We flew under the stars, who knew that the underworld is such a beautiful place when it is at night time? It was like the night sky was reachable. The stars and southern lights were very visible. It was so beautiful.
He was holding my hand, and he still is, while we're flying.
I was gazing up in the sky.
"Who knew that the underworld has such pretty night skies." I whispered.
"I created it for the souls whom loved looking at the stars that Hypnos have made. I decided to give them that." He said softly.
"You did a great job. They are beautiful." I stated. Staring at the moving constellations.
Aquarius definitely caught my attention.
"Beautiful indeed." I heard him say.
I looked at him. He smiled when I met his pierced gaze. I couldn't help but blush. He chuckled.
"Hold me tight love, we must go through Tartarus in order to arrive our destination."
My brows furrowed.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
He shook his head.
"Somewhere only we know." He whispered in my ear.
I felt shivers as we were now approaching tartarus. Lava dungeons and never ending torture chambers was present. Burning souls were crying. Cerberus was also present. I hugged Hades nonchalantly. Scared that I might fall because the mist wasn't that big. I heard his light chuckle but when I looked at him there was no chuckle evident on his face.
I thought Tartarus was never ending until we stopped at the mountain of Lava. I looked at Hades suspiciously. Is he going to kill me that's why he was acting weird earlier?
"Are you going to kill me?" I asked in a childish tone.
He laughed.
"No love, I will open a portal." He said.
I just shrugged and continued to hug him. I liked the feeling of my body slammed into his. It was a wonderful feeling. His body heat and mine. He chanted words that I can't understand and a portal indeed opened.
"Hold on love."
He said as we dived in. I couldn't help but to close my eyes. I felt the pressure of entering the portal.
"Open your eyes now love." He said as I felt our feet touched the grass.
My mouth gapped from what I saw.
It was so beautiful. It looked like paradise but night time. Magical creatures were flying around such as fairies and pegasus', unicorns and elves. It looked so magical. It was as if we were inside a fantasy storybook. I didn't know that this kind of place existed.
"Wha—how?" I asked Hades.
He smiled.
"A boy can also dream." He replied.
"C'mon. Let's go up on the great tree of life. I want to show you something." He said. I nodded.
We flew towards the tree of life. It was so beautiful. Huge but beautiful. It had golden woods and stems with silver leaves. We flew to the top wherein it looked like a magical meadow of gold yet they're leaves.
"Isn't this illegal? The tree that has all the lives of creatures tracked is the one we're on top of right now?" I asked him. He chuckled.
"I hold it, therefore it is okay because you are also my queen." With that he kissed the back of my hand.
I have heard about the tree of life. I thought it was a myth. Turns out it wasn't. On top of the tree I was so beauteous. We can see all of the creatures glowing in the night. I looked into Hades' eyes.
"Hade—"
I didn't get to finish my sentence when he hushed me again. My brows furrowed but he motioned upwards. That's when my amazement grew wider. Stars were falling down the sky. A meteor shower. It was so beautiful.
"Don't miss the moment and make a wish my love." He whispered and held both of my hands as he closed his eyes.
I did. I closed my eyes and made my ultimate wish.
'I wish to be genuinely happy with the people I love.' I said quietly.
I opened my eyes and he opened his.
I smiled and he smiled.
"What did you wish for?" I asked.
He looked at me astonished.
"I cannot simply tell you my wish, because it wouldn't be true if I did."
I smirked.
"Who would've thought that the God of the Dead believes in such wishes." I teased.
He held me close to him.
"I believe in such, because I believe in love." He added.
"I presume that you also believe in falling in love." I stated.
"Of course. Something as pure as that should be worthy of believing." He replied lost in my gaze.
I was also lost in his.
"Such a heavy predicament, don't you think?" I asked.
"Not at all my lady."
My heart skipped a beat.
"You mentioned earlier that.. no one else knows about this paradise?"
He nodded.
"Yes, this is where I go whenever the pain that Persephone causes me will come splashing into my heart like the tides crashing to the shore." He replied.
She put him in so much agony. It is so evident.
"Sometimes I asked myself, Did I deserve the pain? But then again all I did was to be good for her. It all went down in flames when I was tired already. I wanted things to end but she..."
He stopped and looked hurt but all I can do is to hug him tighter.
"She put the blame on me. Saying why wasn't I as perfect as Poseidon, as powerful as Zeus, she was the Goddess of spring yet I took it all away from her. She said all she really felt was hatred towards me for keeping her away from her destiny."
"Shhhhh... you don't have to tell me more.. it is alright that I know..." I stated.
Our battles were painful, but we have to move on.
He smiled sadly.
"There are times wherein I assumed that it was really my fault. I have brought this pain to myself—"
"Don't say that! No one chooses to be hurt! It is the people that has intentions of hurting other people's fault. Hurt people hurt people. " I explained.
"You do not deserve half of my affection Vweu." He sad and held my face.
"You deserve everything I have." He added.
"I am and will never be good with words, but let me show you that I finally have the gut to show you who I am and what I truly feel."
Those were his last words before he ended the space between our lips.
