There's something about your voice that telegraphs beyond my screen
Like the simple serenade is fulfilling the canteen
It's a colorful sound wave that booms throughout the night
Pushing and pulling the demons away instead of beckoning to fight
The leverage of boundaries unbroken pertain to your mind
Basically your knowledge is vast and never unkind
Corny? I think so too, but I can't find many words to say that don't repeat
It's like the nights in my house when we talk are always a treat
I wonder if the lies beneath years past before
Not even the silence we reside in between isn't a bore
But it's not about us, it's about the precious soul that you are
As much as you'd like to get donuts or a slurpee, it's unfortunate that you're far
As kind as I am, your kindness is beyond compare
And I just as much as I do, I hope you have that love to share
It's so simple but goes a long way
Like the purity of your soul purifies the day
If my soul is the sight of the brink of heaven then yours is within heaven
Though I know your type of heaven is a seven eleven
Whether the body of yours contains the love you truly believe
Then I can't help feel you're lying about the me you perceive
Funny enough you persist no matter what I say to you
I hope the person you are extents way past your youth
I thank myself for being able to touch your soul beyond the space between
And somehow I could help purify your soul so clean.
