She felt like quitting today
Palms sticky and wet
All the regret
A simple mistake that brewed a hurricane
Thunder and lightening
Struggling to climb her mountains and struggling to swim in her seas
Anxiety
Shaking
Mind on fire
But only a desire that keeps her from stopping
Through the pain she found a fire worth keeping lit
She couldn't give up that easily
Even with her mind ablaze
Even with the rains trying to wash away her strength
She had to remember her reason
She must push on
The war must be fought and the inner demons must be silenced
This is her resilience to keep going
She thought about quitting today
YET, she remember she is clothed in dignity and strength
