today we've got some background stories from a few of the pack members...
I also hope this story isn't getting to complicated... I'm still trying to figure out how many plot twists I should add- ups spoiler... hehe.

Chan has never let down a member of his pack and today won't be the first day. But even though he is full of worry and the majority of his thoughts are with Felix, he doesn't lose sight of Jeongin and Seungmin who are running in front of him. The last thing he needs now is for one of his maknaes to get lost or injured. Although Seungmin is a beta-alpha and very smart, he often tends to stray because something else catches his eye that could potentially be of benefit to him. As soon as Seungmin sees something that seems important to him, the boy often stays behind and if Chan doesn't pay attention to him, he he would stay behind and get osot on his own. It was the same on the first day when they met him.
Seungmin was the third in the pack. Chan already had Jisung and Minho by his side. Jisung was the one who first sought contact with the younger '00 liner. Jisung later explained that Seungmin looked like a lost puppy who was practically screaming for help. But Seungmin is firmly convinced that Jisung just has a lot of helper syndrome and appeals to anyone who looks a little sad or is alone. And Seungmin has to admit, he was alone. But it wasn't like he was forced into it or that no one liked him. Seungmin loved peace and quiet and being alone. Then he could devour his books in peace. But even after the third rejection, Jisung didn't seem to understand that Seungmin wanted to be left alone. And so Seungmin tried to avoid the Omega. But Jisung really wanted to be friends with Seungmin and therefore sought help from Chan and Minho, who were very suspicious at first. Let's put it this way, the pack is only this big because of Jisung. Now that doesn't mean they regret taking in the others, but Jisung was the main reason why everyone is a part of this pack. And today no one would want to change it.
When Chan and Minho helped the young Omega get to know Seungmin better, Seungmin quickly learned that a few friends wouldn't hurt him. And aside from Jisung's annoying attitude, he was okay, but he would never say that to the omega's face. He would also never admit that he felt comfortable in Chan's presence pretty quickly. Chan had something that Seungmin lacked and in retrospect he is very grateful to Jisung for being so persistent. That's why Seungmin knows that they can't give up with Felix. At least not yet. Felix is still too distant from the group. He needs to get to know them properly before he can make a decision. If he still says 'no' after that, then Seungmin is the last person who will force him to do something. But he doesn't know how it looks like with Minho, Jisung and Chan. Because the three of them already seem to be very attached to the young Omega.
Chan looks from Seungmin to Jeongin, who is trying to run faster and faster like a champ. Jeongin has always been a very protective alpha. Even when he wasn't an alpha yet, he always put others before himself. Chan is very proud of the young alpha and he is even more proud of how Jeongin has changed. When Chan first saw the boy, he was a rocky acquaintance. Jeongin was just a freshman and Chan was already a sophomore. Normally the two would never have crossed paths if Jisung hadn't made sure Chan had to go back home because Jisung forgot his backpack. As Chan was running out of the school building, Jeongin ran in and bumped into Chan. Chan wouldn't have thought anything of it, but when Jeongin looked around at Chan and gave him a mean looking stare, Chan was a bit surprised.
When Chan couldn't get the boy out of his mind even after days, he looked around for the freshman. In fact, Jeongin wasn't completely unknown at school, more so in his year. Jeongin was considered the scariest bully in the entire freshman year. Which of course was all just a rumor. Jeongin only had that title because his fox eyes made others feel like he would wring their neck if they so much as looked at him. Jeongin suffered a bit from the title because that's why no one wanted to be his friend. No matter how hard Jeongin tried, they all ran away screaming or crying. But Chan saw more in the boy. He saw a good heart when he saw Jeongin playing with a cat on the school grounds. Or a kind and nice young man when he helped an old lady across the street and a cute little fox when he saw Jeongin giving his freshly bought ice cream to a crying girl he happened to meet. Of course, Chan wasn't spying on the boy, but Jeongin was very interesting and he really wanted to get to know the boy.
So one day he decided to just talk to the boy and in fact Jeongin was an innocent soul who was just desperate for friends. Jeongin and Chan became friends very quickly and so Chan introduced him to the others. Jeongin became the sixth member in the group. That means there were six of them after Jeongin joined. Back then the group consisted of Chan, Minho, Jisung, Seungmin, Changbin and Jeongin. Chan felt so completed, proud and happy. He had five mates... one pack... and he was the packs Alpha... a task he would never have imagined himself capable of.
And that's why he tries to prove to himself every day that he can protect his pack like a real alpha. And in order to protect their pack, they also have to protect those they want to court. Chan doesn't give up on Felix. Not before Felix gets to know him and the others properly. He knows that Felix has been through a lot, but he also knows that the boy shouldn't fight this demons alone. Chan had Minho... Jisung... Seungmin... Changbin... Jeongin and Hyunjin helping him. They all had their own shadows to jump over, but they all also had each other.
Chan isn't giving up yet. And so he runs through the night, he runs through the park, through the closed weekly market, into the alleys and then into the residential area that is not so familiar to him. Seungmin and Jeongin stop at the main street and look at their leader, who stops right behind them. "And now? Where does he live?" an impatient Jeongin asks and Chan can understand his unrest. Jeongin is always immediately worried when one of his mates is injured or suffering. And right now Jisung is suffering and he is suffering because Felix is suffering from pain. "The principal said his house number is 16..." Chan simply says and the two boys immediately run in different directions. To be honest, Chan doesn't like it at all, but he also knows that this is the quickest way for them to find the house. So Chan also starts looking and hopes that they will find the house quickly.

"-lix? Fel-? Felix?" someone shouts directly into Felix's ear, startling the boy from his sleep. Felix immediately sits up, but immediately regrets it when he feels the throbbing headache again. Felix tries to wipe the remaining sleep from his eyes. He Confused, he looks for the owner of the frantic voice and finds three people standing in front of him. 'Chan... Seungmin... Jeongin...?' Felix asks himself and looks at the shocked faces of the boys. Chan is the first to sit next to Felix and takes the boy's hand in his own. "How are you?" Chan asks, even though he knows that Felix will not answer him verbally. Felix just shakes his head painfully and that's enough of a sign for Chan that Felix isn't feeling well.
"I know you're still a little out of it, but we should take you to our house. You need peace and quiet and someone to care for you," Seungmin suggests, hoping that Felix agrees to his suggestion. Felix actually knows why he ran away and why he wanted to be alone. But he can also remember the dream. 'Be strong and accept their help and love'. His mother is right... just like she always was right. Felix finally has to trust the boys. They've never hurt him and somehow he trusts them. Felix nods slightly and tries to get up, but Jeongin pushes Chan and Seungmin aside and picks the boy up bridal style. Felix looks at him with wide and surprised eyes. "You shouldn't be on your feet. Get some rest. We'll wake you up then," says Jeongin and Felix nods slightly again. He lays his head on Jeongin's chest and closes his eyes, but he's not tired, but he still enjoys the closeness and the warmth.
"I'll call Changbin. He and Hyunjin should pick us up in the car," Chan says and the two pack members nod in agreement. Jeongin and Seungmin go into the living room and sit on the sofa. They watch the boy who's sleeping. After a few minutes, Chan comes back and sits down with a smile on the other side of Jeongin so that he can be close to Felix. It doesn't take long until Changbin and Hyunjin knock on the door and they drive back home together. "Hyunjin, would you please let Minho and Jisung know we're back," Chan says to the beta, who immediately ran off. It doesn't take long before the three come running back into the living room. Jisung doesn't seem to be in much pain anymore, which means Felix must be better too.
"He looks very tired. We should all go to sleep now. We can always talk tomorrow," Minho suggests and the others all agree. But no one really wants to leave Felix because they are afraid that he will run away again as soon as he wakes up. So they decide to lay in Minho's bed together since his is the biggest. "I know it's not the best occasion, but I love our puppy pile's," says Jisung with a big grin and cuddles up to his moon soulmate, who has since fallen asleep. "And I've told you a thousand times that its not a puppy pile", complains Seungmin from the other side. But the other one just giggles and then closes his eyes too. And so they all fall asleep safely, happy to be all together again... even Changbin is happier than he's ever been.
