A few days later...

"So, Bucky and I were thinking about going out for lunch today, Grace," Steve said as she entered the living room where he and Bucky were sitting. "Think you'd be up for it?"

Grace paused for a moment.

"I know the last time you went out, it didn't end so well,"he quickly added. "But Bucky and I will there with you the whole time."

"Alright. I'll go."

"R-Really?" Bucky blurt out in surprise.

Grace smiled. "Yes, it sounds like fun."

Steve's face split into a wide grin. "Hamburgers and fries sound good?"

"I don't really remember what those are, but if you fellas like them, then sure. I'll go get ready," Grace answered as she jumped up.

"'Get ready'? Babydoll, you dressed nicer than most people out to grab a burger are."

"I'm wearing coveralls."

"So? They aren't faded or have holes in them."

Grace shook her head. "I'm just going to go slip a dress on."

"That's fine, Gracie," Steve answered good-naturedly.

Bucky rolled his eyes. "You still already look way better than most of 'em out there," he called over his shoulder as she disappeared into the bedroom to change.
