Chapter Fifty One: Sleepover

"Alright, so!" Katie pulled a random book off the shelf and slammed it down on the table like an action movie protagonist. "Since my parents are more understanding than the majority of parents in America, all of us will be here tonight! Shiro will be staying with Matt in his room, Alex will stay with me in my room, and Hunk, Lance, and Keith will be sharing the air mattress and couch in the living room! Any questions?"

Alex leaned her chin on her hand, "What are we doing now?"

"...Watching a movie?" Katie suggested. "I mean, that's what I was planning on. You guys want pizza?" The others nodded. "I will call out types of pizza, and you will answer if you want it. Each person gets three slices. Also, we're getting it from Frank's." She pulled out a sheet of loose leaf and a pen from a drawer on her right. "Plain?"

Hunk raised his hand. "Um, I'll have plain. And do I raise my hand or?"

"Yeah, that works." Katie nodded. "Pepperoni?"

Lance was the only one to raise his hand. "What are all of you waiting for?"

"Your cursed jalapeño pizza?" Katie stared at Shiro like he was a camera in The Office.

Lance stared at him, eye twitching. "Dude..."

Shiro just shrugged. "I would have gotten something like anchovies to weird you out, but Frank's doesn't have those."

"Okay, anyway." Katie continued, "Hawaiian?" All remaining hands went up.

Lance gasped and put his hand over his heart. "What in María's name is going on?"

"Deal with it." Katie handed the list to Matt. "Please make the call for our pizzas while I set up the living room." She clapped her hands, "People, follow me." She led them into the living room, where a stack of blankets was waiting on the sectional couch. "We will each select a blanket, except for Klance and Shatt, who will be sharing."

Keith and Lance shared a look. Keith turned back to her, "...Klance?"

"Yes. You're one item now." Katie swiped the one on the bottom. "This one's mine!" She shook it out and wrapped it around herself like a cloak. It had a galaxy pattern on it with blues and purples.

Alex grabbed a soft, black one off the top and sat down on the sofa next to Katie. Hunk took a pale cream one and sat in the left corner. Shiro quickly grabbed a plain, dark purple blanket and plopped down on the other side.

"Looks like we're stuck with this one," Lance unfolded the last blanket, a fluffy one with a Disney princess pattern. (It only had three princesses; Belle, Aurora, and Cinderella.) He sat down on the couch and patted the spot next to him. "C'mere Keith." The Korean boy plopped down next to him.

Katie turned on the TV. "Okay, so... since the first Last Jedi trailer is dropping next week, so we're gonna be watching The Force Awakens! Any objections?" She paused for a second. "No? Okay, The Force Awakens it is."  Katie pressed play, and the movie started as Matt came back into the room. He jumped onto the couch and snuggled into Shiro's side.

The pizza arrived around the time Finn found Rey, and the movie continued smoothly from there. Since all seven members of the group had seen it before, they talked throughout the movie. Their sarcastic commentary included various phrases like "Look! It's Poe Daaamneron!" and "Ooh la la, look at that Hydra-licious hair!"

The movie finished much faster than they thought it would have, and soon enough they were all reassembled to face each other, still buzzing with excitement and anticipation.

"Alright!" Katie pushed up her glasses excitedly. "Who's ready for truth or dare?"

Yes, I did actually say those things
And if you know where Hydra-licious™ is from... I'm proud of you
