Can I go back to a time when I didn't know people legitimately romanticized, sexualized, and actually CONDONE what serial killers and school shooters did? I would love to. Safer then bleaching my brain which is something I'm seriously having the urge to do right now.
This was inspired by multiple videos by a YouTuber named Savantics who makes me entertaining videos about different things that are WTF worthy:
Warning: Graphic talks Murder and in general screenshots of AO3 FanFiction that are definitely not for younger audiences. Skip this if you aren't 18+
Guys............what the fuck am I doing with my life? That's all I'm wondering after wasting my precious battery time looking up a bit of information for this chapter............
Alright then............WHY THE FUCK IS THERE SMUT FANFICTION ABOUT THE COLUMBINE SHOOTERS?! HOLY SHIT I HAVE NEVER FELT SO GROSSED OUT AND DISGUSTED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE AT THE BERY THOUGHT OF THEM LIKE THAT.
These two fuckers murdered multiple people. They got firearms from they're frankly stupid friend, Robyn Anderson, went to school on April 20th, 1999 and murdered 13 people and injured 24.
These are the names and ages of they're victims:
Cassie Bernall, 17
Steven Curnow, 14
Corey DePooter, 17
Kelly Fleming, 16
Matthew Kechter, 16
Daniel Mauser, 15
Daniel Rohrbough, 15
William "Dave" Sanders, 47
Rachel Scott, 17
Isaiah Shoels, 18
John Tomlin, 16
Lauren Townsend, 18
Kyle Velasquez, 16
They say they don't condone what they did but in my full opinion: if you write smut FanFiction about them, if you write romantic FanFiction about them, if you so much as fucking say "they made a mistake" you are condoning it. These are NOT people to idolize as if they are heroes. They are murderers, I won't even say they're names, that's how much I refuse to even acknowledge them as people.
I will not be showing the author or the name of these stories to avoid giving them literally anymore attention then I already am:
Yes this is an actual thing. People legitimately write SMUT with them together......and I'm pretty sure one of them, the racist one who hated black people and Jews and had VERY awful thoughts about women was homophobic as well............WTAF
Why yes because two people and I use that term loosely, killing multiple people is definitely sweet boys. One of them straight up looked under a desk in the library at Cassie Bernall and said "peek a boo" before shooting her in the head......he looked her in the eye and cold heartily shot her. The other one? Called Isaiah Shoels a racial slur before he tried to pull him from underneath the desk he was hiding under and when he fought back, was killed by the other one........but sure he's a sweet sunshine boy. Isaiah was killed just days before his graduation.
Wow two for the price of one: not only is it completely fucking gross to romanticize him but I HATE the "bully becomes my lover" trope
These are the people who he murdered: Corey Depooter, John Tomln, Lauren Townsend, Matthew Kechter, Kyle Velasquez, Dave Sanders, and Daniel Rohrough...........think about that
People he killed: Rachel Scott, Steve Curnow, Cassie Bernall, Kelly Fleming, Daniel Mauser, Dave Sanders, and Isiah Shoels.......and you honest to god wrote SMUT about him?!!!
I'm sorry what? First off, being a Columbiner isn't normal. Second of all, WHY THE FUCK-
This kills my faith in humanity. It really does. People like this look at them as broken soft boys who just needed love and acceptance and that they can fix them. Well guess what?
They may have been bullied but that's not a fucking excuse for what they did. I was bullied in school, I didn't pick up a gun and kill multiple people, and then call one of them a fucking racial slur before doing it. They get NONE of my sympathy.
This isn't funny. This isn't edgy. This isn't cool. This is fucking disgusting and this person deserves to be forced to listen to the families and friends of these victims and also force to learn about the victims......actually.......let's do that now:
Cassie Bernall was born November 6th, 1981 and grew up in a Christian household. She had problems with drugs and alcohol and developed homicidal and suicidal thoughts towards her parents and herself but she thankfully overcame it. She was a junior. Her parents weren't told about her death until 2 days later.
Isaiah Shoels was born August 4th, 1980. His hobbies were sports and music. He wanted to be a comedian and dreamed of being a music executive. He was a senior. He was born with a heart defect but overcame it and played footy all and wrestled.
Rachel Scott was born August 5th, 1981. She was a junior. Her hobbies were acting, writing, and art. She and her brother Craig argued on they're way to school and he has said this was his last time seeing her alive (I can't imagine how he must of felt, him and his sister had a perfectly normal argument neither of them knowing what'll happen. I actually got emotional a bit writing this one. She seemed like such a good person.
Daniel Rohrough was born March 2nd, 1984. He was a freshman. His hobbies were computer games and electronics. He was looking coward to getting his drivers permit soon. He passed away the sidewalk outside the school and laid there for 2 days before the paramedics were allowed to move him. His parents weren't even told my officials......what the fuck
Dave Sanders was born October 22nd, 1951. His hobbies were coaching and business. He helped save as much as 100 students. He died a hero. His final words were "tell my girls I love them"
Kyle Velasquez was born May 5th, 1982. Hobbies were computers and military. He had a mental disorder due to a stroke as a baby as well as severe asthma. Last words were "Goodbye. I love you, mom." He didn't know how to hide so he curled up under a table. He was a sophomore. (Oh god.....) "Goodbye. I love you, mom." (Emotional again)
Steve Curnow was born August 28th, 1984. His hobbies were soccer, technology, and was a Star Wars fan and his favorite character was Hans Solo. Steve dreamed of being a Navy top gun pilot and was very close with his mom Susan and father Bob. He watched the Star Wars movies so many times he could recite the dialogue along with the actors. Science fiction fans nationwide put together a go-to-Star-Wars memorial day in his honor when Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace premiered in theaters May 19th, 1999; he had been anxiously awaiting its release. He was a freshman.
Matthew Kechter was born January 19th, 1983 and was a sophomore. His hobby was sports.
Lauren Townsend was born January 17th, 1981. Hobby was arts. She was a senior. She was captain of the girls varsity volleyball team. She comforted a terrified Valeeen Shnurr.
John Tomlin was born September 1st, 1982. He was a sophomore. His hobby was church. He once drove all the way to Mexico to help build a house for a poor family. He enjoyed four-wheeling in his truck and lifting weights. Hiding under a table, he welcomed a girl he didn't know (victim Nicole Nowlen) into his hiding place when she grew scared where she was hiding and he held her hand to comfort her when the killers started shooting people in the library.
Kelly Fleming was born January 6th, 1983. Her hobbies were poetry, writing, books, and reading. She was a sophomore.
Daniel Mauser born June 25th, 1983. His hobby was the student debate team. He was a sophomore.
Daniel DePooter born March 3rd, 1982. Hobbies were wrestling, hiking, golf, fishing, hunting, and inline skating. He was the last victim killed.
These are victims of The Columbine School Massacre. They had hopes and dreams. They were loved. Hell they had bright futures that were taken away from them. THIS is why it disgusts so much to see people idolize, romanticize, sexualize, and condon these 2 murderers.
I have this theory that if one person can go out of their way to show compassion then it will start a chain reaction of the same. People will never know how far a little kindness can go.
I had my ups and downs and I fell a bit, but I did not give. Don't give up....
Don't let your character change color with your environment. Find out who you are and let it stay it's true color.
All of my information came from the Columbine Wiki. The last 3 quotes are from Rachel Scott.
