The Waiting Room

When I say this I'm not just throwing it out there carelessly or without thought.
I say it because deep down within the abyss of my cold, hollow skeleton i can feel it.
It hits me like a semi truck smashing into oncoming traffic.
It rings throughout my whole body.
I feel it flowing through all of my pulsing veins.
Spreading like a disease as it accesses my bloodstream.
It sings a melodic tune.
It hurts to keep it locked up.
To never be said.
Just relaxing there, patiently sitting in the waiting room of my thoughts.
I can't tell you this but it's always on the tip of my tongue.
And can slip at any moment.
