On June 7th 1958 real music was born we were lucky enough 2 be born in this space and time 2 witness and pass on his greatness. So many lost souls found themselves because of u. "Service 2 others is the key 2 making it off this planet". U served us well u left it all out there on that stage.
In a year that didn't happen in clown world I'd be in Minneapolis. Probably a late start 2 this day from dancing 2 the wee hours of the morning at First Avenue. Minneapolis is a beautiful place with friendly ppl I see why u loved it so much. I couldn't imagine how recent events would have made u feel. Even worse industry friends of yours bailing out the very ppl that turned 2 burn Minneapolis 2 the ground.
My hope 4 today is that we as your purple fam especially the ones in Minneapolis and all of Minnesota can sit back today enjoy the sunshine and listen 2 your amazing grift and thank God he made u on the 7th day
