"Oh, what's the question then?" He asked.

"Do you actually want to get married or are you just saying that?"

My heart sank at the bold statement.

The car was quiet for a couple of seconds.

"I'm determined to marry you, I wouldn't say it if I didn't feel that way. I don't think I've ever been more serious about anything in my life." He said as he continued to drive.

"I love you," I laughed grabbing his hand.

"I love you so much, I want you to remember that." He said grabbing my hand.

I looked at him smiling.

"I wanna kiss you so bad right now." He said trying to focus on the road.

"When we get home."

I felt the car speed up and I squeezed his hand, "let's stay at the speed limit," I said in a shaky voice.

"We're almost home," he responded.

I nodded closing my eyes, the car did slow down as we got off the freeway

When we finally pulled into the driveway I jumped out of the car.

"You need to go back to driving school."

"No, I'm a wonderful driver."

"Only sometimes," I remarked taking my lanyard from inside my shirt.

"How are you gonna survive sleeping at home tomorrow night?" I called out unlocking the door.

"I'm not," Luke said swiftly wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Well tonight's the last night for a whole day," I gasped sarcastically.

"I don't wanna talk about that," he whispered still holding me.

I turned around smiling wrapping my arms around his neck.

"What am I making for dinner?" He asked.

"You already asked me that."

"Well, I forgot so tell me again silly."

"Mhmmm make chicken nuggets."

"Chicken nuggies? That's so simple."

"We're gonna be eating good at my grandma's house."

"Really?"

"Yea they cook all the time."

"Alright, I'll guess I'll make basic chicken nuggies tonight."

"Alright, you big baby."

He smiled at me and carried me to the kitchen.

"Ok you wait here," he set me down on a barstool and opened the freezer.

I sat there watching Luke set the chicken nuggets on a tray.

"Ok we just gotta wait a couple of minutes," Luke said turning around and looking at me.

"Are you excited about your visit?" I asked.

"Yea it's a really nice school."

"Are you gonna take the offer, if they offer you?"

"I don't know, I'm hoping somewhere in San Diego offers me first."

"Why?"

"I'll be close to you."

"I'm hoping to leave California, I don't like it here."
