CHAPTER 5: NO SHIT SHERLOCK

Pagdating namin sa bahay nila, pinaupo nila ako sa sala, habang kinwento ng magkapatid ang nangyari sa'min sa coffee shop.
"Demeter, can you please go to your room muna?" tanong ni Mr. Carlos. Tumango ako tapos umakyat sa kwarto ko. After sometime, tinawag nila ako para kumain ng dinner. Pagkatapos naming kumain, dali-dali akong umakyat sa kwarto ko. I took a shower and changed my clothes.

I activated my bug killer and took out my other phone para tawagan muna si Jayden. And this time, sumagot siya.
"Ari?" tanong niya.
"Cam, ako to." sagot ko.
"Why aren't you answering any of my phone calls?" tanong ko sa kanya.
"What do you mean? I always answer your calls. Pero may tumatawag sa'kin na..." I didn't let him finish his statement.
"That was me, Cam." I answered. Tapos may biglang kumatok sa pintuan ko.
"Teka lang, Cam. I won't be using this phone muna."
"Bye..." sabi ko tapos pinatay yung tawag. I hid the phone in my suitcase.

I opened the door and it was Max. He was holding his stomach, where kuya creepy guy punched him.
"Is this yours?" tanong niya tapos sa gitna ng kanyang palad, nakalatay yung ginintuang singsing ko. My Infinity ring... The ring that Max gave to me noong pumayag ako na maging gf niya. It simbolized eternity... Eternity na hindi natuloy. Bigla ko itong dinampot mula sa palad ni Max.
"Yes, it is mine." tanong ko and before I could close my door, Max stopped it with his foot.

~MAX'S POV~

Sa kanya?!! This infinity ring was one-of-a-kind, custom made for the love of my life, Persephone. Imposible naman na may kaparehas siya. IT WAS CUSTOM MADE! I stared at Demeter's face.
"Your green eyes are stunning, Demi." sabi ko.
"Gracias, Max. (Thank you, Max.)" sumbat niya sa'kin na parang kinakabahan.

"Oo nga pala." I said with a smile just to make her feel relaxed again.
"¿Que? (What?)" tanong niya.
"Because of the incident sa coffee shop kanina, dad agreed na sasali ka sa daily training. Magsisimula ka bukas. 4:00 AM." sagot ko tapos linubayan ko na siya. Sino ka ba talaga, Demi?

I decided to inspect her things as she slept. Oo na, alam kong creepy pero I'll be careful. At kailangan kong bumuo ng fake story baka sakali magising siya habang nasa loob ako ng kwarto niya. Kinuha ko yung charger ko.Besides, I have the keys to each and every room, including Demi's. You know what's weird, the red blinking thing in her lenses. I wear lenses myself. Those infused with chips that can make you see smaller chips. Parang nag-zozoom in lang kapag in-aactivate mo.

Nag-antay ako hanggang sa makatulog siya. 12:00 AM na. Siguro nakatulog na siya. Kinuha ko yung susi tapos pumunta sa kwarto niya. I was so quiet... I looked at her, at tama ako. Natutulog na siya. I hope she's a heavy sleeper... Tinignan ko yung bedside table niya and a little box caught my eyes. Nilagay ko yung charger sa likod ng headboard niya. May pako sa likod ng headboard niya at doon ko ito inilagay. Kinuha ko yung maliit na kahon tapos pagbukas ko nito may dalawang kulay berdeng contact lenses na nakita ko. She was using lenses?! I looked at her left hand and she was wearing the Infinity ring. The same hand where Syph used to wear it.

I walked closer to Demi... and I knelt in front of her. I reached to open her eyes nang biglang hinawakan niya yung wrist ko saka pinaikot ito. She sat straight up tapos ako naka-luhod pa rin. She opened her eyes and looked at me, shocked.
"Anong ginagawa mo rito?" tanong niya at binitawan ang kamay ko.

I found myself sitting in Demi's bed, unable to process anything.
"Sorry kung nagising kita." sabi ko sa kanya.
"Ano ba kaseng ginagawa mo rito?" tanong niya sa'kin.
"Kukunin ko sana yung charger ko." sagot ko tapos kinuha yung charger na nilagay ko sa likod ng headboard niya.
"Naka-lenses ka pala?" tanong ko.
"Huh? Oo. Kase sensitive yung mga mata ko sa ilaw. I had to wear lenses but colored ones were the only one left before." sagot niya.
"Ahhh..." I responded.

There was an awkward moment of silence. Hanggang sa tumayo na ako.
"I have to go na. Sleep well." sabi ko. Tumango siya tapos lumabas na ako, locking her door as I did so.

4:00 AM. Binilin ako ni papa na sunduin si Demeter, as soon as I wake up. Pumunta ako sa kwarto niya tapos kumatok sa pintuan. She opened it right away. She had her lenses on. Nakasuot siya ng kulay itim na sports bra tapos leggings. She wore black shoes and her hair was in a ponytail. I couldn't help myself. I checked her out... Damnnnn... Mas maayos pa ata katawan nito kaysa sa'kin. May abs tapos yung shape niya... Hoooooo...
"Max." she called as she snapped her fingers Infront of my eyes.
"Tara na." sabi ko tapos lumakad papunta sa labas ng bahay. Doon, nakaupo si papa tapos si Sky nakahawak ng bola.

"Max!" sigaw niya sabay bato ng bola papunta sa'kin. He caught me off-guard! Luckily, sinalo ito ni Demeter na tumingin sa'kin.
"Lutang na lutang ka sis?" tanong niya saka binato pabalik ang bola kay Sky.

"Ok, you know the drill boys. 5 laps around the court." sabi ni papa. Sky started to jog and so did papa. I was left with Demi.
Nang makalayo sina papa, hinila ko si Demeter sa likod ng malaking puno.
"What the..." sabi niya, trying to free from my grasp. I pinned her against the tree, trapping her. Tinitigan niya ako.
"Anong problema mo?" galit na tanong niya.
"Shhhh..."-"Keep quiet, baby." sabi ko.
"Anong baby baby? Galing ba ako sa sinapupunan mo?" galit na tanong niya as she tried to free herself. I leaned closer to her ear. I could feel her breathing heavier as I did so.
"Be careful who you mess with." pinangunahan ko.
"I don't like liars, baby." dagdag ko. I gave her a grin and started to jog off.

I know how much I annoyed her kanina. Hahahaha... Her face was pure uncomfortable. Pagkatapos ng 5 laps sa court, pumasok kami sa gym. Dad got inside the ring and I know what he wanted to happen.
"Come on up, Sky." tawag niya sa nakababata kong kapatid. They started to wrestle and as always, dad won.
"Your turn, Max." sabi niya sa'kin.
"Sino kalaban ko?" tanong ko and Demeter raised her hand. A second later, we found ourselves looking at each other inside the ring.
Sinubukan ko siyang suntukin sa tiyan pero mas mabilis siya. She dodged it, excellently. I threw myself in for a punch and I managed to punch her side. She grunted. Umatake siya, nasuntok niya ako sa tiyan at sa likod. Malakas yung mga suntok niya pero tignan ko lang kung saan ka aabot. I tried to punch her but she grabbed my wrist and twisted it. She trapped my leg so I ended up on the floor. She came up behind me and just like that, she locked my neck. Being unable to breathe, I tapped on her arm and she let go of me. Tumawa si papa.
"Natalo ka ng babae, Max." sambit niya habang halos mawalan na ng hininga sa kakatawa.

Umupo ako sa tabi ni Demeter. Ba't kase siya umuupo na parang lalake? Ayan tuloy, nakita ko yung cleavage niya. Kinuha ko yung jacket ko saka binato ito sa dibdib niya.
"Cover up." sambit ko tapos lumakad palayo.
Uy pre, malaki. Hahaha. Ok tama na Max. You are being a pervert. Maximillian, be a respectful guy.

We had a couple of exercises hanggang sa natapos na namin ang daily training. Demeter's skills are good. Hindi siya napapagod, malakas yung mga suntok niya, she's very good at fighting and wrestling. No shit sherlock. She's impressive...
