[ part two ]

-

If I leave all for thee, wilt thou exchange
And be all to me? Shall I never miss
Home-talk and blessing and the common kiss
That comes to each in turn, nor count it strange,
When I look up, to drop on a new range
Of walls and floors, another home than this?
Nay, wilt thou fill that place by me which is
Filled by dead eyes too tender to know change?
That's hardest. If to conquer love, has tried,
To conquer grief, tries more, as all things prove;
For grief indeed is love and grief beside.
Alas, I have grieved so l am hard to love.
Yet love me—wilt thou? Open thine heart wide,
And fold within the wet wings of thy dove.

i thought this would be a lovely poem to start us off with part two of phantasm. i know some of you are a little disappointed that calum and harley turned out to be half-cousins. but scientifically, half-cousins only share 6% of the same DNA. that does not mean i am encouraging incest, okay? ahaha. i'm just handing you a little snippet of detail.

and just remember the story is not over yet. there will be much more to come, so hang onto your hats, people, its gonna be a bumpy ride!

i'm working on chapter ninteteen as i type this and its 75% done. so i don't know if i should post it today or wait until tomorrow. i'll most likely have much more time tomorrow to do things. but this plot twist has certainly inspired me to write some more during every bit of free time i have.

anyway, thank you all for reading. it means so much.

i love you.
