Chapter 52 : Don't Tell

I took a half day on work para magpa check up. I also take the bottle of the pills to get it checked. If I'm pregnant, I have to make sure that those pills didn't harm my baby. It's unplanned, pero hindi ibig sabihin non na ayaw ko sa baby. I'm not just ready. But now, I have to.

"Thank you Doc. Uhm, yung tungkol po doon sa pills? Wala naman po bang side effects yun sa baby?" nag aalangan ko pang tanong.

"Oh, yes! About that, I suggest you to stop taking the pills. The pill helps regenerate blood cells in a fast phase. One pill is too high for a normal person, and also, it's not prescribed for you. It can only be taken by specific person. Siguro hindi mo lang naramdaman ang effect ng pills dahil buntis ka, but don't worry. Wala naman akong nakitang naging epekto sa baby mo. But if you're going to continue taking the pills, it might cause harm to you and you're baby. Bibigyan na lang kita ng vitamins na pwede mong inumin." mahabang paliwanag ni Dra. David.

So talaga palang vitamins yun? One pill is already high dosage. Pero bakit si Ian, 3 pills a day? Regenerate blood cells, ganon ba talaga ka rare ang blood type niya? Nakakatakot! Wag sanang manahin ni baby!

"Uhm doc, itatanong ko lang po. May possibility ba na makuha ng baby ko yung blood type ng Daddy niya? Kasi po yung vitamins sa boyfriend ko po." Well ex-boyfriend!

"It depends. Is there any problem with his blood?" napakunot na tanong niya.

"Uhm, sabi niya po kasi he have this rare type blood. Do you have any idea about rare types doc?"

"Rare type? What do you mean by rare?" parang mas lalong naguluhan na tanong niya.

"Rarest type that if he won't take this vitamins." sabi ko na ipinakita ang bottle. "He'll get sick. He also told me that the doctors who treated him, found out that there is something in his blood that looks like cancer but not. They can't give an exact explanation about it." paliwanag ko.

"I never heard of that case. Is he treated here or abroad?"

"Hindi ko na po naitanong, but in any cases. May possibility po ba na makuha yon nang baby ko?"

"There is. But since the baby will grow inside you, there's only a small chance that the baby will get his blood type. Don't worry too much, you will have a regular check ups so we can make sure that your baby is healthy." nakangiting sabi ni doc kaya napatango na lang ako.

I'm hoping na maging healthy ang baby ko. No signs of any health problems. Please God! Wag mong pahihirapan ang baby ko!

I filed a resignation and went home. Meg was right, ako ang susunod na magre resign dahil buntis ako. But I don't want them to know about this. Sarili kong problema 'to at ayoko na mag alala pa sila sa akin.
