Chapter 25: The Battle Tournaments (Part 1)

Katsuki wanted to win.

However, in doing so, he just made everything worse.

Immediately after the match started, Katsuki sent explosions to launch himself as a means to tackle Nagisa. Having quick reflexes, she dove to the side and let him get close to the boundary line.

"Go! Make him go further, Nagi!", Mina yelled. "Make her backflip to the boundary line, too, Baku-bro!"

Eijirou raised an eyebrow at her. "Whose side are you on?"

"Everyone's and no one's!"

Jirou actually choked after hearing that.

Down at the arena, it seemed like Nagisa was holding back, probably because of her will not to let her bloodlust show. It absolutely iritated Katsuki.

"Stop holding back, dangit!", he roared. "Show me your full potential!"

She stood rigid. At the podiums, Henri and Izuku's heart stopped for a moment.

"That's a bad move, Kacchan", Izuku squeaked. "A very bad move."

Notebook tilted her head to the side. "There's something I'm missing here."

Crystalline gave her an uninterested stare. "IQ, that's what."

"Rude!"

Cinnabar barked enthusiastically. Henri gave him a pat to the shoulder.

Notebook pouted. "You're not really helping, Mercury..."

Shoji perked up at hearing the last part and shrugged, thinking that it was just a trick in the ear.

Nagisa growled and tried to lunge at him--

Katsuki jumped over her using an explosion. It burned her skin a bit. "Come on! Or are you just one of the pebbles I have to get rid of to take my goal?"

Bitter.

The statement left a bitter taste in her mouth and she absolutely hated it. I want to end this quickly, but he's too fast to turn into stone and too swift to use the Stun Clap on him, especially since I can't really see him clearly with the explosions...

Unexpectedly, Nagisa spoke up. Her voice was venomous and seemed downright dangerous. "You want full potential? Fine. I'll give you mine."

It was quicker than what they could all comprehend. She sidestepped him and made him fall to the ground quicker than any average human could.

He attempted to counter her with an explosion to her face--

She grabbed his hand, caught him in mid-air, trapped him in a firm hold and immediately planted her lips against his.

The world froze. Thunder cracked.

All they could do was stare in shock at the incident that occured. The Dekusquad's jaws dropped.

Suddenly, Kaede perked up. "Hey, this is the technique that Nagisa used on me earlier this year when I went berserk! The Kiss of Death!"

Heads immediately whipped to her in utter horror. The green-haired teen blinked and nervously smiled. "Oh...did I say something wrong?"

Mina shoved her face against Tsuyu's chair in utter disbelief. She doesn't feel jealous at all?!

Tsuyu looked at her and let out a small croak.

Ochako blinked and turned to Izuku. Just as she'd anticipated, the greenette's eyes were locked onto the scene in that sharp, analyzing way she knew meant he was figuring it out.
