I was feeling better just a little sore and somewhat bruised up but the doctors said it was ok for me to go home so they discharged me. My daddy bought me clean clothes earlier so I took my shower in the hospitals bathroom and got dressed.
Me and Aug sat in the lobby until my daddy got back to pick us up.
"I just wanted to actually say thank you for coming to my house when you did." I said looking deep into his eyes. "I don't know if I would be alive or mentally right if you hadn't came."
"It's ight ma'." He said lifting my chin up.
"It's crazy how the one that supposed to love you can turn on you." I said.
"I'll never turn on you ma'." August said.
I smiled because I believed him. He never let me down. I'm glad he's in my life.

Aunjel's daddy came and got us. He was with his two older brothers whom had introduced themselves as Joey and Gino. They were coo and they was coo with me but for some reason I had the strangest feeling that they were gonna plot against Cortez.
