In Between The Lines

You'd Realize if she only told

If she is honest she wants love.
If she told all thoughts racing through her mind you'd be surprised.
You'd realize there's more to her laughs and smiles; you'd realize that there's pain.
But yet you'd see there's forgiveness all under her feet.

You would see the past is hard for her to let be. She keep replaying every memory.
Then you'd know she keeps wishing for things to be the way they used too be.

You'd see her feelings have been bruised. You'd see she wishes someone would fight for her instead of letting go,
as her hand slips away like quick sand.

You'd realize why she pushes away, and why she pulls back on the strings.
She wishes you'd understand her thoughts, and feelings,
but no one has ever cared about these things.

She's to afraid to let the truth drip down like ice cream melted on a cone in the summers heat.
