#5 Jimi Hendrix
He may be higher on your list but I'm not that big of an overall fan. I know he had a different style some of his songs were cool but just not for me
Purple Haze probably my fave#4 Carlos Santana
He has a smooth style very soothing I became aware of him in his later years with songs like Marie Marie his riffs were so smooth but Jungle Strut is fire.#3 Eric Clapton
Old slow hands the only person inducted into the Rock Hall 3 times. Couple of cool links 2 Prince, Eric was depressed and ready 2 die then he went 2 see a movie named Purple Rain he didn't know much about Prince but said seeing his performance was like shining a light in a dark room he went home and wrote his biggest hit Holy Mother and when asked how it feels 2 be the Greatest guitar player in history he replied "I don't know ask Prince."
#2 Brian May
Brian May of the Greatest rock band of all time Queen he also is the writer of We Will Rock U. His solos are some of the best. Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock U and Somebody 2 Love are some of my favorite oh yeah Innuendo is that fire 2.#1 Prince of course
