"May I ask what brings you the pleasure to see me hereafter... eight months, maybe even more of no contact?" May asked as she folds her arms in front of her chest with her legs crossed, leaning on the chair in a cafe while looking at the man. Her cup of coffee was still hot yet untouched. She wore a pair of dark shades while her hair was up in a high ponytail. She wears a black leather jacket, unbuttoned, with a dark red shirt, black jeans, and a pair of white and red sneakers. Behind her dark shades, she was glaring at the man in front of her.

"May, I know I was wrong but I am worried. I let you free but this is what happened. Have you seen what the people say about you? It is time for you to return. I don't want you to be like this," the man across from May said as he stirred his cup of coffee. His brown hair was messy under and he wears a casual red t-shirt with blue pants along with a pair of black sneakers. His grey eyes looked down at his coffee before looking at May, hoping to have contact with her eyes under her dark shades.

"Worried? Why didn't I feel that you were worried? You can at least call me once and ask if I am okay. But no, you didn't. You are still the same as always. What exactly do you want? I am not going back. I liked it this way. I am free, Brendan," May said as she leans forward a little.

Brendan chuckles a little. "And you never changed, May. Still as hot-headed as ever. And stubborn too. You know how my job is. I can't always call you and I sometimes don't have service. It is not me who changed. It is you. This show business does not fit you. I just want you to be safe. Can't you see? You are a woman, May. You don't have to work, your family, and I can provide for you."

May looked at Brendan for a while. She scanned his features. They haven't talked to each other for about a year. Ever since May went into entertainment, she has to admit that she hasn't thought of her boyfriend, even once. As cruel as it sounds, to her, they had unofficially broken up after waiting for his call for a month. She decided to draw her line after she realized that Brendan may never contact her. "I am not the one who changed. It is you who had changed. Didn't you know how after practice every day, I wait for your call, to ask me how is my day? To worry about me. But you disappointed me. You not once called, or texted, or anything. So why are you here now? Don't tell me that you are worried because you are not. I don't want you to tell me what to do. I may be a woman but I have long known that I cannot depend on a man. I am not going to make myself useless that when you decided to dump me or when my family falls, I will be hopeless and let others step all over me. Let me ask again, what do you want?"

"May, come back home," Brendan said after he took a sip of his coffee.

"So I wake up at seven in the morning to meet you just for you to tell me to give up my dreams and to go home?" May mocked as she laughed, causing people in the cafe to turn and stare at the two.

"I am not telling you to give up but to tell you to go home. Come back with me."

"It is basically the same thing. But my answer will always be the same. Give up, Brendan. We are done here," May said as she stood up.

"May, is it your final answer? I don't want us to be like this," Brendan said.

"Yes," May said before she turned around and walked away.

The sounds of her shoe on the floor echoes as May walked out the door. Brendan wants May to turn around one more time but he knows that it is all over. Looking over at May's cold and untouched cup, he tightens his hand into a fist. Since when did they come to this? They used to be so happy. Why did they come to this? The more Brendan thought, the deeper he fell. Time slowed down as Brendan get lost in his surroundings. He didn't notice anything around him.

"I can help you to get her back," a voice said suddenly, breaking Brendan out of his thoughts. He looked up toward the voice, who was now sitting in the seat May was sitting before. "I can give her back to you."

"Why?" Brendan asked.

"Because I wanted to. I have my own motivates," the voice said.

Brendan looked at the persons. The person was dressed up in all black with a black hood over him. Brendan can only saw the lower half of his face. He takes a few moments to think.

"Think about it. I can help you to make her return to you on her own," the man said.

"What do you want?" Brendan asked.

"She has something I wanted and she is something you want. It is a win-win situation," the man shrugged.

"You promise you will not hurt her?" Brendan asked.

"I make no promises but I can try," the man smiled.

"Okay," Brendon said.

"Then you have to follow exactly as I said now."
