I'm cold again.

I opened my eyes. Why can't I move? Looking down, I see I'm strapped to bed, straps around my knees, my chest, and my throat.

Looking around the room, it looks like the one where those kids were in the restricted area. I could hear voices on the other side of the door.

"I thought you said that all of them died out, so how is this one still alive?" Someone hears that abominable shitgoblin asks someone.

"I don't care how he gets here; all that matters is that he survives." Dr. Wu replies.

Seeing the door on the left being opened by Sergeant Daniels and Dr Wu

"How are you feeling today, Malakai?" Dr. Wu asks, standing on the right side of the bed.

"Why are you doing this?" Answering her question with another question

"I'm doing this so that we can survive, so we can destroy our enemies and everything that stands in our path, delaying us from succeeding." Dr. Wu says, writing something on her clipboard.

"The enemy?" This is going to be interesting.

"I'm surprised you don't know. They are the Shadow Creatures, and those who are not with us are against us and the... Saints of Light. " She answers, looking at me strangely.

"You ready, Doc?" The easy-bake oven asks Dr. Wu, who in return, nods.

Sergeant Daniels leaves the room only to return seconds later with a cart that has a towel over top of it.

Stopping the cart next to Dr. Wu, who takes off the towel, reveals five syringes, each of which has a different shade of black and a dark purple liquid in it.

"Believe me, when I say this Kai, this will hurt me more than it will hurt you." Dr. Wu says that picking the syringe up has a black substance.

Holding the syringe up in the air, flicking her finger against the glass of it, checking for air bubbles.

Pushing the plunger flange up with her right thumb, she causes the black liquid to squirt out of the needle. As the liquid lands on the floor, it starts to smoke. Tapping her fingers against my forearm. She brings the syringe closer and injects it into my arm.

I feel nothing.

"This never takes this long." Sergeant Daniels says, sounding uneasy while looking at Dr. Wu.

My arm feels numb, I don't like this feeling. Looking down at my arm, I see my veins starting to turn black.

"AAGHHHH." I was screaming from the top of my lungs.

It hurts so badly. It feels like there's sandpaper moving around in my veins.

I let out another pained cry as I felt my bones in my legs and arm break. I open my eyes and look at my fingers. I'm bleeding out from my nails, but instead of blood it is a tar-like substance coming out.

I'm crying. I haven't cried in a long time.

"Please! Please make it stop! " begged Dr. Wu while crying.

And like that, it stopped.

With blurry vision, I notice Dr. Wu standing against the wall, hands on her mouth and wide eyes.

Looking to my left, I see Sergeant Daniels, who looks like he is about to throw up.

"Take him to his room." Dr. Wu demands the sergeant. I close

my eyes for a second before opening them again. I see that I'm still on the bed, moving down a hall. I turn my head only to see concrete walls.

I can feel a headache forming, so I am closing my eyes again just to rest my eyes. After a while, I open my eyes to see I'm in the same room I was in when I woke up in this hell.
