Bad Blood - Taylor Swift & Kendrick Lamar
~~Maddie~~
••••
I leap out of the train, Ty beside me. The impact of the cold, dew coated ground hurts my knees, but I ignore it.
Ty taps my shoulder, and we stalk over to the forest ahead of us, looking for the fruit trees. I find one, a peach tree, and think of a way to get the peaches down without climbing the tree.
I guess there's not another way. I grab limbs of the tree, stretching out and pulling down peaches two to three at a time.
I get six, and Ty comes back with a small paper bag. I climb down, holding the peaches in my arm. "What's in the bag?" I chuckle. "Cheese, bread, and sausage." He says. I look up when I see the flash of a light.
"Shit, Ty Let's go." I say, grabbing his arm as I jog to the railroad. He stuffs the food in my backpack, throwing the bag behind him. The light of the train horn catches my eye as I begin to run.
Ty sprints behind me, looking behind him for the train, which is approaching quickly. As it begins to surpass me, I launch myself at it, grabbing the handle. My hand presses the circular open button, and as the door slides back, I crawl in.
I sit against the wall, breathing heavily when Ty comes in. He crouches down in front of me. "You alright?" He asks. I nod slowly. "That's my girl." His knees pop as he stands up to look out the train cart.
He opens up his backpack, and pulls out the beer, opening it. He takes a swig, and passes it to me. I take a swig as well, and hold onto it. It's still pretty cold. It's already stinging and burning my hands.
I take another swig. The liquid glides down my throat, burning. "I dare you to walk to a candor house and pour vinegar down their chimney." I say.
Ty looks at me, narrowing his eyes before agreeing. "Here comes Candor. Let's jump." He says. With that, we leap off into a dark oblivion once again.
>>
Ty wraps an arm around me as we walk into Candor, laying low in our dark colored clothing. We almost match those around us, but not exactly.
I see smoke billowing out of a chimney at a house, and point to it. "There's your house." I say. We jog there, and Ty climbs a tree next to the house; next to the chimney. He opens the large jug of vinegar, and pours a large amount into the chimney.
He jumps down, and I see lights flip on, and someone shout, "What's that?" Ty and I dive into some bushes as they open the door. I check to see where my hands are laying, and my left one is right on top of Ty; more specifically, his junk. My face reddens as I pull away. "Sorry." I mumble. He only smirks, though.
~~~ Ty ~~~
Maddie and I dive for the bushes as the residents of the house we just poured vinegar in come outside looking for us. Finally we're sitting down, but I feel a pressure down there, as Maddie puts it.
I look down, only seeing darkness. The pressure disappears as Maddie lifts her hand away. "Sorry," she says. I smirk for a minute, before wrapping an arm around her. We both poke our heads out, seeing nobody in particular who would try to hurt us.
We both jump out, backpacks on our backs, and jog back to the train. The ground shakes as it arrives, we jog as fast as we can.
I leap for the train, pulling myself in as the door pulls away. I stick out my hand for Maddie, who comes in just seconds after me.
We stand up. I pull out the beer, handing it to her. She takes her swig before handing it back to me.
I take a long chug, feeling the burning sensation of the beer in my throat. I hold it as I look at Maddie. Tapping my chin, I look up at the ceiling as if I'm in deep thought.
"I dare you to throw water balloons in the Abnegation house windows." She smirks at me. "Gladly." She jests. "Oh shit we're already here." Maddie chants as we leap out of the train.
I hand her the last of the loaded water balloons. "Have fun." I say to her, dropping them in her arms.
She runs quickly toward the gray squared Abnegation houses, and begins launching the water balloons at all of the houses as I take my place behind a small tree.
Lights in houses turn on as Maddie dives for a space behind an abandoned building.
A woman steps out of a house, and Maddie fires another water balloon at her. It hits the wall near her, and she runs inside. Maddie jogs back over to me as I laugh hysterically.
"Let's go." She says while laughing.
The train rattles and shakes as we near the Dauntless Headquarters near the city's edge. The fence glows brightly as we approach the Pier. "Come on, Maddie." I say. She walks over as I leap out, onto the small gravel on the roof of the headquarters. I wait for another black blob to float out of the car, but I don't see one.
"Maddie?" I call. Nothing. "Maddie?"
"I'm right here." She says from behind me. I race over to her, hugging her and breathing in her scent of wind and perfume.
"You scared me." I say. She wraps her arms around me, taking a deep breath. Suddenly, I don't see the city's glow of bright, twinkling lights anymore. It must be midnight.
Another train passes us as we stand on the dark roof, hugging. "Let's go inside." She says while smiling. We walk over to the ledge of the roof, Maddie slightly behind me.
~~~ Maddie ~~~
"I'll jump first." Ty says shortly.
He pulls a flashlight out of his pocket, turning it on. He drops it off to the right of the hole, so there's a small light besides the light coming from inside the hole.
"See you in a minute," he says quietly as he steps off of the ledge, his body falling into the hole perfectly. I see the net slump, meaning that he rolled himself out.
I push myself off the ledge, feeling my stomach dip as if I'm on an elevator going down. I groan as I hit the net, feeling my back ache as the hard rope wraps around my small body.
I feel a jerk on the net as I am being pulled out. Rough hands run down my arms as I turn to look at Ty. "Hope they don't check the light." He laughs. "It should be dead by morning." He finishes.
I nod. Then there's just a comfortable silence between the two of us as we walk back to the apartment.
"Well, it was a helluva night." Ty says to me. I nod, seeing all of the Dauntless Members in their black clad clothing. It gives me a sense of home.
>>
"Ty," I yelp. He nibbles on my ear as he leaves kisses from my neck to my stomach, spending time at the valley between my breasts.
He smiles against my skin, gently sucking on my neck. I breathe heavily as I feel my self control disappearing. That beer wasn't a good idea. I feel tipsy; everything is a rush.
I tug at Ty's boxers, knowing what I want. He smirks at me, watching my misfortune. He eventually tugs them off, kissing my lips. His taste like beer, I assume mine do as well.
"You're hot," I say as I look at his face. It's the booze talking now. My eyes drift downward. "You're really hot." I laugh hysterically.
I stand up, moving over to sit on his lap. He smirks devilishly at me, his eyebrows raising.
I kiss his forehead, then move to pick up the bottle of alcohol from the floor. I can't tell what it is; I'm too caught up in Ty. I think it's beer, but it could be wine, ooh, or maybe vodka.
I take a long swig, feeling my throat burn. Everything is spinning now. Ty takes it from my hands, taking a swig as well. "Maybe you should be done with that." He says as he sets the bottle down.
I get off of him, and lay down on the bed. Ty flips over to lay next to me.
He twirls a piece of my hair from my face. "You're beautiful, I hope you know that." He says, then proceeds to kissing my neck, down to my stomach.
My hands claw at his back and his hair as he moves farther downward. It's completely dark right now- no city lights, no lights in the house on, and, of course, no clothes on.
I arch my back, sighing in pure bliss as Ty aligns himself. "I love you," I say, my eyes glossy. "I love you too," Ty replies, and it begins.
>>
Ty kisses my neck, his arms around me, breathing heavily. I hear a knock at the door, so I release myself from the arms of Ty, who sits on the couch, to go see who it is.
I crack open the door, and two men dressed in black pants and hoodies with white masks slam the door to the wall. One shoves me down, then they both walk over to where Ty sits.
He's motionless. He wears a black hoodie, and the men give him a mask and a gun. He slides the mask on, and walks over to me.
He holds the gun to my forehead, and mumbles something, then says, "Hannah was nothing but a mistake. Can't you see? I've never loved either of you even though I said I did.
"Now you should see the fate that should have come long ago. Boys, go get the girl." He looks back at me, and then as I try to get up, he slams the gun into my forehead once again.
The two men bring Hannah downstairs, holding her under each of her tiny armpits. She squirms as they march down the steep stairs.
Her eyes are closed, as if she doesn't know what's happening. "My daughter." I croak. Ty slaps me. "My daughter, blah." He says. "Keep your mouth shut."
I look at him in utter disgust. Maybe I can break through to him by making it seem like I don't care. Like the fact that my daughter is about to be killed doesn't phase me.
I look at Ty. His eyes are a cold, set green, looking at the world in a tough way. His chest moves up and down as the two men set Hannah in a chair, and hold a gun to both sides of her head.
My heart skips a beat as I look at Hannah. She's already slumped over, as if she's passed out. "NO!" I scream as they pull the triggers. Hannah's body slumps downward into the chair, the blood immediately pooling around her. "You're such a bastard." I say, kicking Ty in the leg to knock him down, which I do.
I take the gun from his hand and hold it at the other two men. "You're all bastards." One comes forward, and knocks the gun out of my hands before I can shoot it, kicking me down beside Ty.
They each hold a gun to Ty, who shakes rapidly. They kick his mask off and hold the guns to his head. "Goodbye, Maddie." He croaks as they shoot him multiple times.
I feel blood seeping around me as my ears ring. "NO, No, no. Ty's not dead. You're not dead." I say to Ty's lifeless body, trying to coax him.
"Maddie." I hear someone's voice. It sounds muffled, like I can't hear anything, "Maddie!" I shoot up in bed in a cold sweat with dried tear tracks on my face. Ty looks at me, then runs a hand down my arms.
"Get off of me." I say harshly. He looks at me sadly. I swat at his chest.
"Look, whatever happened in that dream of yours isn't real." He says. I stop, and look around. Ty is alive. Hannah is away at Olivia's. My head pounds as I stare at Ty's eyes, creasing my eyebrows.
"I'm sorry," I mumble. "Tell me about it." He says. I shake my head. "You'd be mad." I say.
"Just tell me about the dream!" He says.
With that, I launch into detail about the dream, and how horrible and real it seemed.
Ty holds me close to his bare chest as I tell him, occasionally gasping and covering his mouth as I do so.
By the time I finish, he hugs me close to him, like a young child with a stuffed animal. I turn to him, a smirk planted on my lips. He looks down at me as I bury my head in his chest.
I suddenly get the urge to go to the bathroom. "Sorry, I'll be right back." I say. He smiles. "Okay." I walk over to the bathroom, my pajama shirt itching my back. I sit down on the toilet, and immediately see blood on my underwear.
"F this." I groan. My head hurts as I hold it in my hands. "Too much alcohol." I shake my head. I get up, and walk over to the medicine cabinet, and pull out a box of pads. "Shit." I hum as I do so. I remove one from the box, not feeling the tampon life today.
I walk back to the bedroom and see Ty laying on the bed, looking outside the window at the dark city.
Silently, I stalk to the dresser, where I pull out a new pair of underwear, mumbling profanities under my breath while I complete the task.
"What's up?" Ty asks, his gaze not moving a centimeter. "Period." I mumble. He chuckles. "No sex, Tyler." I say in a chastising way. At the mention of this, he sadly groans.
"Be back." I walk from the room back to the bathroom, where I change, and clean myself up. I check my phone for the time. Two-forty-three. I groan, pulling the skin under my eyes down.
This is the start of a long week.
a/n: Hope you all liked the chapter, and who saw that Paper Towns Quote? Oh well. But back to your regularly scheduled a/n.
Yes, I am on my period. And yes, it is crap. But the worst part is that I have to get braces tomorrow on my bottom teeth and just nope. So I'll have pain on the north and the south. "Cool," she says sarcastically. I went to the mall with my awesome friend yesterday, and we hung out. I almost got into a fight with the Chinese food guy because I asked for one order of Orange Chicken, not two. Ugh. But my friend that I was hanging out with is my co-author for my newest book, TWERK, which I will publish soon. I'm having some communication problems with her because her Phone is screwed up, but yeah. So, Questions.
