As we all know MJ is always referred 2 as the King Of Pop.I in my early years never thought about that much.Many of you on this site are younger than me.Im 38 years old.So words like Pop meant Pepsi 2 me.

While I am a fan of MJ I'm not a fanatic of his like I am of Prince the 2 are polar opposites in my opinion in every way except being black and from the midwest.For the most part numbers don't lie but they don't always tell the truth either.

In 1982 Prince released 1999 and MJ released Thriller. Little Red Corvette was the first video by an African American played on MTV many might not know that the way MJ is always spoken of,I read an article where an ex MTV executive said Michael called angry Prince was getting more played told then 2 cut back on it and also start calling him the King of Pop.Is that totally true who knows.A white lady I was FB friends told me that came from Elizabeth Taylor I said no disrespect but black ppl don't give a shit what Liz Taylor says all she is 2 us is a perfume spokesperson.

Anyway I'll give u my reasons why the crown belongs 2 Pookie.Before 1985 there were separate categories 4 black ppl called Black album and Black single it was saying we should be recognized but couldn't compete.

The 1985 AMAs came on and Prince, MJ, Lionel Richie etc were representing the black artists

But then he wins Best Pop single 4 When Doves Cry and best Pop album 4 Purple Rain and in that moment they realize black artists could compete.Purple Rain is in the Library of Congress listed as a cultural significant piece of art.

Prince was voted the biggest and most influential artist of the 80s.He changed fashion how people view black masculinity and create is own sound that reached beyond Pop or R & B. Often because people make it seem Prince was only Purple Rain are just now realizing how talented he was.The biggest catalog in music history the biggest royalty base in music history.A work ethic compared 2 none don't take my word for the list speaks 4 itself but seeing it makes it more real

They had Mutual respect but weren't friends and they weren't freaking gay damnit.Black men are emasculated enough by Society we as fans shouldn't do that 2 them as well.I being what u could say is the female version of Prince because I like Baseball caps,sports and jeans get asked if I'm a lesbian I'm like hell no and I'm offended not cuz I hate gay ppl but don't call me something I'm not.I digress though the point is 2 me the Prince V MJ argument is the Peyton Manning V Tom Brady argument Tom has more rings which makes ppl say he's the G.O.A.T but alot of factors went in2 his wins like cheating Peyton Manning has the better stats

MJ has more sales Prince has more albums and higher royalties and Warn A Brothers didn't market Prince the way Motown did MJ

Which is where his record label beef started.

Prince is the 🐐 period it was said he wrote 100 songs for Purple Rain he only used 9 who else has wrote 100 songs? I mean really this was just for 1 album let that sink in.
