Tiny rant

It is stuff like this and that "real metal or whatever the metal ellist say that honest to god prevents me from calling myself a metalhead despite my very obvious love for rock and roll as a whole. I'm quite sure not every metal fan is like this, hell I've met some who are absolutely cool. But this? Is this just wow:

1st: there is no such thing as real rock and roll. Rock has a shit ton of genres under it: including grunge and hair. Two genres who get hate under the pretense of Grunge "ruining hair" and hair just being shitty (even though most of the hair bands were really freaking good).

2. No such thing as chick music. I'm pretty sure ALOT of men listen to Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi was a hair band, just like Motley Crue, Poison, Skid Row (I guess), Guns N Roses (supposingly), Ratt, Warrant, Hanoi Rocks, etc. The only difference was the sound which if having a different sound is a problem we might as well bitch about Cinderella having a blues sound (even though Cinderella are MAJORLY underated)

3. Gay music: I already hate it when people use the word gay to describe shit. It's even worst when it's actually pretty insulting for me as there is legitmally gay men in rock and roll (Elton John, Freddie Mercury, Rob Halford, etc.)

4. Is it seriously so freaking hard to take a bands side without shitting on the other for idiotic reasons? Especially since Guns N Roses (who I love btw), has 4 POWER BALLADS. Patience, November Rain, Don't Cry, and Estranged. Probably more

Also notice this person says only "Appetite For Destruction is better then every "gay" ass Bon Jovi album"........no mention of any of those Bon Jovi albums like These Days, Slippery When Wet, and New Jersey. Hell no mention of GnR albums like Use Your Illusion 1 and 2, GnR Lies, The Spaghetti Incident, and Chinese Democracy

This probably shouldn't bug me but it does. Mostly because I hate genre hate. I hate when every musician under a genre is hated on just because they're associated with said genre

I'm no big fan of Grunge, i like Nirvana for God's sake but as much as i love hair metal, I have no kind of towards grunge. I just think it got overly saturated, similar to hair itself. It become way to huge. Grunge didn't kill hair metal, hair wasn't gonna last forever and probably not even past the 80s (of cource the bands will like Bon Jovi, Guns N Roses, Motley Crue), if anything people over hyping the fuck out of something that didn't need to be helped to kill it. It doesn't help that Kurt Cobain didn't want that to even happen more then likely. Kurt wasn't the type of guy who'll eat up the fame and fortune. He was the type to do whatever the fuck he wanted because he could. He's a rockstar big time. Cant tell me he ain't a rockstar. Of course I'm the same person who thinks of MJ as a rockstar
