Chapter 11

"You want my help?"

"Yes," Akira said.

"I-I don't think I can be of much help."

"All we need is to do this one palace and then we'll see if we need your help."

"Why after this one palace?"

"Maybe we can get answers out from a shadow we're going up against."

I nodded, "Just call me when you need my help."

"Alright, let's get out of here," Akira said and we left Mementos.

Akira and I headed to Leblanc while everyone headed to where they needed to be. We got ready to work and Akechi walked through the door.

"Hi, Y/N."

"Hi, Akechi," I said.

"Do you mind if I take you out tonight?"

I looked over at Sojiro and he smiled.

"Go on, kid. You're young. Go have fun."

"Thank you, boss. I'll see you later, Akira," I said and took off my apron. I grabbed my things and we left Leblanc and headed to the train station.

"Do you mind if we stop at my place to drop off my things?" I asked.

"I don't mind at all."

We got on the train to head back towards Shibuya. We walked to my house and I set my things down in my room. I grabbed the house key before leaving with Akechi.

"Do you have anywhere in mind where you want to go?"

"Why don't we go to the movies and get dinner afterwards?" Akechi suggested.

"Sure. Oh! There's this new movie that came out that I really want to see."

"What movie is that?"

"Detective Pikachu." (Just roll with it.)

Akechi smiled, "I wouldn't mind seeing that."

"Then let's go!" I said and we headed towards Central Street. We got our tickets and headed into our theater.

"Do you want anything?" Akechi asked as he got up.

"I'd like some popcorn," I said.

"I'll get you some."

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"This night is for you, Y/N. I'll do whatever you like."

"You don't have to, Akechi."

"Let me, Y/N. Please?"

"Oh fine," I said and smiled at him.

He walked out of the theater for a few minutes and then returned with two bags of popcorn. He handed me one and sat down.

"Thank you, Akechi."

"You're welcome, Y/N."

We watched trailers of different movies and then the movie began. After the movie we exited the theater and stood outside for a minute.

"Where would you like to eat?"

"Want to head over to that diner?" I asked.

"I wouldn't mind."

We walked over to the diner and someone took us to a booth. It was nice and quiet tonight. We ordered a coffee and a small dish to go with it. While we were eating, Akechi's phone rang.

"Oh shit, it's the office. Do you mind if I take this?"

"Not at all."

"I'll be right back," he said and walked out of the diner.
