You all but dragged y/n to your room.
"Are you crazy?"
"If the cullens figure out your gift they will stop at nothing until they get you."
"Alec we don't even know if it will work. If they've gathered as many people as Aro thinks we need every advantage we can get."
"How are you supposed to hide, the mind reader will be able to figure it out."
"Well, Aro said he would gather his own witnesses. They don't have to know about my gift. You guys need to focus on literally anything else and that should buy me time."
"Wish you could make everyone's thoughts louder, that would confuse the hell out of them."
Y/ns eyes went wide. "Alec. That's genius. Come on." Just as quickly as you had drug her in, she was dragging you back out. She took you back into the room where Aro, Caius and Marcus were discussing.
"Can I try something?" Y/n asked excitedly.
"What would you like to try my dear?" Aro asked
"I don't know if this will work but could you grab someone's hand and read their thoughts?"
"I'm sorry?"
"Please I just want to try something. Or if you can try it with several people that would be even better."
"I'll give you my hand brother." Caius spoke, seeming to catch onto what y/n was thinking.
"Alright. Alec. Would you mind?"
Not like you had a choice but you held out your hand. It wasn't long before jerked his hand away from the two of you. His hands flew to his head.
"Did it work?" Y/n asked
"Oh yes."
"I'm sorry," you started, "what just happened?"
"Y/ns gift extends farther than we thought. She was able to somehow make your thoughts quite loud. It's as if you were screaming at me."
"Interesting." Caius drawled, "we are assuming this works on the mind reader."
"We are assuming a lot brother. Bella might not even be a shield, however probable it is. We need to have a backup plan. We leave in two weeks, I need to collect my own witnesses, quickly." He turned to look at Y/n, "we will make sure you are covered. They shouldn't be able to know about your gifts until much later."
Y/n nodded. And the two of you began to prepare for your journey. The weeks seemed to drag on. Everyone was on edge. Felix was halfway hoping for a fight. Demetri sensed there was more than just witnesses for the fight. And he was right.

You'd almost forgot the whole goal of your gift when you saw the wolves. Heidi stood next to you and squeezed your arm. You began focusing on the group. The whole group. Not only them but their thoughts. You started with Bella, thank god it worked. You saw her shaking her head to try and focus herself. That's all it took for your gift to spread.
Edward was so easy to break. He began yelling, "everyone stop talking!"
"No one is saying anything Edward." Carlisle tried to calm him, shame he seemed nice, no wonder aro liked him.
Edwards eyes were a pitch black. He was ready to attack. You focused on everyone's thoughts more so than their surroundings. Make Edward seem unstable, with that many voices he shouldn't be able to find you.
"MAKE IT STOP." Not only was he freaking out but wolves began circling. It was making the others anxious. They began clawing at their ears.
"Edward?"
"STOP YELLING!" He stalked towards Bella before Carlisle put a hand on him to push him back.
You saw the small child scared. Carlisle looked at Aro. Then back at one of his coven members who dragged Edward out of there. The wolves began trying to escape the noises inside their head. They began speaking about how the child came to be. Half vampire? It didn't seem possible. Aro motioned for you to come forward. You could see Alec tense up. He told you to ease up on everyone but Bella. Easy enough, she just had to be distracted enough to not be able to shield anyone.
You could see other covens talking to a woman, apologizing. Then leaving. It happened so often that the only groups left were the denalis and the Romanians. Two of the Egyptian members stayed but only for a moment, the younger man was too worried about his mate to risk her life. You were zoning out, you could see Bella keep trying to steel herself. Maybe trying to get her shield to work, it didn't matter, everytime she would try and focus you raised the amount you gift affected her. You hadn't noticed that Caius was leading Irina up to the front.
After it was decide she had lied, Felix had to take care of her. The other blonds from the denalis rushed toward us. Jane stopped the one with the straight hair immediately, it made the other one pause. The wolves hadn't been aware of Jane until then. You saw the brown one turn around and snarl but the others began retreating.
"No please!" Bella cried to them, it was no use.
"Jane?" Aro said and the straight haired blond dropped to the floor. When the blondes retreated Aro spoke again.
You were surprised when Aro made them an offer. "Darling Bella, we mean you no harm here. However due to the circumstances, I suggest you take the offer I'm about to give." Bella nodded, she had seemed so confident when she walked into the clearing. Now all you saw was a mouse. Aro continued. "You and the child will come with us to Volterra. I'm sure I don't need to tell you the alternative."
"What about..." her mate? The one that almost lost it on her like 5 minutes ago?
"Just the two of you." Bella looked at Carlisle for help but honestly Aro was being extremely generous. The brown wolf growled. As if he was waiting for Bella to decline. Bella looked back at the wolf. Then to Carlisle one last time.
"It's actually a fair offer Bella." Back to the wolf.
"Sorry Jake." She whispered.
You knew what was going to happen. He tried to run towards your coven. You focused all of your gift on him. He couldn't ignore the ringing in his head. He was itching all over. The sun was suddenly way too bright. Bella began freaking out.
"I said I would go!"
"If you don't call off you dog we will take care of him ourselves." Caius snarled. Your gift intensified even more. He began phasing back to human. Probably trying to quiet the all the noise. The remaining vampires looked at the losing battle and finally retreated. All that was left were the cullens. Aro held his hand up to stop your gift on the shapeshifter.
Felix and Demetri grabbed Bella so she wouldn't escape. The child looked terrified and you couldn't deny it made your heart hurt. You leant down to talk to her.
"Would you like to come with me? Nothings going to happen to you. Not while you're with me." The little one nodded and held your hand. The kings nodded at you and everyone turned around to return home.
Turns out Bella wasn't all that sure how to be a decent mom without her family helping to take care of her daughter. Ness was nice enough and she tended to stick close to you. Bella was trained to take her shield down almost immediately. Aros threats to her family was a big motivator. Once the shield was down long enough Chelsea was used on Bella.
You weren't a fan of that. You stayed clear of Chelsea ever since your arrival and now you were conflicted on her abilities. She just found cracks in your prior relationships and made them bigger and likewise she found the good parts and made them better too.
The Cullens were quick to try and make amends. Rosalie especially was desperate to be a part of renesmes life. None of them were very happy to see Renesme enjoying the human diet. Carlisle was desperate to keep his family together but Bella's husband made it difficult. They couldn't even bring him the first time they visited. Aro couldn't keep granting Carlisle favors, and Renesme wasn't allowed to leave Volterra. Not that she really wanted to leave, and with Bella finally seeing the cullens for who they were they didn't stand a chance.
Edward wasnt as easily deterred. He was determined to get Bella back. Bella had seen Edwards true colors and now had strengthened her shield enough to where his gift was rendered useless. The only thing worse to him than an overwhelming amount of noice was deafening silence. He knew his every move was being watched so every few years he would try and win Bella back again.
Missions were easy it wasn't hard to make an unruly crowd of vampires stop for you. Nevertheless, Alec never strayed from your side. Jane eventually opened up to why she was so upset her brother found a mate before her. You two quickly became friends, which was a great relief for Alec because the tension between his two favorite people have him a whole different level of anxiety.
Renesme grew on everyone quickly. Part of her gift apparently. No one minded she was the most curious and had the most fun in the castle. Felix had become her confidant for pranks and any thing fun she wanted to try. Demetri and Heidi had to basically become their babysitters. Well, also yours because Renesme insisted you partake and you couldn't really say no. Which meant Alec got roped in too. It could easily become chaos.
When Renesme would sleep Alec loved to steal you away and the two of you would leave the castle and find somewhere you hadn't been. You couldn't believe how quickly your life had changed. You gone from being a human to vampire. From newborn to warrior. From alone to loved. You wouldn't trade it for anything. You thanked whoever was out there every day that you said yes to Alec when he asked you to return to Volterra with him. It was the best decision you ever made.
