being new in town and sarah noticing you.
"who's that?" sarah glanced over to the girl who was walking her dog along the road. that girl was you. your parents had bought yet another house, and you wanted to get used to the new neighborhood. you had heard a little about the kooks and pogues, and you knew that you were obviously considered a kook but you thought the labels were stupid.
you hadn't really met anyone yet, but you saw that a group of kids about your age were sitting outside of a restaurant. the interesting thing about the group was that they appeared a mix of pogues and kooks. you hadn't seen that around here before.
you could tell that they were studying you, but you didn't look up until you heard one of the girls say "she's cute!" you locked eyes with the blonde girl and she winked at you. you smiled and continued your walk. maybe staying here wouldn't be so bad after all.
