Jack felt hopeless as he walked down the halls the anger that had built up inside him since Pitch had consumed his mind still lingered and it wasn't at his wife it was at Pitch and at himself. He never meant any harm to come to the love of his life, yet everything had gone wrong. Maybe it was the fact that he this never-ending feeling deep down in his gut that this was just the beginning of his marriage problems. The truth was that Pitch had wedged himself between the two of them and that'll be everything hes always wanted from the start, he'd never wanted them to be together and that was for a reason because they could destroy him... Together. The tears ran down his cheeks never ending as he walked into his chambers looking around and seeing the balcony windows open. For the first time in a while, he felt himself again seeing the colour again and not just darkness spiralling in his mind. He could see the memories so closely to his mind that burned into his soul it hurt. He wished how he could feel her hand in his or to feel his lips pressed against hers just to know that there was hope for it all to go back to the way it once was. Even if it meant going into the battlefield with her or not, he would do anything to help her including sacrificing himself again for the love that they shared. Maybe she would never forgive him and that was okay because he didn't know if he could forgive himself after the things he had done. He looked up at the blue sky he heard the sound of footsteps behind him and when turned around in the same direction they were coming from he didn't expect to see Kristoff standing there.
Kristoff "I thought you could do with someone to talk to, you look like you've seen better things" he said sweetly.
Jack "You could say that I've had better days than this. I know I've messed up I just don't know how to set it right"?
Kristoff "Yes, I've heard about what happened Anna told me, I guess she just needs some time to get passed this".
Jack "But how long is that going to be? I feel like I'm falling apart without her.... it's like a never-ending nightmare and I'm waiting to wake up and her to be there for everything that I've done to not to true.... I don't even know who I am without her...." He sobs a little.
Kristoff "Jack I know you're not a bad person and I know that Pitch nuzzled his way into your head, I know that you love Elsa with all your heart you just need to let her get over this of what's happened".
Jack "I don't even know if she still wants to be with me....and I wouldn't blame her if she didn't after the things I did I would hate me too and I do I can't believe I tried to kill her or my son...."
Kristoff" Pitch was in your head how can you blame yourself for what he did to you? You sacrificed yourself in order for your son to live I would say that's a pretty big thing to do and if some day she can't forgive you for everything that's happened then it's just not meant to be but, I know she loves you and that she needs space to collect her thoughts right now".
Just when Jack was about to speak once again the young princess burst through the big oak doors, holding a book in her hand as she tried to catch her breath hands to her knees. Kristoff rushes over to his wife placing a hand on her shoulder while he smiles at her with his baby brown eyes.
Anna "Wow I really need to start running more" she said still panting while clutching onto a book.
Jack knew the princess all too well and if she wasn't here to kill him after everything that happened, he would be surprised. Anna looked up after regaining her breath, giving Jack the glare of death telling him that he was in trouble and that he should probably run since the princess had a pretty strength hit.
Anna "Jack as much as I want to kill you right now, I'm actually here to help you" she said softening her glare towards him.
Jack "I don't deserve it" he looked down at the floor feeling guilty.
Anna "You might not think you do but, you love each other, and Pitch got inside your head". She said handing her husband the book and walking towards him and giving him a hug.
Jack pulls away from the hug as a few tears drop down from his rosey cheeks. The warm feeling that he had desperately needed since coming back from the darkness that had consumed him under pitch's influence, is what he had wanted the minute he saw his wife standing before his eyes and now that they were barely on speaking terms with one another he didn't know when or where he was going to get that feeling back. He didn't know how long it would be before he got to feel the warmth of his wife's skin on his again or even when he would be able to kiss her lips. Even her presents these days made him fill with sadness and he couldn't get passed the feeling of his gut wrenching every time she fled from his eyes. He wanted to run to her and then let her fall into his arms feeling the love they both shared for one another as they had the day they'd met, but it didn't matter because he'd messed up he shouldn't have gone that night and even though he kept thinking of the same thing repeatedly in his mind there was nothing that could change it, it was in the past and now he had to face the consequences. And I suppose it doesn't matter because in the end it all hurts the same whether she forgave him or not. Jack looked up from the floor snapping out of his thoughts as his sister-in-law caught his eyes once again frowning at him with sorrow.
Anna "She loves you; you know?"
Jack "Right now I wish that were true, I don't even think I could forgive me if I were in Elsa's shoes. She's right how can she trust me after everything ive done? I may have been under Pitches spell but that doesn't mean I could have fought harder to resist the urge of his power".
Anna "It's not your fault Jack how were you supposed to know he was going to trick you?" She said sadly.
Jack walked to the bed sitting down on the edge of it, Anna sits beside him while Kristoff kneels down in front of them both.
Jack "I should have known better Anna...."
Kristoff "But how could you had known better? You weren't yourself you said yourself that you were under a spell." He questions.
Anna "I can sit here all day and night that you've just got to give each other time before things pass with what's happened, however I've got something to help you which I found" she says taking the book from Kristoff who stood up.
Anna flipped the book open running her fingers through the pages until she lands onto a certain page. Jack and Kristoff shovelled themselves closer to see what her eyes had landed up on until she looked up both at them.
Anna "North told you there was a prophecy correct?" She questioned.
Jack "Yeah what about it?"
Anna "Well obviously your son was supposed to defeat Pitch".
Jack "But that was altered when I died when I went after him, so there can't be any more excuses for the prophecy to come true".
Kristoff "Wait so you changed the prophecy? How is that even possible?" He asked Shockley.
Jack "Yeah, I did change it. But the real question is why do you ask anyways Anna?"
Anna "Well I'm thinking your both very powerful what's to stop him from you guys taking him down altogether? I mean the baby isn't even born yet and Elsa will be even stronger with your sons' powers too".
Jack "Okay your right I mean we would be really powerful together, but he probably already knows that".
Anna "He probably does yes which is more advantage for us to use it, he'll be scared knowing you guys are powerful, the only thing that troubles me is that Elsa still struggles to control the baby making her lose control of her powers."
Jack sighs letting out a release.
Jack "And we let her walk into a battle she could get herself killed I don't want that, I still love her and I always will shes my wife. I don't want anything to happen to her"
Anna "I don't want her to get hurt either and I know what shes like she stubborn and she won't take no for an answer even if we told her so, we cant have her marching in after Pitch especially with the baby"
Kristoff "What does it say in the book?"
Anna "Well it tells us the prophecy I can't believe ive never seen it before, I was in here too as a child not as much as Elsa. But I still read stories to occupy myself. When I read it though it made me think.... I've already said that you're both powerful so what if the prophecy could be changed again?"
Jack "So you're saying if me and Elsa worked together, we could change the prophecy and defeat Pitch?"
Anna "I think so" she said looking back at him with her eyes glazed like glass.
Jack "Then let's change it" he said standing tall off the bed.
Suddenly the door flew open, and a blonde-haired Elsa stared back at all the people surrounded her bed chambers. Seeing her sister and brother-in-law standing beside Jack she knew all too well that they were up to something without failure.
Elsa "What's going on?" She said stunned.
Anna stood up from the edge of the bed patting down her skirt from her green dress, seeing her sister stare back at her with those hollow eyes as she saw the sadness building up within her.
Anna "I was just showing them something I found".
Elsa "Oh what did you find?" She asked walking closer.
Anna looked at the two guys then back at her sister who knew they were hiding something from her she could sense it from across the room.
Elsa "Okay what is going on? I can sense you're not telling me something for a reason."
Anna "Well I know what you're like I don't want you running into something without thinking first".
Elsa "Anna I don't even know what you're going on about what did you find?"
Anna "The prophecy......"
Elsa "How did you? ..... find it? I've been in that library so many times and I've never found anything before".
Anna "I don't know Elsa but, I did, and I was thinking even though the prophecy has already changed, I wonder if it could be changed again? With you and Jack fighting together as one?"
Elsa "Change the prophecy? Again? Won't he see this coming?"
Anna "I think that's why hes hiding he knows how powerful all three of you are together you'll be unstoppable"?
Elsa "And that's what makes this even more dangerous, we can't".
Jack "Why not?"
Elsa "What if one of us gets hurt?"
Jack "Then I'll protect you, and I'll do anything to help stop him I'll even go myself if I have to".
Elsa "And look where that got us last time.... I was left alone to think you were dead...."
Jack "And I can't tell you how sorry I am for that. Look the only way we're going to be able to do this is if we work together and if we can't do that then I'm going alone."
Elsa sighed looking at floor and then to her husband standing in front of her, her sister folded her arms and her brother-in-law stood beside her sister. They all stared back at the young queen waiting for her to make her decision and it was a hard one how was she supposed to make the right one without throwing either one of them both into danger if she went, she would be and if she didn't, she had the risk of losing her et husband all over again. She twiddled her thumbs in anticipation looking to the floor again as her head swirled with unanswered questions from her own mind. And that's when she looked up with all their eyes on hers.
Elsa "Fine... we'll work together".
Jack "Good, but in one condition?"
Elsa "And what's that?" She folded her arms.
Jack "You don't do anything radical your still in a fragile condition if anything happens you have to let me know"
Elsa rolled her eyes, looking around the room.
Elsa "Fine I promise but only if you don't get yourself killed again"
Jack "I'll try not too" he smiled.
Elsa "Don't push it Frost". She said rolling her eyes again.
