To celebrate International Fanworks Day and Valentine's Day I'm giving you a chapter today.
(International Fanworks Day is an annual event on February 15th celebrating and promoting fanworks of all kinds).

I also hope you had a better Valentine's Day then me. Mine was horrible...

Anyways, hope you enjoy this chapter!

"Hyung, do we still have some cocoa powder?" someone shouted from the kitchen. "I don't know, have you looked in the cupboard above the sink yet?" the older man shouted back. They could hear someone opening a cupboard door and moving the contents in all directions and then closing it again with a disappointed sigh.
"I can't find anything," the voice calls back sadly. The older man gets up and goes into the kitchen, where he is greeted by a huge cloud of flour. The poor man has to cough hard and blows the remains away from his face.
"Felix, what have you done? It looks like a bomb went off here," the boy said, still coughing. But it wasn't Felix' fault. He was just standing in his place, in front of a half-finished brownie batter and had an innocent puppy look on his face.

"Minho, that wasn't Felix. I accidentally slipped the flour packet out of my hand and dropped it on the floor. But I'll clean it up straight away. But first we need cocoa powder, otherwise Lixie won't be able to finish baking his brownies," apologizes Jeongin, who continues to search frantically for cocoa powder. Minho just shakes his head and then sighs audibly.
"If you haven't found any by now, then we probably won't have any left. After all, Lixie has been baking for the last few days straight. So I'm not surprised that one ingredient is running out," says Minho, trying to stop Jeongin from turning the entire kitchen upside down.
"But I want Lixie's brownies... No, I need them!" exclaims Jeongin, looking like a druggie addict.
"Okay, I think you need a break. This flour dust isn't just clouding your vision, it's clouding your brain too. Lixie and I will take care of the brownies and you make sure you calm down first and then clean up this mess," Minho says seriously and shoos the alpha out of the kitchen.

"So what are we going to do with you now?" asks Minho, looking at Felix, but his gaze is more focused on the unfinished dough in front of Felix. Felix immediately takes his cell phone out of his pocket and types something into it.
'We could go shopping...'
The question sounds so logical and insignificant, but Felix hasn't left the house since he got back from his short trip home. That must have been almost two weeks ago...

It wasn't that the others forbade Felix to leave the house. They only ADVISED him to stay in the house. The secret intention, however, was not to lose sight of Felix and repeat the same incident as two weeks ago or for him to get lost. They had only just got Felix back and he had allowed them to court him, so the pack didn't want to lose him again.
Minho looked at the boy with questioning eyes and you could see the uncertainty on Felix's face, but Minho also knew that they couldn't keep Felix locked up forever.
"Okay, get your shoes on. I'll quickly tell Chan and then we can go," says Minho and immediately a broadly grinning Felix runs from the kitchen to the shoe rack and frantically puts on his shoes.

Felix really likes the boys and appreciates their care. After all, it's been a long time since anyone has looked after him as much as they do. But Felix also needs a bit of space and needs to get out of the house again.
When Minho returns, he is not alone. Chan is behind him and stops right in front of Felix. Felix looks at Chan with a broad smile and it not only makes Chan's heart melt, but Minho's too.
"Minho told me you wanted to go shopping so you could bake our baby Alpha some brownies," Chan says to the boy, adjusting the jacket on Felix's shoulders. Felix just nods and lets Chan do it. "Okay, please take care of yourself and don't lose sight of Minho," Chan asks the boy, as the leader is not entirely comfortable with this, but he also knows that he can't keep Felix locked up forever.

Felix holds out his little finger to Chan and Chan laughs with amusement. The pinky promise became Felix's thing to make a promise to the others. The first time he did it was with Hyunjin, when the elder asked him to help out as a model. Hyunjin had the task of painting a picture of someone who had a deep meaning to him. Hyunjin knew that he could have just as easily asked one of the others, but Felix had become an important person in his life and so he wanted to try his luck with him. Felix didn't know what the picture was for, but he was happy to be able to help one of his saviors. Yes, Felix sees the pack as his heroes because they helped him from falling into a deep, lonely and dark hole.
They saved him...

Chan hooks his finger at Felix and nods in agreement. Felix quickly understood that nothing happens here until they discuss it with Chan first, especially when it involves Felix. But Felix doesn't think that's a bad thing. They are just showing that they care and want to protect him.
Minho takes the keys to the car and then leaves the house with a happy Felix. The drive to the store is about ten minutes long. When they arrive, Felix is the first to get out of the car and waits dutifully for Minho. Then they walk into the store and straight to the baked goods aisle.
"It was cocoa powder you needed, right?" asks Minho, standing in front of the cocoa powder range. Felix nods and Minho grabs the first best product.

"Hmm, while we're here, I might as well do some of the weekly shopping," Minho mumbles to himself and then walks down one aisle after the other. Felix follows the older boy like a good pup. But when they arrive at the fruit and vegetable stall, Felix sees someone who looks familiar. At first, Felix can't quite recognize the person. He sees the person from behind and it appears to be a young woman with long black hair. But when the person turns towards Felix, Felix recognizes the woman and can hardly believe his eyes. Standing in front of him is the person he thought was dead for years.

'Mom?'

It sounds so wrong to call someone that, but Felix is certain that this woman is his mother. Or at least someone who looks an awful lot like her. The woman has the same flawless skin, the same long hair and the same mole on her right cheek.
This really is his mother. She just stands there, unsuspecting, looking at the grapes. Felix continues to stare at the woman and can't believe what he sees. 'She doesn't even look sad?' How can his mother just stand there in the store four blocks away from his old home and look at grapes? If she was really still alive, why didn't she ever check on her son? Why did she leave her son, whom she apparently loved so much, alone with the thought that his own mother was dead?
Who is this woman?

Felix continues to stare at the woman in shock until Minho suddenly takes him by the arm. Felix immediately recoils. Minho looks at the boy with a questioning look. "Felix? Is everything all right?" asks Minho, wanting to take the boy by the arm again. Felix has had no problem being touched by Minho since the incident at school, but right now every touch burns like fire on his skin. Felix takes a step away from Minho and looks at him apologetically. Minho of course understands the signs and stays back, but he wonders what Felix has seen that makes him react like this. Minho looks around searchingly but can't see anything conspicuous. He only sees two women and a family in the store around him. Who has frightened Felix so much that all his efforts to get closer to Felix have ended up back at zero.

"Come on, let's go home," Minho says resolutely and, keeping a safe distance and accompanies the boy to the car. Minho doesn't say a word on the drive home, just watches Felix. But Felix doesn't act scared or look like he's about to have a panic attack. Felix just stares out of the window and looks up at the sky. He looks as if he is lost in thought. Minho's suspicions are confirmed when Felix doesn't get out of the car when they arrive back home. Minho looks at the boy for a few seconds, but can't see what's going on inside Felix. Then suddenly Jeongin and Jisung come running out of the house and run to Felix's car door and open it. "Lixie you're back. Come on, we have to finish baking the brownies," Jeongin shouts happily, but when he tries to take Felix by the arm, he gets the same reaction as Minho. Felix snaps out of his thoughts and pulls his arm towards him as if he's been burned by Jeongin's fingers.

"Lixie? What's wrong?" asks Jisung in astonishment, who is panicking. He probably didn't sense the panic in the store, as it's not within a five-mile radius.
"Jeongin, Jisung would you please carry the groceries inside," Minho distracts the boys. Jeongin and Jisung look confused one last time at the frightened boy in the car, but then follow Minho's request. While Jeongin and Jisung carry the groceries inside, Minho kneels down to Felix, who still hasn't calmed down from the touch.

"Hey Lixie, I don't know what's going on inside of your head, but there's a warm bed waiting for you to rest in. How does that sound?" Minho asks cautiously and after a moment's consideration, Felix nods in agreement and accompanies Minho upstairs. Minho goes ahead and opens the door to Felix's room. Felix goes into the room without giving him another glance and curls up in his comforter. Minho just sighs and then closes the door behind him. Whatever happened in the store has thrown Felix completely off track and Minho is so angry. But not at Felix, but at himself, because he doesn't know what it was or how he can help him. "Please let everything go well..."

So, what do you think?

Did you expect for Felix' mother to be back? Or is it even his mother?

How are the boys going to react, when they find out Felix started to panic, because he saw his dead mother? Or will he never tell them about his mother?

Well to find this out, you have to wait for the next update.

Thank you and I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
