[An alteration of a piece from "Charge of the Light Brigade" by Alfred Tennyson. (1880)]

_______________

Trebuchet to right of them.      Trebuchet to left of them.
Trebuchet behind them.
Volley'd and thunder'd; Storm'd at with shield  and spell, While demon and warden fell,
They that had fought so well Came thro' the jaws of Death, Back from the mouth of hell,
All that was left of them, Left of Adamant.

Flashed all their swords bare,
Flashed as they turned in air
Immolating the archers there,
Charging an army, while
   All the world wondered.

Plunged in the fiery-smoke
Right through the Fade they broke;
Warden, Demon and Nightmare
Reeled from the Inquisition's stroke
   Shattered and sundered.
Then they rode back, but not
   Not the Grey Wardens.

Trebuchet! to right of them.

When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
   All the world wondered.
Honour the charge they made!
Honour the Inquisition,
   Noble Grey Wardens!
