That day, Zero requested Chase to go to school before him. He said he would show up a little late because he had something that he needed to take care of. Chase complied without questioning him about it.
However, for the entire day - Zero hadn't shown up at school.
Chase had sent him multiple texts asking him if he was okay, and Zero assured him that everything was fine and he'd be arriving any second then.
He didn't.
Chase walked back home with Oliver, Jason and Tyler that day. But, he felt empty without having Zero by his side.
When he got home, the house was unnervingly silent. The first thing he did was race over to his bedroom to check up on Zero. He wasn't there.
What he found, instead, was a note which read:
Thank you for everything.
That was when it hit Chase.
It was the thirtieth day.
Zero was nowhere to be found.
