It would be a lie if she said it didn't hurt.
It would be a lie if she said what happened didn't change her.
She fears they'll all do her the same.
She fears that she will never be a good enough human being to be loved.
She's afraid they'll run, that they'll leave.
You stick to her thoughts like a thorn.
You remind her of why she believes she is not enough.
She looks in the mirror and wonders why she can't ever be the one.
She smiles and laughs,
and gives love.
yet every night she returns home she's alone.
But at the end of the day deep inside she knows she's enough,
and she knows the galaxy always rewards back the love given.
She has hope and faith that one day
she'll be the one for a certain human being.
