Chapter 12: Her Friends and Seeing Him

ADI POV

I woke up tired as hell. I was so confused and mad, mostly crushed. So many mixed feelings were controlling me. It's been 4 days, since me and Sidharth had spoken since the kiss. It was Saturday, my day off and I had to study for a big exam tomorrow, it was the last big exam of the year. Graduation was in 2 weeks. (online classes... Hats off to those of you that remember that!)

I decided to take a quick shower.. I got dressed and brushed my hair, putting it in a half in half. Shanti and Riya were both out of town but I did tell them. The group conversation went a little something like this.

Me: Sid kissed freakin Veronica... I don't really know what to do.

Riya: WTF! SHE PROBABLYJUST FORCED IT!!

Shanti: Gurl, no. She and he messed with my sister. Now I'ma go punch him! If I weren't in New Jersey.

Me: I don't know Riya... and Shanti, thanks, u know that I would do the same 4 u.

Shanti: I gtg but when I come back I am punching both of them.

Riya: ^ Yep

Me: Hehe, ya please don't. But bye...

So that was that. They were coming back in 2 days, wait 2 days! Anyways, I started studying for the last exam for the year. I studied to my best knowledge. As soon as I closed my book my phone rang.

Shanti: Hey Aids!

Adi: Shades, how's New Jersey!

Shanti: A lot of cute boys and food.... it's overall a good trip. But I was calling to ask if you can pick me up from the airport when I arrive? Ok thanks, bye

Adi: Woah, hold up. I'll definitely pick you up, what time and where do I need to drop you off at?

Shanti: Oh ya. Ok so I land at 1 so come at like 1:15pm and the house I share with the guys. Riya's sister is going to pick her up and she'll meet us at the house.

Adi: Ok! See you then!

Today was the day of the exam. It took about 2 hours to complete! But it was worth it though because I passed with 95.7%!! I did it.... graduation was in 1 week, well online graduation, where they announce your name and that jazzy stuff. I had to pick up Shanti in an hour so I immediately cleaned myself up. I took a quick shower and put on some skinny jeans and a plain black t-shirt, with my hair in a simple ponytail.

Slipping on my flip-flops, I grabbed an Arizona, my phone, and keys. I locked the door and walked towards my car. Just then, of course Sidharth pulls in into a parking space close to our apartments. Someone was with him, a guy, but I honestly didn't care, I didn't want to talk to him.

I mean, I don't know why I'm acting like this with him. He's just a guy that lives right below me, he's not my boyfriend. Although, with his awesome features, perfect hair, fluent English, toned abs... I really wouldn't mind having him as my boyfriend. NO! ADITI STOP! HE KISSED VERONICA!!!

Luckily I just said that in my head, otherwise that would just be very awkward if he heard me say that.

"Look, I know that I kissed that slut and I regret it. Also, really, Adi, you think of me that way?" Sidharth said, flirtatiously.
