The evening flashed by. When we came back dinner was on the table then I went to go talk to Gally for a bit then I found my spot and was writing in my journal when Chuck came over. "Hey Taylor" Chuck sat in front of me. "Hey Chuck how's things going" I cared for Chuck like a little brother and I liked the fact that I could protect someone else.
"They put me in the Sloppers as my job but I'm ok with it. Its a unique job" He laughed and started picking at the grass. A little feeling of sadness came into my head. He was forced to grow up so quickly I mean granted the rest of us are as well but we are all in our late teens or young adults. We had our childhoods Chuck didnt.
"So what was it like running out in the Maze" His eyes were filled with wonder "Its honestly kinda creepy and you get really tired after like half an hour but it is a really freeing feeling" I was dreading this feeling but I wanted to be a Runner. Dam it I didnt want to be a Runner but I did. Urgh all of this is far too confusing.
