It's two weeks now since alhaji ringim passed away. The death shocked alot of people. Some didn't even know that he was sick. It came as a total shock when it was announced on TV and radio. People are mourning for him. He was a good man indeed. Badiyya hasn't said anything since the day he died. She kept herself locked up in his room. Her daddy was gone. He is never going to come back. Her heart breaks miserably.

She hugged herself so tight wishing he was here hugging her " my daddy "

He was her hero. Her everything. Why does he have to leave too soon?. He promise that he wouldn't leave but he disappointed her. The door kept knocking but she wasn't answering.

" Badiyya?" rahama called from the other side of the door. " I know you're listening to me, please open up. Talk to us, sakeena and I are worried sick for you. Your brothers are also worried. Please badiyya always remember that we are now family and family sticks together. "

She still didn't say anything instead she sobbed quietly. She cried as if she has never cried before. It hurts alot. She never expected losing her father to be this hard on her. She miss him so  much.

" please badiyya "

One month later

Rahama ran down the stair with a piece of paper in her hand. She was running away from badiyya who wants to collect the paper.

" give it back rahama " badiyya growled.

" no I won't . I must read what is written here" she smirked and then open up the folded paper to read .

" Dear love, wow! Sagir is really something else" rahama hummed softly and continue reading

" I know we've been a little distan-

The paper go snatched out of her hands by badiyya.

" finally, I can now have my letter" badiyya glared at her and folded the paper.

" you're no fun" said rahama with a pout and then slumped down on the chair.

" it's not yours to read anyway "

" OK fine. But why have you been avoiding sagir? "

Badiyya heaved a small sigh " I really don't know "

With a brow raised " I don't understand? " rahama asked confused

" I don't know what exactly is wrong with me rahama. Ever since dad died, i just want to be alone. I don't want to be burdened with all this love of a thing. I want to be left alone. I know I've been too harsh on him but he needs to understand that I need time to get my acts together. "

" you know this isn't fair at all. That man needs an explanation. He has been worried sick for you. You will be surprised if I tell you how many time he calls me a day just to know how you're doing" rahama told her truthfully

" He called? " badiyya asked surprise

" yes he always calls. Please talk to him "

" I'll try"

" please you don't need to try just do it."

" OK fine I've heard you " badiyya rolled her eyes

" Good" rahama smiled
