Pain of reality

7 1 1

The plate feels heavy and heavier until it falls out of their hand
A shatter and solid break
The stopping of car brakes
Time keeps running but freezes in the moment of pain
Reality wraps around an arm like a snake smothering the vein
This heart is heavy with reality
These feet are bleeding from the glass of the plate
Every memory is running wild through the forest and the birds are singing the story
Sinking down to the ground with their arm to their chest they scream and cry.
It was just to heavy of a burden to carry tonight.
Yet, they will stand again, and know the kind of pain reality sometimes brings.
But they cannot be whole until the one they love comes back home, or until the plates pieces are glued back from someone who cares for their well being.
