad." Doctor Rodriguez greets us as she walks into the room. It's been about three and a half hours since Ty got here, and the contractions weren't that bad then. They're really bad now, only about two minutes apart.

"Hi." I say as I try not to grit my teeth in pain. She sits down at the end of the bed, scribbles a few things down on the chart on the footboard, then checks on me. She begins to set me up, propping my legs up and placing the bucket beneath to catch the blood.

I look up at Ty, frightened. He only gives my hand a reassuring squeeze, reminding me that this will all be worth it in the end.

A nurse comes around behind me and injects the epidural into my lower back. The familiar small pinch in my back sends relief through my body. At least now I know that most of the pain will diminish soon.

"Okay, you can start pushing now, Mrs. Pedrad." Doctor Kelsey smiles from the foot of the bed. I nod as I take Ty's hand in mine.

>>

Three hours later, and I'm still pushing, the shoulders now out, and the rest of Dylan almost out. "One more big push and he should be out!" Doctor Kelsey speaks over my screams.

Ty still holds my hand, and I lean forward, sitting up as I push. "That's it!" Doctor Kelsey chants. "That will help with the pain." She smiles as she reaches forward, I guess to hold Dylan as he comes out.

Ty places his hand that isn't holding mine on my shoulder. Tears blur my vision as I look at Ty, the pain overwhelming me one second, and gone the next. I hear a shrill cry as I release Ty's hand, falling back down into the bed.

"Sir, would you like to cut the umbilical cord?" A nurse asks Ty. He nods sheepishly, his hand slipping off of my shoulder and running down my arms as he walks to another spot in the room where a bunch of nurses are.

Seconds later, the deed is done, and Ty walks back over to me with tear-filled eyes. He sits down beside me as takes my hand in his. "He's beautiful." He whispers, and I smile, pecking his cheek.

Soon, a blue bundle is brought over by a nurse, and I gasp. He truly is beautiful. The nurse places him in my arms, and Ty looks over my shoulder at him, his arm placed around my shoulder and his hand stroking my arm.

"I hate to break up this family moment, but what would you like to name him?" Doctor Kelsey asks. "Dylan Lee Pedrad." We both smile. She nods, and then Ty walks over to fill out a form.

Dylan sleeps peacefully in my arms, and as I look down at him, I see so much of Ty. "Sorry ma'am, but we need to take him to clean him up." A nurse says.

I nod, and Doctor Kelsey walks over to me. "You just need to deliver the placenta, and then you'll be able to rest." She tells me. Rest. It seems so foreign to me right now.

>>                Tris

"Honey," I hear Tobias's voice as he steps into the house. I take another sip from my coffee as I flip through a magazine. He sounds frantic. I set down my cup, looking up at him confusedly.

"Hunter came by the control room earlier telling me to go to the infirmary." He says, "So I did. Maddie and Ty are there, and Maddie has gone into labor." He tries his best to smile, but it looks pained.

I smile. "Dylan will be here shortly then," I say. He smiles.

"It's still weird to know that Maddie's last name now is the same as..." He shudders falsely, "Zeke." I break out in laughter, and then hear a gurgle. I turn and see Hannah clinging to the stairwell. I jump up and go and pick her up.

"No, we're not going to be doing that today, missy." I say as I kiss her forehead.

"Miss mama!" She gasps as she cries uncontrollably, thrashing her body against my side. "Da!" She shouts. I place her down on the ground when I reach the floor, and walk over to the refrigerator, pulling out a bottle of milk, one of the ones that Maddie said was breast milk.

I give it a quick shake as I walk over to grab a bib, and then walk over to Hannah, who is now laying on the floor, kicking her legs in the air and grasping the floor. "Mama!" She screeches, "DA!"

I lean down beside Hannah, and hold the bottle in front of her. She gazes at it, her crying now stopped, seemingly mesmerized by the plastic that I hold. I place it on the ground and then place the bib around her neck.

I pick the bottle back up and lower it to her mouth, and pick her up.

She smiles as she drinks, holding the bottle for herself. I kiss her tiny forehead, and place her on my hip. "Do you know how far Into labor she is?" I ask Tobias, now standing a few feet away from him. He shakes his head.

"She seemed to not be in a lot of pain, but before I walked in, I overheard her telling Ty that she was scared because she knew it was going to hurt." He says as he stuffs his hands into his pockets.

"Oh, poor Maddie. Did you talk to Ty?" He presses his lips into a flat line, then looks up at me.

"Yeah, I told him that I was glad that he was there with Maddie, because he was sitting in there by her side, holding her hand and handing her a glass of tea when she needed it. But yeah, that was pretty much it." He shrugs, and I nod.

When Hannah finishes with the bottle, she throws it at Tobias, who catches it just by sticking his arm out. "I think I've got the hang of this," he smiles as he sets the bottle down on the table.

"Well, I'm going to go to Badass Baby, and I'm gonna go talk to Shauna and Zeke. I'll take Hannah with me." I smile down at Hannah as I walk over and grab her diaper bag.

He nods. "Bye honey," he says as he kisses me. Hannah slaps her hands on our cheeks, and I pull away, laughing. "Bye, honey." I say to him, and walk out.

Hannah and I walk across the pit, and then down Shauna and Zeke's hallway. We pass by Maddie and Ty's apartment on the way there, Hannah shouting down the hallway, "HOUSE!"

We eventually arrive at Shauna and Zeke's, and I knock on their door. Zeke opens it up. "Hey, Trissy!" He smiles, then looks down at Hannah. "Hey, cutie." He laughs at her, and Hannah giggles.

"Come in," he smiles, and we do. I set Hannah down on the couch, and place her diaper bag on the floor, near the door. I go and sit beside Hannah, and Shauna sits on the couch. "Hey, Tris." She smiles at me.

"Hey." I grin, running a hand through my hair. "I came to tell you guys that Ty and Maddie are at the infirmary, and that Maddie is in labor." I say, making a flat motion with my hands.

Shauna's eyes widen and Zeke slaps his hands over his cheeks, pulling them down his face, making his eyes pull down a small bit as well. "DYLAN IS COMING!" He shouts. Shauna laughs.

"Is she already delivering or..?" Shauna asks.

I shrug. "Hunter had to take Maddie to the infirmary since Ty was at work, and then he got Ty, then went and told Four that she was in labor. Last I checked, she was at a five." Shauna nods.

"I bet Ty's gonna have a really sore hand tomorrow." Zeke says. Shauna raises her eyebrows as she nods her head. I must look confused, because Zeke launches into a story.

"So, last time, when Hannah was born, Ty told me that Maddie was holding his hand the entire time, but that she was squeezing his hand really hard, and it was bruised. So, he's gonna have a sore hand this time." Zeke concludes.

I let my mouth form an 'O' shape as I nod my head, now understanding, then look at Zeke, who smiles giddily. "Dylan Lee Pedrad will be here very very soon!" He smiles. We all agree, gushing about how excited we are.

Because Dylan will definitely be here soon.

>>                  Maddie

"Hello?" I hear a voice say from the other side of the door. Ty sits beside me as I breastfeed a peaceful Dylan.

"Yes?" Ty asks. I look over at the door, my messy bun bouncing around on my head. My mother steps in with Hannah toddling beside her.

"Hannah Bear!" Ty says loudly and happily as she barrels toward him, her little feet slamming down on the ground with each step. She runs to him and hugs his legs.

He picks her up. She smiles cheekily, "DA!" She squeals. I laugh a little bit at the sight of the two of them, and feel pain in my core and my stomach.

I ignore it though, looking down at Dylan as he nurses quietly. He fists at my skin, letting out little breaths periodically as he feeds.

My mother stands beside me, looking down at Dylan and I. She tucks a piece of hair behind her ear. "He's gorgeous, Maddie." I can see the tears reaching the brim of her eyes. I smile as I look up at her.

"Wah!" Hannah says as she looks over at me. She waves her arm in the air at me, the other one gripping onto Ty's shoulder for dear life.

"Who's that?" Ty asks her, a smile on his face. I grin at them, looking at how great of a father Ty is. If he'd just believe it.

"See-bing!" She shouts, "Se-bing!" Ty looks at her happily as she waves her arms around in the air, a surprised look on her chubby face.

"That's your brother Dylan!" Ty cheers. Hannah looks over at Dylan with a fearful look on her face. "Can you say Hi?" Ty questions her. She turns to Dylan, who I now cradle happily, pulling the hospital gown back up to its original position.

"Hi," she whispers.

"Can you say 'Hi Dylan'?" Ty looks down at Hannah, his emerald green eyes meeting her chocolate brown ones and seeming to smile at her. I crack a small smile as I look from them to to Dylan, his light brown eyes staring straight into mine.

"Hi Deelon!" She smiles. She reaches out and strokes Dylan's arm, then pulls away, and curls into Ty's side. I grin at him.

He smirks at me, and I wink at him, before looking back at my mother, who smiles sheepishly at the two of us, then gushes, "You two are so adorable."

>>

My mother left earlier with Hannah after taking a family picture of the four of us. Ty sits beside me, and it's just the two of us. Dylan had to be taken to another wing of the infirmary, where he will be monitored to check on his health before we can leave later.

The sunlight that used to shine through the window is now long gone, replaced with the shadows of the night. Ty sits in the chair uncomfortably, and I feel my lips curl into the smallest smile.

"You can lay down beside me if you want," I say, scooting over to the opposite side of the hospital bed, leaving enough room for him. He bites his lip before smiling, and nodding slowly.

He stands up and moves to lay down on the bed. I lay my head down on his shoulder, and he lays his head on top of mine.

"Dylan's finally here, Ty." I whisper. He turns his head into my neck and kisses it, before moving back to where he was.

"Our wonderful son, Maddie. Dylan Lee Pedrad." He says as he yawns, wrapping his arm around my small body.

"Let me just say," I turn to look at him, "It feels good to be able to see my feet again." I whisper, and he cracks a small smile.

He kisses me, then pulls away. "Hannah's reaction made me laugh internally." Ty chuckles. I nod, not able to contain my laughter as Ty tries to impersonate Hannah.

"DEELON!" He says, or should I say, squeaks. I laugh, and it hurts, but I only grimace for a second, before kissing Ty full on the lips.

He pulls away, and I look at his eyes. They capture me, and I stare into them, then move to bury my head in his chest.

He wraps his arm around me, laying his head down on top of mine, and I know that this will be our last moment alone for a while, so I indulge in it and breathe it in.

a/n: I just want to say that this book, so far, has been a very successful journey. I love writing the story of Maddie and Ty, and I will continue to love it for as long as I am writing it and/or reading it.
That being said, you guessed it- it's THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF CONVERGENT! I'm really excited, and that's why you're getting this special chapter. Dylan is born, and yes, his name is Dylan as in Dylan O'Brien. Sorry. Ok well I'm gonna go. I've got some more drama for the last bash of the book, then an epilogue, and also some bonus chapters in Ty's point of view about his life before Maddie. Ok hope you enjoy the last probably 50 chapters and stuff. Okay byeeeee!
