A cold vampire and a human as cold as her.
Both of them seemed to be born without any emotions.
Most of the people in their surroundings thought that they were scary and heartless, but on the battlefield everybody looked at them in astonishment and jealousy.
Both of them fought with passion, elegance and you could almost call it love.
The two people were no one else then Y/n L/n and Horn Skuld.
She thought that humans were useless creatures and only in the way while the male on the other hand believed that every vampire needs to be murdered to clean and free the world again.
They were like night and day but also like ying and yang.
Horn and Y/n couldn't live neither with nor without each other.
They needed the constant fight, which (people started to belive) was their very own love language.
"I can't wait till you die and leave me alone forever."
"I can't wait till my swords cuts you into tiny little pieces while you beg for mercy."
"Is that your special kink, Y/n?"
"Do you want to find out?"
It could have been a try to flirt with her, if it wasn't for his straight and neutral expression.
According to Guren, Y/n wasn't even funny because the man couldn't decide if his emotionless colleague made a joke or not and before he hurt his poor head overthinking it, he decided not to laugh.
Guren and Y/n where currently out on a mission with Shinya.
Some people said that they saw vampires in an old ruin but before anyone could say something, the trio ran out of the house in excitement. Well two of them while the third one was more dragged to the ruin than anything else.
The so called 'boys nights' ended mostly with an injured Guren, a happy Shinya who laughed at Guren and cherished the new photos he got, while Y/n was busy with helping the injured man walk back.
It never was boring in the slightest and even Y/n had a little fun what of course nobody saw since his face was straight like a ruler.
This night however should end differently because of a blonde vampire.
"Like usual?" Shinya looked around in a careful manner.
"Yes, you take the middle while I take the right." Guren's teeth almost shone in the dark because of his big grin.
"...and I take the left side as usual, eventhough I don't have a good feeling this night. But who am I talking to? A wall would understand me better then these two idiots."
With a sigh Y/n made his way to the left side of the building and eyed his surroundings very carefully.
He was filled with distrust and when he spotted a shadow a few metres in front of him he knew that this was the cause of his odd feeling.
"Y/n L/n. I thought you were dead but that would have been a pity, right? Who would fight and flirt with me at the same time while cosplaying a stone? Right, nobody."
Horn Skuld stepped into the moonlight that shone through the broken windows.
Her beauty was breathtaking and Y/n felt his heart rate speeding up.
Of course it was because of the adrenaline that build up before a fight.
"You should dissappear with your 'friends' before we will murder them and you."
His e/c eyes sparkled a bit in the moonlight and made the vampire curious of how something so ordinary could spark her interest and be so pretty.
If Y/n would have been a vampire, Skuld would have found a potential partner for her everlasting life. Unfortunately she fell in love with the human in front of her as soon as she saw him and since this day she wanted him dead.
She don't wanted to be reminded of how unfair life could be so she appeared every now and then in a battle to try her luck.
She failed miserably every time because of his (in her eyes) flawless personality that prevented her from doing the last strike.
"I will not disappear."
That was everything he said while his hand suddenly held a sword.
"Well, then you have chosen death," She jumped on Y/n but luckily he could block her attack and found an opening. Before he could land a strike she changed her position and pushed him on a wall.
"Have you ever asked yourself what would have happened if I were a human?"
Skuld glanced at Y/n's lips but before she could do anything else, the male turned her around so that the vampire was now trapped between the wall and Y/n.
"Yes."
That was everything and Horn slowly started to get frustrated with his dull and short answers.
Well, in the first line she was the one who began a small talk but that didn't mean that Y/n could not answer properly.
"Why are you so emotionless? You are the only human who can make me really angry because you annoy the living shit out of me with that side of yours! You are like all the other humans useless and -"
Y/n pressed his lips on hers and grabbed her waist.
Horn skuld really loved and hated him in a way. In one moment he is able to have a variety of emotions like a wall, but in the other moment he could show how much he feels without saying anything.
Maybe it was just something unknown to Skuld which was for sure the reason why she felt like somebody tickled her every time she saw Y/n.
The male took the blondes face in his hands while Horn decided to wrap her arms around his waist, closing her eyes and to just simply enjoy the moment.
Both of them seemed to have forgotten the wish to see each others death body on the floor and so they continued to kiss.
Her hands found their way under his uniform in a try to feel every inch of his skin with her fingertips. Horn felt him shiver when she lightly scratched her nails over his skin.
"You seem to like it."
Her lips formed a smirk as the male stared at her swollen lips. The woman on the other hand pulled him closer.
"Only when you do it but you seem to enjoy yourself as much as I do."
Y/n started to trace kisses down her jawline and her neck.
The vampire in front of him pressed herself even more against him and let out a small moan while throwing her neck back to give his mouth access to her neck.
She wouldn't gonna like. She not only enjoyed it, she loved it maybe even more then their fights.
When she moaned his name into the silence Y/n grabbed one of her breasts and cupped it slightly through her clothes.
Skuld's fingers found the way to her enemies back and in a motion of ecstasy she accidentally scratched his back until she felt some of his blood under her fingertips.
"If you want a taste then lick your fingers. Your eyes betrayed you, darling."
At the nickname her heart fluttered and because she couldn't resist, she licked her fingers.
"You are the tastiest meal I've ever tried. Delicious ~"
Her mouth found his neck and sucked on it. Y/n moved his head to the side but still payed attention that she wouldn't drink from him.
"Don't worry, sweetheart. I won't bite you now. Your friends are still here and I think they are calling out your name. What a pity that our time is over."
She leaned against the wall and traced circles on Y/n's clothed chest.
"I hope I got to kill or kiss you the next time we face each other. See you then, Y/n."
Before she could disappear into the darkness, Y/n grabbed her wrist and puller her close to him one last time.
"You won't kill me because of several reasons. Goodbye."
He pecked her on the lips and ob her forehead before he made his way to Guren and Shinya.
"That stupid human boy..."
He loved her for that.
Y/n met his friends outside who mustered him in confusion.
"Did something happen to you? Your hair is really messy as well as your clothes."
Guren leaned against a tree while Shinya scanned Y/n thoroughly.
"It must be something good because you are smiling a little...Do you think he gets sick, Guren?"
The dark haired male shrugged his shoulders and walked to Shinya in an attempt to lean on him for support because his leg was slightly injured again.
"Nothing unusual happened but what did happen to Guren?"
Instead of Shinya, Y/n took out a camera to take some embarrassing photos of his two friends.
Shinya answered with a chuckled while he rolled his eyes.
"You know how he is. Clumsy as ever he stepped on a stone and in an attempt to find his balance, he scratched himself with his own sword."
"I am not clumsy!"
On their way home Guren and Shinya argued while Y/n threw a look at the ruin again.
Horn stood on the highest point of the ruin and waved him a goodbye but when he closed his eyes for a tiny second she already was away and he was left with the question if everything that happened was real.
Because everything that happened with her felt like a long awaited dream.
