"You know what I find weird?" Sweet Pea spoke as we stood in our room getting ready from prom.

"What's that babe?" I questioned as I finished off curling my hair, standing up and admiring the efforts I had made with both my hair and my makeup.

"The fact that this whole Gryphons and Gargoyles thing is still going on, Betty's dad is most likely dead and the Farm who you considered family has pretty much become a cult and is recruiting everyone around us all whilst we're here getting ready for our prom. It's just... weird."

"Well that's one way of over-simplifying things." I laughed softly before I turned away and kissed Sweet Pea on the lips.

"Would it really be Riverdale if there wasn't some insane chaos going on though? When is there not a murder or a mystery going down that somehow us teenagers manage to solve before the actual forces do? Don't get me wrong I'm so happy FP is now the sheriff but his son is still managing to do majority of the crime-solving around here whilst we raise our family."

Sweet Pea laughed at me slightly before nodding his head in agreement.

"Nothing like a bit of chaos to keep our teenage lives busy that's for sure."

"As if having a baby and planning our wedding wasn't chaos enough." I sighed as we both looked over and stared at Charlie laying soundlessly in her crib. It was still so surreal that she existed let alone that something so beautiful was ours.

Sweet Pea massaged my shoulders gently before whispering in my ear

"We need to get dressed and head out. FP and JB have volunteered to take care of Charlie tonight, to be honest I think JB loves having a younger sister figure."

"I know I just get so worried leaving her behind." I spun around softly and rested my head on Sweet Pea's chest, listening to his heartbeat as he kissed me softly on the head making sure not to ruin my hair or makeup.

"She's with her grandfather, besides we deserve a night of fun remember? That's what the deal was moving in here. We would still be forced to have a regular teenage life and attend proms, parties and graduations. It's FP's orders and who are we to disobey the sheriff?" Sweet Pea smiled down at me already knowing my response.

"You mean besides Serpents?" He kissed me softly on the lips before helping me into my dark blue, simple medieval dress.

"Enlighten me, how does 'fire and ice' turn into a medieval themed prom?" Sweet Pea asked as he straightened out the crinkles on the velvet fabric before helping me with the large old fashioned belt which reminded me a lot of giant coins.

"Honestly I have no clue I just rolled with what Cheryl and Toni went with. I know best not to argue with them, different crew or not they're still my family and I still know them better than anyone."

"I'm so glad you stayed with the Serpents, you and Betty have become the only two women left with us but at the same time I'm grateful for that. You can help us change and adapt, now that we're no longer the 'Southside' Serpents I think it's time we changed things up and stepped into the new world order where my gorgeous fiancé gets to take charge."

"Spoken like a true leader Sweets, however you know I don't want to be the Serpent Queen: that's Betty's crown. Plus I would rather stay in the shadows and raise our little Serpent princess instead."

"As long as you know you'll always be my queen then I am more than happy with that." Sweet Pea kissed me once more before he pulled on a simple black jacket over his white ruffled shirt.

"You look handsome baby." I smiled trying to contain my laughter at seeing Sweet Pea in ruffles before he smirked at me.

"I just love the ruffles, don't you think they just accentuate my eyes?" Sweet Pea winked down at me before I burst out laughing and took his hand, kissing Charlie softly on the forehead we headed downstairs to be greeted with photos from FP.

"Look at this! All grown up! Now smile." We laughed as FP and Jellybean took photos after photos of the two of us before sending them straight through to our phones. "You make such a beautiful couple. Now go and have a good night!" FP kissed me on the cheek before opening the front door for us to leave.

"To the prom we go." I smiled as Sweet Pea and I linked arms briefly before hopping in our truck and heading the short distance to the high school.

---

"Well this is... something..." Sweet Pea commented as we stepped into the gym to find it had been completely made over with old fashioned torches, décor that looked like it belonged in the medieval eras and long buffet tables.

"Choni sure know how to go all out that's for sure." I shook my head with laughter before Sweet Pea and I paused at the photo booth on entry, taking a cute mandatory prom photo together we walked in further to be greeted by Fangs and Kevin.

"Brother!" I exclaimed as I hugged him tight, I had been seeing less and less of him since he had joined the Farm but I knew better than to try and educate him or help him when it came to them. I know how convincing they can be and I know there's no leaving that group unless they exile you or you discover the truth. Thankfully they had pardoned Sweet Pea and I after Charlie was born, it was right before they fully enveloped Riverdale with their lies and twisted promises.

"Sister! I have missed you! How's the little one doing?" Fangs smiled at me as we made small talk about Charlie. Making sure not to include many details however we did still talk with the same attitude we had before and that's something I held onto.

"She's beautiful as always. She misses her favourite uncle though." A sad smile appeared on my face as Kevin and Fangs excused themselves and hurried off towards Evelyn.

"He'll come back to us eventually, they all will beautiful." Sweet Pea kissed me softly before I composed myself and we moved onto the dancefloor where Jughead and Betty were slow dancing.

"May I have this dance?" Sweet Pea bowed as he took my hand and wrapped his arm around my waist. I couldn't stop myself from laughing slightly at his formalities but at the same time I couldn't help but smile for the pure fact I knew he was enjoying himself.

---

"Are you scared?" I asked after a few slow dances with my fiancé.

"Scared of what?" Sweet Pea questioned quietly as we made our way over to the punch bowl which we knew would have been spiked by now.

"Scared of the future? Of how this whole G&G thing is going to play out? It started off as some stupid game and yet somehow it became deadly. Doesn't it worry you that we're raising Charlie in this twisted town?" I took a sip of the punch tasting a familiar dash of vodka only smiling to myself as I saw Reggie nod his head towards me.

I smiled and raised my cup to him, he followed through making me laugh under my breath before I turned my attention back to Sweet Pea. I was happy that Reggie was continuing our tradition of spiking the punch, it reminded me of old times sake.

"Why don't we leave then? We'll graduate soon enough, we'll find a nice place out of town but still close enough that we can come and visit everyone often. We'll raise our family in a safe environment."

"Are you sure you want that Sweets? Riverdale is your home." I looked up cautiously at Sweet Pea. I didn't want him to leave the only home he ever knew, we grew up here, we found each other here. Hell Charlie was born here.

"You're wrong princess, my home is wherever you are." Smiling up at Sweet Pea I planted a passionate kiss on his lips. I couldn't help but lean deeper into him as we kissed, all I wanted was to be with him again.

"Let's get out of here." Sweet Pea smiled at my words as I took his hand and led him out of the gym, sending a nod to Jughead and Betty as we exited the building so they knew we were safe if anything were to go down. With that we hopped in the truck and drove to our special place at the river, overlooking the peace and serenity of nature as we cuddled up in the trunk of the ute.

Our minds forgetting about every little bit of chaos that was going on back home and focusing on nothing but each other once more.
