Chapter Twenty Two

"You can thank me later when I give you my actual gifts" I sighed looking away trying not to show him how much that statement affected me. Just the way he said it, threw me off and got me thinking. What gift could he get me that would have him smirking like this. So mischievous... I like it.

I froze as Tyler walked into my area then froze up for a second before continuing past us. I looked up to Harry still smiling as if he could care less, just focused on me. "Boss is letting me leave at lunch as a gift" I smiled at him and he nodded.

"Lunch then?" he asked and I just nodded "Lunch, and later I'll drop Gab to my parents for dinner" he stated. So it would just be us tonight again"Perfect" I smiled looking at Gabby was she watched us confused.

"I'll see you later" he stated and I nodded "Okay.." I whispered as we stared at each other as last night went through my head and I guess his too. He had no hesitation walking up to me and pressing his lips to mine.

As soon as his lips left, I looked down trying to compose myself. I took a few deep breaths looking down for a few seconds then back to"I'll see you later princess. Love you" "Love you too mommy" she said hugging me and giving me a kiss before they headed out. I didn't care for leaving before but now I don't think I could sit here and focus on anything. Lunch with my princess and best friend or sit here and deals with customers?

After lunch, I stopped by Bonnie's house to catch up a bit as the girls played together. Harry had something to do but said he would meet me back at my house later. I was fine with it, all I wanted was to spend my day with my favorite people.

"If you want, I can take Gabby for the night" she winked as I rolled my eyes shaking my head. "Thank you but, Eve already claimed her, said something about having a spa night with her. She asked if Lexi wanted to come with her later"

She smiled nodding "She would love that" "She would and she's with her best friend. She'll be in good hands and you can have the night to yourself to sleep or something" I smiled shrugging.

"Take her, I'm catching up on some shows, getting some wine and laying my ass on this couch" she simply said smiling making me laugh not blaming her. We loved our girls but sometimes just having a break was good to catch up on stuff and relax.

"So what does Harry Mr. Prince Charming have planned for today?" she asked making me laugh shrugging. She laughed shaking her head "Can't deny he's good. He's melting the ice in your heart" I hit her arm making her wince as I scolded her before laughing.

"I'm joking about that but, I'm really happy how you two have done a complete 180. I know something happened last night but, I won't ask what but, I'm so happy for you. Can't wait till you make it offic-" "Baby steps Bon" I quickly said cutting her off before she got carried away.

One of the reasons I haven't told her about last night. Just didn't want people already assuming if we were more. As of now, we are still friends. Friends that just had sex.

"Whatever, he's going to get you when you least expect it. Mark my words. Now, go meet him for your birthday dinner and dessert. Another bun in the oven" she stated whispering the last part as I grabbed the pillow throwing it at her before getting up.

I couldn't deny I was excited to get home right now.

Once Gab and Lexi were dropped off, I was heading home thinking about what this night had in store for us. I wasn't nervous about it being anything crazy. Harry knew I hated anything over the top, I was simple. A night of food and laughs was perfect for me.

Well, it was at home so it would be something cozy, small and personal I bet. Whatever it was, I was excited about it.

I unlocked the door walking in instantly smelling food hitting me.
