CH 106 Meeting of the Gods

Bởi BoreasHimFuckingSelf

Boreas Pov:

I stepped through a portal of swirling frost, and a large round table appeared in the center. Hephaestus, the god of craftsmanship and smiths, meticulously made it out of marble. He crafted the room with large marble pillars supporting it.

There was a multitude of art on the roof depicting the stories of the gods, us forming the multiverse and filling it with life, nature, fire, and brimstone.

I took my place, summoning the throne that bore my insignia. Its appearance is the same as the throne I had conjured for the individual I blessed.

I watched as numerous other portals opened and steeping through were other gods. We had been ordered to meet after my sister, Brigid, had told the king of gods, Odin, of the world I had meddled in to aid my Champion, Alexander Shard, as he called himself now.

On the other side, a portal opened, which depicted the hellscape of war, stepped the God of war, Ares. He donned gloriously crafted golden armour that reflected his blond hair and crimson red silken cloths draped over his waist and across the shoulders, accentuating his red eyes and the pelt of a lion he wore as a cape.

He was eight feet tall, and his body could only be considered that of a brute, with well-defined and toned muscles riddled with scars, be it self-inflicted or by one of his scuffles with his children. Although his body wouldn't make you think he was as deft or as swift as he was, only Hermes could outspeed him.

He sat down to my right on a throne made of swords and adorned with the hides of numerous beasts he slew from an infinite number of wars and worlds.

"The ever cold Boreas finally blessing someone after eternity is quite the surprise." Ares' rough voice echoed through the hall as the others looked at him from a distance.

"Be silent, warmonger. I see you slightly had the decency to clean the blood from your armour." The motherly voice of my sister chilled him as she sat next to me. Her throne was a gentle flame that gave off a warm and rejuvenating aura that was oddly comfortable despite the fact I did not like heat.

My sister's appearance was much different from mine. Her features were gentle compared to mine. She looked like a mother that worked with fire because of her soft features, green eyes, and auburn hair,

That matched her domain as the Goddess of Fire. She behaved like the typical gentle and warm mother that the humans had depicted her as after the few times she interacted with them.

Across the table sat Hephaestus atop a throne of unparalleled craftsmanship, intricate designs, engraved metal, and made of the most annoying materials to work with, even for us gods. It was the most beautiful object in all the universes.

His appearance was both refined and eccentric. His fine grey coat had fur and metal armour sown onto it. He designed his clothes to protect him from all the harsh environments he visited to gather his materials.

He refused to use his divinity to protect him on those journeys saying that it would degrade the quality of the material. As crazy as it sounded, I did not voice my opinion, as I could do nothing but take his word for it. He was, after all, the god of craftsmanship.

Hephaestus had dark sunken in silver eyes from the sleepless nights he had crafting his works, be it a weapon, armour, or anything we might need. His hair grey was frizzled and topped with black ash from the fires of hell that he must have visited recently.

"Yes, I suppose I should have cleaned up my appearance more... Tis a shame." He mused while playing with the burned tips of his hair.

Brigid teleported through an ember of fire from Heapestus hair, appearing next to him, "I can help you with that~," she spoke in a gentle tone, quickly removing all evidence of the fact his hair burned in the first place.

"Thank you, Brigid, that's enough. It looks good enough for me," Hephaestus nodded.

"Nope, I'm trimming it." She insisted as she pulled out a pair of scissors and got to work cleaning up his appearance.

Next to him sat Silvanus, the goddess of nature. She did not have a throne but nearly sat atop a wicker chair floating above the earthen floors supported by a few vines. She wore brilliant silken white robes that showed off too many of her curves and her skin for my tastes.

There were only six in the room, excluding the one hiding like his nature depicted. The rest of the gods probably chose not to come or were too busy, so only we were present.

Hearing the bang of a spear, we looked to the right and saw Odin holding his spear with a much larger and opulent throne than the others, excluding Haphaestus'. He had one eye and grey hear that proved how ancient of a god he was

"Now, Boreas, we would like to know why exactly you intervened so much." His booming voice echoed throughout the silent meeting room.

"You could tell just by glancing at the overview of the story that I reincarnated him into," I replied as Chronos, who only now just showed up, suddenly walked in accompanied by the chiming of numerous clocks.

"Yes, the future that boy has is quite entertaining. I asked Thoth for the outline of the world on my way here." He mused, slapping down a copy of the book on the table before he disappeared through a portal as fast as he appeared.

Thoth, the god of writers, was quite the eccentric one. No story to ever exist, both past and present, wasn't made by him. He merely blessed or bestowed the stories to authors he deemed worthy. Even the world Alexander is in now is just a world that already existed. That world was intriguing for him, and he saw its future with the help of his brother, Chronos, and gave the idea to an author.

Alexander still thinks this world was a novel and that I created it to fulfill his wishes. Little does he know that this world already existed.

That said, the world he is living in is very much real, and it is much harder to change it without repercussions as he had believed.

"Must he always do that?" Silvanus sighed, looking at one of her plants that had aged just from him walking past her.

"He's the god of time, so probably not." Hephaestus facepalmed.

We have all read the original story of The Beginning After The End and the version Alexander is within. All the outcomes that would come in the future, and the possibility had he acted sooner or in a different manner. The outcomes could be both good and bad.

"Hmm, yes, I can understand why you were this interested with the mortal, Boreas," Odin nodded.

"Yes, it really is quite interesting. Had Alexander not have had your blessing, I might have done it myself." Ares jeered after seeing the kill count that he could ammas in the next year alone. "Fortunately, there is someone else as interesting as him, if not even more."

"I have a proposal, Odin," Silvanus spoke up. Our king didn't speak but gestured for her to continue.

"I cannot stand for the destruction of the Forest of Elenoir as well as the enslavement of the elves that tend to it, so I vote that we allow Boreas to intervene if needed," Silvanus suggested.

"Yes, with how much this world has piqued our interest, it would be a shame if we don't make things more interesting." Hephaestus nodded along.

"Boreas, you are free to act as you have before, but do not tell Alexander. Things would get boring if he knew you could act freely now." Odin voiced his verdict on the topic.

"I see your reasoning. It is fair." I agreed.

"Yes, another user of shadow magic. I quite like this." A familiar voice spoke up from the shadow cast by Ares' throne.

With a flick of his wrist, Ares launched the God of shadows from the writhing mass of black behind him. His features were vaguely canine with blackened eyes and long dark hair.

"Erebus, next time, just make yourself known at the start." Brigid sighed.

"Fine, fine, I will." He sighed, fading back into the shadows.

Sulivan Snowcrest Pov:

"Hey, aren't you the Third in command of the Frostborn's?" A gruff voice questioned me from the adjacent cell.

"Yea that's me, Also aren't you guys and the rest of you guys from the other Paladins units as well?" I asked looking throw the steel bars of our cells under where ever the hell we are.

"Yes, most of us are. I saw a few familiar faces who weren't part of our units as well." The gruff voice answered.

"Who's unit are you from?" I asked as I spat some blood from my mouth from the beating I had received earlier.

"Arthur Lewin's."The gruff voice called out

"Alexander Shard's" Two voices called out that I found familiar.

"Claire Bladeheart's" a Sultry voice answered despite the torture chamber and prison cells we had been well acquainted with.

"Looks like we all have our fair share of stories and know-how to fight well enough." one of the fellow members of the Firstborns called out.

"Your names were Jacub Cutter and Micky Cutter right?" I asked the familiar-looking mages through the

"Yep that's Us, I'm Micky in case it's too dim for you to tell," he called out, From the Light producing artifacts on the wall I could faintly make out their Brown eyes and Ashen hair.

"Don't mind my Idiot of a brother." The one named Jacub cutter grunted slipping his hand out the mana restraining shackle to punch his brother in the face. before promptly slipping it back in the shackle.

"Wait can't you just slip out of here Jacob? Also, the name's Dylan" The gruff voice introduced himself, Although I couldn't see him from the dark spot I was in.

"Every Frostborn easily could slip out of these, Did the other paladin's not teach you guys how to?" Micky deadpanned him, slipping his hand before slugging his brother in the jaw as payback.

"It seems Alexander cares deeply for his men~." the Sultry voice belongs to the middle-aged woman in the cell across from us.

I had flashbacks of the Frozen hellscape he trained us in, The hours of torture that he called "Interrogation Resistance training", the feeling of having our limbs torn off, burned, frozen, electrified, beaten.

And the extreme sleep deprivation and rage we felt when we fought hoards of Ice Golems. The psychological torture and Physical conditioning we received to relocate and dislocate our joints at will to escape the shackles as well as any other restraints he could think of.

"he had the intention to help but from the original group of 200 of us only 50 made it through those 10 months of hell." Jacob recounted our time in the Stasis Orb.

"W-Wha-? what did he even do?!" She stammered out completely baffled.

"Yea now that they mentioned it they barely flinched, and Sulivan tore a chunk out of a guy's arm and ate the fucking thing," Dylan spoke at the newfound revelation.

"You wouldn't even believe us if we told you." I Sighed.

The two others not being Frostborns were baffled at us being practically prepared for this situation like it was our job. I found out the pretentiously seductive woman's name was Veronica Grephin and was the Lance Aya's younger sister.

We planned to escape when the guards were rotated out which according to Dylan who had been here the longest knew was coming up in roughly a week, we bided our time memorizing the layout of the guards and the position of the gates based on the sound; Veronica had learned how to slip her hands out of the mana restraining shackles after a bit of practice.

Well, that's women for you, more flexible than us men nine times out of ten, well it at least made it easier for us when it was time for our escape. a few days passed with them torturing us but although I hate to say it my pain tolerance after Alexander's training made it feel like paper cuts and slaps.

the day of our escape was a few days off but we could tell it was happening soon based on the amount of activity from the guards dwindling.

Clack!

Our heads snapped to look at the door that was kicked open, A fat pig of a guard threw a young girl into one of the cells next to us. her eyes were kittenlike hazel eyes, with long hair brown hair.

"UNHAND ME YOU PIG!!" she shouted kicking him away.

"Fiesty now are we? that's fine I like to break women like you anyways!" he snorted as we heard the ripping of the cloth of her clothes and the jingle of his buckle being undone.

"GET OFF OF ME YOU BASTARD!!!"

--------------------

Arthur Leywin pov:

"I missed you brother!" Ellie squealed as she threw herself around me dragging me to the ground where my mother tackled me to the ground wrapping herself around me.

"I missed you too." I choked out as my lungs were practically crushed after Boo fell flat on me.

The door creaked open as I looked at my father, his face downtrodden and in his hand a crumpled letter bearing the seal of the Helstea's.

"Is something wrong dad?" Ellie asked with a concerned look on her face.

My father Slammed his hand into the wall with an audible crack as the wall was dented in by the force of the strike. "L- Lillia... was captured..."
